How did Lundqvist win the Vezina over Quick? :cold:
It's a regular season award. Lundqvist was 3rd in wins, 5th in GAA and Tied for 3rd in Save %. If anyone could have won it over him it was Elliot had he played enough games.

Quick was 5th in Wins, 2nd in GAA and .01 behind Lundqvist in save percantage. It was close enough that East Coast bias assured a win for Lundqvist. It would've been nice for Quick to win it but Lundqvist deserved it. The Rangers did have a better record... in the regular season.

And Lundqvist was 0.02 behind Quick in GAA.

It was close, but he won more games and had the Rangers a game away from the President's Trophy. There's no east coast bias. That's a myth.

there is a total east coast bias. It didn't play much of a role here.

@destrovega - spot on about it being a regular season award. cause malkin didn't do shit in the playoffs.

I agree with everything in your post except for the last part.

Some people just aren't happy playing where they are, thus they wave their clause. Nothing funny about it IMHO. I really wish Tampa drafted Subban, he is going to be an awesome player.
