Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Scratch that...its broken

I skimmed over your post and only read Casey LaLonde.....Skitter works. Thank You does not. Sorry :)

Pretty frustrating. Was one of the first people that ordered... figured the codes would be sent by now, but nope, nada. Just contacted them about it.

Pretty cool. Lots of stuff in this one.

For the record, my e-mail was in my Spam Folder as well. It was sent immediately. I told Google "Google! This ain't be no spam, yo!" I found an e-mail apology from Google for the error... in my Spam Folder.
Can anyone download Casey Lalonde - Thank You? It's always a broken link for me.
@indiegala tweeted that it would be uploaded by tomorrow

Looks like I'm only going to go in for the lowest tier. Glad I passed on Fortix 2 through the past few sales. (Hadn't played the original yet despite buying it long ago.)

I'm interested in Greed Corp, but not enough so that I would shell out enough to hit the second tier. Besides, I have a 50% Steam coupon for it. Coupon or not, I'm sure I could get it eventually for less than what it would take to hit tier 2.

But first to empty my spam folder to make the email easier to find later...

anyone having problems with Critical Mass showing up in their library? I activated the key, but i'm not seeing it, I'm in the "All Games" section... if I try to activate it again it says I already own it...

anyone else have this problem?

Color me surprised. My email came immediately, and to my Inbox at that!

Go to the game's store page and see if it says "You already own Critical Mass" with a Play Now button. If so you can launch from there and if you restart Steam it should show up in your library.

I'm not sure what the tiers are for on the site. It says that if you pay $9.xx or more, you get 11 games and 7 albums.

I paid seven dollars because I only wanted the two games in the Gala Bundle 2 that I don't already own. At the time of my purchase, I "beat the average" of $5.xx and I was given all 11 game keys and downloads of the 7 albums.

So what's the deal with the pricing tiers on the front page?

I have greed corp on xbox already, but I was willing to drop $4 to get that roboblitz game and now it's $5.50 wtf. the page doesn't say shit about the prices of the tiers changing.

if it did, I would have bought it in the middle of the night when it went up, but they just lost $3.
I mean, at least this one has games that people actually want, but holy shit the people running this are clueless.

Holy crap, I officially have a Steam addiction problem. I tried to enter my key for Critical Mass, and Steam told me I already owned it. I had no recollection of ever buying it

Well, bought the first tier for Fortix 2. Would have loved to go to the second for Greed Corp, but i don't think it's worth the extra money alone. Oh well.

Greed Corp isn't anything spectacular and most people would probably get bored with it in a couple of hours. It's got a nice art style and the concept is functional enough but, overall, I found the game play a bit too simplistic to keep me playing.

Really glad I bought his bundle now. Was checking to see if maybe my keys got sent to the bulk folder and saw I had an invite to the Diablo 3 beta.

Welcome to the club. See you in Sanctuary ;)

Does anyone not want their music albums? Id be willing to throw in $2 for the 6 music albums if someones looking into the Big-Saver Bundle. Just drop me a PM with your Paypal addy.

I beat the average but I didn't get the keys from Indie Gala 1. I don't really care though, I have all the games from the first one.

Yeah, I beat the average as well, but didn't get any Indie Gala 1 content. I used the same email address as for the first Indie Gala though, so maybe it's only new buyers that get Indie Gala 1 content?

I used the same email also, so that might be it.

Wish Critical Mass had better/more varied music. Fun game but, oh God, does that stuff get repetitive. Guess I can just fire up an external player.

Bought the 2nd tier since I'd already bought the first bundle and only owned one game out of all the ones they included. I got my email immediately, but the download links (both for MP3 and FLAC) on my page for "Casey Lalonde - Thank You" are broken. Just checked their Twitter though. They're already aware of that issue, if anyone else was at all concerned.

anybody willing to pay $5.00 via paypal for all of the games (including 1st bundle) except Bunch of Heroes? only the keys though, i'd email them to you. feel free to message on steam @ mezdup.

Sure.

