Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

[customspoiler="Indie Gala: Making love for 2 minutes..."]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqZcYPEszN8[/customspoiler]

But seriously I'm getting pretty ticked off at these "Happy Hour" shenanigans. I want my bundle, dagnabit!

Oh well, I guess they never did HH for Indie Gala october? 6 hours left, guess I'll bite.

EDIT: Upon second thought, do I really want to pay $5.50 just for Knights of Pen and Paper and Gorky 17? Nah. (I already own Satazius, Showdown Effect, Ether Vapor Remaster, Fairy Bloom Freesia, etc. and it's seems like too much hassle to sell those keys.)

Happy Hour is on

lol, wow, looking at the top gifters list it looks like possibly a handful of people were able to get it. Not me unfortunately and I've been checking the site pretty much constantly the last few days. They'll likely extend the bundle and have HH again, but we'll see.

Well geez, I hope so. This is the first Indiegala bundle I've actually been interested in in like...ever.

Now comes the portion of our program where I bitch about the Happy Hour price increase.

Before Happy Hour the cost of buying 5 gifts was $22.XX.

Now that Happy Hour is on, it's $36.64

I don't know why I let this bug me since it's still a good deal even after the price increase thanks to the miracle for mega group buys. But bug me it does.

Does Indie Gala usually wait until the last minute to do a Happy Hour?
only recently, they try to psychologically mind fuck you into buying thinking you will miss it, it worked on me on the last one but not this one. ;)

I can get a few bundles out, and I'll just match Fox's price of 2.30, but first I need to now if anyone is interested, preferably in the next 15 minutes. Just pm me if you want one

Apparently I just barely missed HH. Not like they OWE me massive discounts, but boy oh boy does this remind me why I've almost completely disregarded IG for a few months now.

Is it worth to get it for Two worlds 2 dlc and maybe knights of pen and paper? Still have 2w2 backlogged xD
By all accounts, that's a quality indie and a quality DLC. Pirates has rarely been on sale alone cheaper than $5 and this is the first time KoPaP has been bundled.

The DLC is a separate campaign and IMO better. There's less superfluous stuff and the story was better, plus it's shorter but not super short which is better for people with backlogs.

Having said that, PM'ed you because I don't need it.

Knights of P&P is meh. It's literally the exact same game you get on mobile for $3 (or 99 cents if you catch it on a sale) with microtransactions and all.

I guess arguing that a PC game (with cards!) that you get in a bundle with a bunch of other games for $2 or so is a ripoff when the mobile version is $3 is a bit much :p but really it's very much a mobile game and I think it's better suited for that platform.

It's kind of fun and witty in small bursts but for longer sessions it gets grindy and old. There's just some games that I think don't transfer so well over from mobile to PC. Angry Birds is one and this is another.

Second: Happy Hour is up again, for however long they damn well please.

Thanks! When I get home I'll search and sacrifice some keys in your name (a.k.a. keydrop) ;)

I think I'll get KoP&P on mobile next time it goes on sale

I found KoP&P hilarious at first, but yes it does become very grindy, very quick. There might be a lot more humor to be found, but I didnt find it worth the time investment to get there. So my suggestion would be to not bother installing and instead find a Lets Play.

Darn, I had high hopes for this. I'm not completely anti-mobile games being ported to PC (I'm rather enjoying Ace Patrol), but having microtransactions is annoying. Oh well, as you said it's only $2, and I'm moderately interested in Two World 2 as well so even if I don't like it the bundle isn't a complete loss.

Went through and played about 2 hours of Knights of Pen and Paper....alright so far...pretty grindy but alright. Good in short bursts for sure.

I just got several more; twoavailable at $2.30 paypal

I look forward to finally playing through two worlds II. I just started on Risen, and man, mediocre rpg's can be fairly entertaining.

I actually played Knights of P&P to completion although I agree it is a fairly grindy game.  The 'quests' are generic so it is little more than a jrpg/old NES style RPG combat simulator.  Still if you like that sort of thing it's fun to spend an hour playing here and there.

I still have 5 slots available in my IndieGala Red Faction set I bought.  The price is $3.17 per slot (cheaper than the BTA price they are offering of $4.93).  Please PM me if you'd like to get in on it...

As a reminder, this bundle includes:

Red Faction

Red Faction 2

Red Faction Guerilla

Red Faction Armageddon

Red Faction Armageddon Path To War DLC

nice too bad i brought it when it came out lol for friend

Happy hour is still on, and I know one user who still wants a bundle. If at least one more person wants one for $2.30, I'll pick up another set.

Not sure if many people around here bought Indie Gala Sim or not but the developer told me via email that he has given Steam keys for Bridge Constructor to Indie Gala. Whether they get around to actually posting them to the profile is another matter.

Anyone who has Indie Gala Sim might want to email [email protected] to ask for a Bridge Constructor steam key.

Steam keys for Bridge Constructor have been added to the Indie Gala Sim profiles now.

I know that wasn't a popular bundle though since there were no Steam keys, no happy hour and a bunch of nichey games that mainly appeal to Germans and people who like weird games.  :p

I bought that bundle specifically for Bridge Constructor, hoping they'd come around and give keys. Glad to see it worked out.
