Working for independent people (which happens a lot) is always a hassle because you have spend so much time convincing how things in the real production world works. Especially with money, people think that because you can point a camera at something and upload it to youtube its makes them a director/actor/production hand/camera guy.
I love watching these youtbe "movies," where they are crossing the line like crazy and the only people watching are 50 people they know. That episode of South Park where they talk about internet money is the bible in my eyes.[/QUOTE]

I found the most lucrative videogame a/v production jobs are either the ones funded by videogame publishers' marketing departments or videogame news sites funded by VCs who don't know the first thing about videogames. Producing 5 E3 booth videos are enough to fund half-a-year's worth of pet projects.
