If they really want Tyson Kidd or Mason Ryan to get over, they'll put Vickie with one of them. Hell, she can get any heel over. I can't remember the last time someone got so much heat by only saying two words.
Yeah man nobody remembers the Freebirds. Those guys were all total garbage on the level of the Spirit Squad.
What else has he done, specifically in regards to the only top tier wrestling promotion that is still around? Even taking NWA into consideration, he was only a tag team wrestler. In the big picture, they made their mark but one became WWF's shill and the other two faded into horrible obscurity.
EDIT: And while I am not at all a religious person I can respect Sting for at least sticking to his beliefs unlike say Ted DiBiase Sr. and HBK who will forget theirs when a paycheck is involved.
What are some examples concerning Ted and HBK? I'm curious as I've never heard any stories pertaining to this.

I'm kind of bummed about Chavo. He's been a glorified jobber for years, but he's almost always had solid matches and could be counted on to make nearly anyone look good. I'm sure he'll get picked up by TNA if he's not given a trainer/agent spot - he'd even be a brilliant guy in ROH if he wanted solid competition and he'd be a great fit to help mentor their very young locker room.

Remember!

There is a ROH iPPV tomorrow at 4pm.

But yeah, pretty much anything HBK did in DX's second run. He made a big deal about how he was reborn only to go on TV and do whatever the writer's want ed to get paid. When DiBiase got religious and preachy he started to go on about Vince, the WWF/E, and the business as a whole being evil but as soon as he was offered a legends contract he seems to have forgotten about all that.

Sure, neither of them are aborting fetuses on the way to the ring but it's a contrast to Sting and that he straight up said he won't do things that conflict with his beliefs. To each their own; we've all got our own opinions and views.

What the fuck!?!?!? When did the Embassy come back?! Is Jimmy Rave still the crown jewel? Is Prince Nana still the mouthpiece?

The Embassy never goes away for good. Prince Nana will always have new guys to put into his stable. Last I heard Necrobutcher was heel and working for them too.

There was some stuff Shawn would disappear for during the run. Like the BBQ when HHH said, Hey isn't that Mr. Fuji? And Shawn went off screen to chase after him while HHH called the girls in to rip off their shirts and flash the crowd. Nowhere to be seen for the HHH-Candace orgasm scene. I'm just saying, it's a fact that he wouldn't do everything the writers scripted.

Damn man. I stopped watching once Nana was gone. I thought he was gone for good. I need to find the event when he returned.

Oh, hey, what's going on with Delirious? He was my number 1 favorite. Marked out like crazy when he got the win of Danielson in that 8 man elimination tag years ago.
Yeah with Y2J on hiatus and Booker behind the desk. The only WCW guy still in a WWE ring is Rey Jr.
Rey didn't even join the WWE until after the Invasion angle was done.

On that note... new "Off The Air" is out. This is the series where the recent "The uuhh Gravy uuuhh Bowl uuuhhhhhh" bit from Botchamania came from.

For whoever was asking about wrestlers being involved in the religion-heavy stuff - this show had Sting, Dibiase, Michaels, Bagwell, Animal, and others participating. It's one of those 'rasslin + religion shows (that's part 1, there are several more parts after).

Basically Valentine and Bagwell are the heels who attack a pastor during a Sting match, Michaels comes down to clear them out, then Sting gets attacked by THE FORCES OF SATAN and has to break the chains of the devil by believing in Jesus or whatever. I wouldn't advise watching the whole thing or even most of it, but you can shuttle through it to get the gist of it.
Seriously? ROH is well worth $15 legit.
It may be, but JJSP is having trouble finding a group to share that burden with.

By the way for those who already put your order in for the ROH iPPV....

ROH has the video feed up already. Right now its video only showing them go over the eight man tag match. Nothing real revealing as they are just going over spots but a kinda cool look behind the scenes.

Nevermind... feed stopped a moment ago just as the audio was turned on.

Preshow on now.

Yeah Rey came after the invasion. Chavo was the last invasion member left, but I was saying guys who wrestled in WCW period.

I am not sure what Delirious is up to in ROH since defeating Kevin Steen finally. That was the Feud of the year last year.

Delirious != Generico.

Delirious, last I saw, ended his feud with Austin Aries in September and then got creamed by the All Night Express to take him off television. He's the head booker for ROH last I knew, but hasn't wrestled regularly for them since.

Man I dun goofed. I was thinking of the other masked man El Generico. That's really bad.

Delirious was feuding with Austin Aries last because Aries went after Daisy Haze during a Delirious and Aries match.

*edit* and Iron Clad Burrito already put me in my place seconds before I could redeem myself.

Big Show

Big Show and William Regal as well, but those guys jumped over in '99 and '00, so I guess you're just talking about people brought over after the buyout?

Oh, and technically Charles Robinson (ref). He's a WCW guy in a WWE ring.

And boy, does he ever get to the ring.

ROH Best In The World full results:

Tommaso Ciampa def. Colt Cabana. Blown ending. 1 1/2 out of 5.

Jay Lethel def 'The Prodigy' Mike Bennett. Good match that told a decent story during it. 2 3/4th out of 5.

Homicide def Rhino in a "No Holds Barred Barrio Street Fight." Decent garbage brawl. 2 1/2 out of 5.

Michael Elgin with Truth Martini def. Steve Corino with Jimmy Jacobs. Corino cut a promo before the match to tell the crowd Kevin Steen was in the crowd. Steen got to ringside by Cornette and security stopped him from getting past the guard rails. The crowd got irate with "bullshit" chants when Steen went away. 2 1/2 out of 5.