I still can't understand why noone buys these. Humble #4 sold over 400,000 copies. You'd think Indie Gala 2 could manage 50,000. Do they need better exposure? More marketing?

You could say it's the games, but the Humble Voxatron still sold well over 100,000, and every Indie Royale has sold like 30,000 or more.

I just don't get it.

Voxotron had quality bonuses. No other indie bundle brings quality like the humble bundle. Granted thts my opinion.

Part of it could be exposure. Checking google, "indie gala" returns about 192,000 results

"indie royale" returns about 271,000 results

Meanwhile,
"humble bundle" returns about 402,000 results and
"humble indie bundle" returns a whopping 5,000,000 results.

It's partly a vicious cycle. Humble Bundle was first, which got it more press, which meant more people bought, signed up for newsletters, spread word through twitter, facebook, etc.

However, there's some differences in how the bundles are run that is significant.

For one, Humble Bundle offers DRM-free downloads for all games, and most of them are on PC, Mac, and Linux. The Mac and Linux versions are important, as those users are often underserved by game developers. Also, a few Mac and Linux versions have premiered with the bundle, meaning that it was the first place those users could purchase a copy. Also, don't discount offering DRM-free downloads, as there are people out there that don't want to deal with DRM, even one as benign as Steam.

With Indie Gala, the games are all PC-only, and only on Steam. That severely limits the audience for it.

Then, there are the games. Humble Bundle has had some higher-profile games, and seems to pride itself on having high-quality games. This latest Indie Gala has Bunch of Heroes, which is widely considered to be awful.

I agree with this. I also think a huge part of it is that Humble Bundle started and stood for something (at least originally) which made it resonate in the community and press. With all the new indie bundles its more about making more profit then making a statement especially now that all of them have either minimum donation amounts or beat the average bonus items.

Personally, Humble Bundle brings in games I'm more interested in. The first IndieGala was good, but I gave more to Humble because I really wanted their games.

Can't say the current Humble Bundle is anything spectacular: Android focused, some recycled games, and -- so far -- no additional bonuses added after over a week.

I just got an email saying there are more bonuses coming but you have to have the Big Saver bundle to get them. I think that's what it says. I don't want to pay more money for the games they have available unless the bonus is really enticing. Of course, "Also, you can unlock the Big saver bundle or the Epic gala bundle, if you have already purchased the carebear." Did anyone purchase the carebear?! I hope I purchased the carebear. I swear something is lost in translation every step of the way with these guys.

The carebear bundle is the absolute minimum bundle that you could purchase, so if you didn't get the big saver or epic gala, you would've gotten that. I think they're trying to say that if you have the carebear bundle, you can increase your donation/purchase price to unlock the big saver or epic gala bundle which would grant you access to the bonuses next week.

They really should've set it up so that it's only ONE bundle though. Splitting it into multiple bundles just confuses people. They've basically mastered the art of confusion lol.

They just mean you can increase your amount donated to step up to the larger bundles. That said I believe the mid tier bundle is at $5.60 or so. I doubt they're going to offer anything interesting. And, yeah, it's funny how they basically hit the wall 24 hours after launch when they sold around 12k.

They added bonuses. I bought into the bottom tier because I just wanted one game and the bonus is Hacker Evolution. There should be more for the other tiers but it may just be albums.

I buy them all. *shrug* $4 to support indie game developers and push my steam library over 200 is worth it to me. And sometimes I get games that i actually play -- though it's highly unlikely I'll install anything that doesn't come with a steam key.

I guess it must be albums because I put in $10 and got the top tier and the only game I see added is Hacker Evolution.

I really wanted Saira. :whistle2:(

Where are you seeing the galapoints/bonuses? I Got the epic bundle last week and I just wanted to know where to look, also if it is even worth linking twitter or facebook.

I don't think they did the points yet. The 'bonus' right now as far as I can tell is just Hacker Evolution and then one new album if you did the middle or top tier.

These guys are never very clear and I'm not sure if it's an ESL thing or just them.
