I understand that Nintendo games tend to sell extremely well, but this game fell off the NPD list not even a month after its release. New Super Mario Bros. DS sold more than OoT in its second week on store shelves-- that is unfortunate. I think you are right, lutz. Poor sales of both go hand in hand.
On topic: I was considering biting on this, but a friend told me that another rumor started around the same time speculation began for a supposed 3DS price cut. It basically said that Nintendo would be lowering the price of all software as well ($30 standard I suppose, dropping the price of DS games, too). I think it seems unlikely, guess we will see by the end of the year. $40 for a handheld game is a lot to ask for, especially considering console games are $20 more, and I rarely play my 3DS anywhere besides my home.