Post Match: Elgin and Martini beat down Corino and Jacobs until Steen came back in the building to make the save. Cornette came back out and tried to have Steen escorted out (again) but Corino begged Cornette to let him talk. Steen started to seem like he was about to apologize but then turned around and said "fuck Ring Of Honor" then attacked the beaten down Corino. Security ran into the ring to stop Steen. The fans meanwhile started El Generico's OLE chant as Steen was taken out the building. Cornette vows to never allow Steen near an ROH ring again. Epic segment.

iPPV goes to intermission as medics attend to Steve Corino.

El Generico def. Christopher Daniels with Truth Martini to win the ROH World TV Title. Great match with some great spots and overall great. 4 out of 5.

World Tag Team Title Four Way Elimination Match - ROH World Tag Team Champions Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) defend vs. The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe up now.

5:27 PM - Briscoes eliminated. Great match so far.

5:39 PM - All Night Express eliminated.

5:45 PM - Briscoes come back in and interfere with the match. Match ends on an DQ. WGTT retains. Match = 4 out of 5.

DAVEY RICHARDS DEFEATS EDDIE EDWARDS TO WIN THE RING OF HONOR WORLD TITLE!!!!! FIVE OUT OF FIVE. MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE!!!!

I would like to see Regal back in the ring. Has he even had a match since he started doing commentary on NXT?

I heard/read on Botchamania.com that the iPPV went on air too early, and you could see rasslers hanging out with each other, and Delirious unmasked.

I didn't realize Delirious was down there unmasked. This isn't the first time the iPPV stream has started early. One of the previous iPPV's stream started early with the mic tests and what not going on.

If you really want to split hairs, Triple H wrestled for WCW before he ever showed up in the WWE as his blueblood character. However, I understand the gist of the discussion and yeah, he doesn't really qualify as a WCW guy.

What about Goldust? He certainly had a pretty prominant role in WCW as Dustin Rhodes right before he jumped to the WWE as Goldust. According to wikipedia he's still employed by WWE.

Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards was a thing of beauty. Everyone needs to watch it as it was pretty much amazing. Best technically fought match of 2011.

$10 for a live seat was a steal for the match. I can't wait for the rematch. Davey Richards really is the best wrestler in the world right now.

Even moreso, the ending speech pratically had me in tears.

"Hey grandma. Hey grandpa. I did it!"

Dustin did wrestle in the WWF before WCW. He was involved in a feud with his dad against Dibiase & Virgil.

He did sort of "make his name" in WCW later, but being on the Royal Rumble PPV wasn't exactly something to disregard, either.

Vader had a recurring role (three episode arc) as the father of one of the secondary characters. Wasn't a guest appearance per se.

Oh please. I thought the winky face was enough to show that I'm too lazy to download (or pay $15 to watch) a PPV on my laptop screen.
I also recall seeing Mick Foley on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. They didn't make a big deal of it, but he was there. I can't exactly remember, but I think he was at a biker restaurant with Twisted Sister?

Edit: Found it, for those who care for random appearances.

I think Mick's first appearance is at 6:30 in the video. There are a few more shots of him but I didn't notice them ever point it out directly.

@JP: I added a time stamp to the earliest time I saw him which is 5:27, but I didn't know CAG doesn't allow support for that.
For those who saw the PPV, how would you rate the main event?
5 out of 5 stars. Match of the year candidate.
Oh please. I thought the winky face was enough to show that I'm too lazy to download (or pay $15 to watch) a PPV on my laptop screen.
Sorry. Sometimes its hard to tell when something like that is a joke on a message forum. By the way if your laptop does have an HDMI or VGA output on it then you can hook it up to your HDTV.
Vader had a recurring role (three episode arc) as the father of one of the secondary characters. Wasn't a guest appearance per se.
Indeed. He was Frankie's dad. Frankie was played by Ethan Suplee (of My Name is Earl/Mallrats/American History X fame.)

As noted before, former ROH Tag Team Champions Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli received a WWE tryout match before last week's tapings. Both were said to have done well as they performed in front of officials before the tapings. Last word is that they had an offer from WWE but had not signed it. Some in Ring of Honor were under the impression that they would be signing with WWE.

Think we'll see Claudio and Hero in WWE?
Think we'll see Claudio and Hero in WWE?
sure. with new names, haircuts (for Hero anyway), and a stint in FCW to boot!
Think we'll see Claudio and Hero in WWE?
It's quite possible. The payday at the independent level isn't all that great (or even good for that matter) and Claudio looks like a beast compared to a majority of the guys in any wrestling company. I would imagine Vince would have a total hard-on for him.

Hero however isn't quite the specimen that Claudio is. His mid-section is a bit flabby and I think he'll have to sort that out in the gym before they get anywhere close to putting him on TV. His gift of gab might score him some points, but I think unless he tones up a bit more, he'll have a hard time not being turned into another Brandon Walker.

Did you know, according to IMDB:

Randy Savage's last film role was the original SPIDER-MAN (2002) movie?

spiderman.jpg

I had to look that up, after me and some friends decided to put the film on, and remembered how funny his "Bone Saw" character was with Bruce Campbell in that movie.

Good times!

If you're talking about on-screen appearances, yes, but if you include voices as well, he was also in Bolt.. and, apparently, as a gorilla in King of the Hill.
