Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Unlock Second Week

Definitely interested in this one. I've only got SPAZ out of the bunch so far and the other games look interesting.

Apparently there was a happy hour and the average magically rose.  Good ol' IG.  Still waiting to see what the unlocks are.

I wouldn't sweat it - by the end of the bundle (after it gets extended three times) they'll be practically begging people to buy it...

If there was a HH nobody got in on it, not based on the top gifters.  One guy had 50 gifts by yesterday.  He has 70 today so maybe he got in on it?  Last time they did the same thing, first HH was really short and high priced.  Probably do a normal HH by tomorrow.

Aura? AURA? I am surprised they put this 9 years old Myst-clone as a hidden game.  By revealing it, they actually make the whole bundle perceived value LESS than before.  Well done, I guess? :whistle2:k

Aura was leaked in their newsletter way before it got unlocked anyway, so I'm not surprised by it. I expect to see at least one decent mystery game though.

I love how they have "Indie Gala June" at the top of the page. These guys are really on the ball.

I tricked you into thinking there was some happy hour development, didn't I? Sorry about that. It just stuck me as funny that they had the indie gala June thing at the top of the Summertide bundle page.

There's some decent bundles at the Indie Gala Store:

http://store.indiegala.com/index.php/bundles.html

The Patrician bundle especially - $1 for the Patricians & Merchants bundle on Steam:

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/2327/

Includes Patrician III, The Great Art Race, and Darkstar One.

Of course, no guarantee that they won't be bundled next month.
I think it's worth the risk of getting bundled for only a dollar. That's my max buy price for indie gala store purchases.

Hm I placed an order and paid the minimum $0.99 with Paypal, but I still haven't received any email with a Steam key.  Does it usually take a while?  It's been 20 or so minutes on my end.

They don't send keys via email. Click on my account/my serial numbers (if you're talking about the patricians and merchants pack).

Hydrophobia prophecy is one of the most boring games I've ever played. Is not a "bad" game, not broken either. Graphics are good (water effects were awesome). But it's soooo boring.

I don't even want this bundle at HH price.

I'll be selling a copy of hydrophobia prophecy soon, if a happy hour there will be.  lol  I haven't finished hydrophobia prophecy yet but I hate to admit that I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far.

You must hate reading, then. And RPGs. Did you only play the original before it was upgraded?

You're in an underwater complex being bombed by terrorists and you have to frantically race through levels and solve puzzles with your visor gear whilst killing bad guys shooting at you with harpoon and flare guns as the water level slowly rises. The water physics are great and will break glass panes, and exposed wires will electrify the area. The story isn't that bad, either. The platforming, puzzle-solving, and combat needing to be streamlined to avoid that much danger makes it much more exciting than the GTA games, imo.

I'm an avid reader, and RPG is my favourite genre.

When was it upgraded? I bought it some months after launch all the levels were more of the same. Yes, the water was awesome, the electricity, etc... But the gameplay bored me. Maybe I should try it again and see if the updates made some changes

I'm not a fan of the GTA franchise (newer games mostly) and I found HP even less enjoyable (yes, the upgraded version). I respect your opinion as I feel this game had potential, but for me it was unrealized potential.

Yeah, it still could have been better, but many of the obstacles involve the game's biggest enemy: the ocean itself. I feel like it's hard to do anything more creative with a sinking city and drowning that wasn't already in Bioshock. A game with a similar concept to this--terrorists trying to destroy a city in the ocean--is Brink, and while that game is better in multiplayer, I find the story, designs, and concepts in HP were a lot better. I liken it to the 90's survival-horror franchises like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, and Dino Crisis, only with much better graphics and controls.

But really, the point is that it isn't such a bad game, and you'll get it for 30 cents or so during HH. It's well worth that.

That's what I'm saying, it's not a bad game, the water is amazing... It just bored me after a couple hours (not upgraded version)

And of course, they've jacked up the prices. Not sure how much Fox would ask for as a tip, but based on the price of the 20-pack (about $35), each bundle would probably be between $2.00 to $2.50 if he bought now.

Does Fox even ask for tips or include them in his cost for us? He totally deserves it, either way.

Fox, I'm salivating...uncontrollably. I need my bundle fix. Help a brotha out!

Excuse my ignorance but how do you buy 20 bundle gifts if you are an early buyer? Or is it just buying the bundle 5 times?

It's included in the asking price. If you wanna throw him something extra on top of that, it's up to you.

Though I'm always afraid that I'll offend Fox's sensibilities by offering him a little bit extra. He's in this for the pure and pristine feeling of being able to help out his fellow CAGs. Giving him more money would just cheapen that beautiful act of selflessness. And I wouldn't want to insult my good friend Fox like that.
