Yes the store had two and bs showed full in stock message, they wouldn't sell me a pair but didn't have problems price adjusting because app showed the lower price. I went to a different store earlier this week that showed limited quantity but didn't have any out, they dropped to zero when price went to 45

Funny, i checked this morning and the price was still $75, must have updated late morning or afternoon.

Most stores that had it in stock are OOS now. A few may still have it, but I can't get there until morning.

BS alerted me lil after 11am that a large amount of stores had price dropped

I managed to get another Elite from another store that was showing Limited Stock, according to the manager the controllers were marked in the system to be re-priced down to $44.98 overnight so he went ahead and just repriced it immediately, which is typical for electronics markdowns at Target.

Would suggest you check brickseek and plan to go early tomorrow if you see a store that has them, they aren't going to last on the shelf long once they have a sticker showing the lower price / employees could very well snatch them up. As I was walking out with the second one I could hear the employees radio'ing the back to check if they had any more elite controllers in stock because they wanted to get one. Based on Brickseek store list they are clearing out quickly.

Sounds like fraud but you can always try. They'll just verify the price on their own scanners and it'll show that it isn't on clearance at their store. It'll also show the address of that store which will be a different address from where you're at.

 
Even if you found a young enough team member who would just try to blindly pricematch it for you, it's still gonna need a supervisor override to go down to $44.98, unlikely they'll do it when they realize what you're trying to do and can't find any indication that their store should be going that low

Shakopee, MN may have had some earlier this morning or another inventory error.

Not worth the trip to check Cottage Grove location, likely gone by now or inventory error.

Yeah I went to one store showing one in stock but it wasn't locked where it should've been, my best guess is someone got it unlocked from the shelf them stashed it to wait for price drop

I went into this morning figuring that I would encounter the same issue at my location. However, I was pleasantly surprised that they had SEVERAL of the items in stock. Since they were located in the back, I can't confirm...but I did hear an associate say that their inventory showed 12 on hand.

Of course, that was at store opening and prior to the two I picked up.

Savage was supposed to have 6 on hand, but nothing. The electronics guy said there were 2 earlier in the week, but different SKU.

Shakopee showed 2 in stock, but none in store or back, although the guy didn't physically go back there.

I suppose they could be stashed somewhere in the store. The last year or so, Target's inventory seems to be getting as bad as Walmart with clearance items.

YMMV but a lot of the Xbox One special controllers are also slowly getting cleared out, probably cuz MS keeps adding newer colorways, may be worth setting local alerts up if you need another controller, all of these are down to about $20 in my area at various stores and more keep slowly getting added.

Really want the destiny 2 mouse and keyboard but called and they said they were $34 and $50 something, not the $24 and $30 something showing on brickseek. Electronics markedowns still happening on Mondays or is it just whenever the employee gets around to it?

If brickseek shows it just go to the store and open the Target app, if the app shows the store price lower they will generally honor it and just adjust early
 
I'm pretty sure people are stashing in my area then coming back when the price drops, and yeah at $20 who cares what the controller looks like, I used 4 army camo controllers for awhile when they dropped to $13 or whatever at Walmart

Those controllers are always locked up (needs a key to slide off the shelf), there is no way to stash it unless you're an employee but it has a floor location at all stores so I doubt that.

If you're looking for it, it's in stock for $19.48 as of this morning at stores in IL, AL, KY, NC, DC, TX, VA, FL, MI, MN, MS, OK, TN and WV. Sounds like a lot but only 25 or so stores still have it in.

They give you the controller to take up front, not hard to just go drop it somewhere after that

Any store that does that is not following policy. It's an easy way for an associate to get warnings and eventually be fired. They are supposed to walk with you to the front with the item (if no one is in electronics to have you purchase it).

 
It happens, happened to me yesterday with some Logitech mouse. Manager was pissed (as she should be). They have someone walk you to the front with locked items b/c of theft. There is a reason it was locked up in the first place.

Thanks for the links btw. Don't think I ever saw those Destiny mouse / keyboard in store. Might go looking for them.

You might be able to spoof GPS before going there to make sure the app is updated if it's out of the way, I had no problem getting the price adjusted on the Elites I bought, just pointed out the Tagret app was lower and showed them it was the right store and dpci
 
You can change your store in the app actually and it'll pull up the in store price. No need to spoof. Go to account, my store; click "Change" and change it to the store you want the price from. Use the upc picture from BS and it'll give you the in store price. Do know that just b/c the price is updated in the app does not mean it is in store. It has to be marked down in store first to that price so might run into issues if it hasn't updated yet. But like Jurai said you should be able to price match the app but some stores won't allow you to do so.

Idk every store I went to was happy to adjust since the site reflected the change, rule of thumb just don't be a pushy dick and employees are usually happy to help, if you start throwing a fit then yeah
 
Yeah, just one of those things that differs based on store. I went to a bunch of stores yesterday to get clearance items and ran into issues at each store. After a manager came they marked them down to the app price though. Usually isn't an issue when you're buying 1 of an item but I always buy a bunch and all of them needed to be price adjusted to the app price since the pricing team had yet to come around and mark them down for the registers.
