We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.

So if I'm understanding correctly, we have 4 additional hours each day to catch the last day's deals? I like this! Tis a very cool feature, and I know a few times here on CAG I've seen peeps miss deals by just a few minutes due to waffling. =P

DNF and Dungeons of Dredmor for me. My inventory finally worked and I got 3 lumps of coal and a 33% Valve coupon. All that wait and I get three pieces of what I usually threaten my kids with around this time when they're acting up.
 
To Chantelise, or not to Chantelise, that is the question.

Thoughts on this little out of the way game? (including total playtime to beat if you made it through - too many games, too little time).

Same here. Lego Batman's not low enough for me to double-dip just to have it on Steam, and the original Half-Life will sit in my backlog until the next sale anyway.

Witcher looks like it's a little too dark and violent for my tastes, but I like RPGs. for $2.50 I'll give it a try.

Christ not only can I not buy or look at stuff today it decided to compltly boot me off steam. I cant even accese my friends list. Valve needs to get their shit together. I knew that each year the deals got smaller at these sales....but I never thought the service would get worse too.
 
Too bad Sacred 2 isn't $4.99. Even though I've been wanting it, I'm not paying $9.99 for it. I'm tempted to get the Half Life Collection because I only own Orange Box for 360.

So.. I still haven't played HL:Episode 1 or 2 yet. Are the prices on them going to go any lower do you think? Or should I jump on them now...

And does anyone have a 50% off Valve coupon that they're willing to provide me..? I feel bad for asking..

Tried to get the Spiral Knights achievement yesterday but couldn't get into the Lockdown area. Just kept waiting and waiting. Hope it's better tonight when I get home.
 
I'm a bit perplexed about Steam's insistence that The Witcher 2 will not go below $25 each time it's on sale, while several of their competitors have had it for $20. I hear it's easily worth the $25, but still... c'mon...

They've been out for ages now, I doubt you'll get a better deal then what it's at now.
 
After several attempts, my Portal 2 tab has returned and I have been rewarded the two Coal I apparently earned yesterday.

Disappointing that there isn't a Steam UI objective this time. Then again, if it dissuades people from exploiting dummy accounts, it's all good.
 
Looks like nothing for me today, I guess thats fine considering SWTOR is out today, although was really really hoping they would have at least came close to amazon's price of $16.00 from a couple weeks ago...
 
I also cant help but feel they are sticking pretty close to what the prices have been on the Autumn sale and the DD thereafter... which in some cases are disappointing, even though there would be the people who say "thanks for screwing over those who paid more for it 2 weeks ago"

Got into Lockdown easily this afternoon. The achievement only took about 5 minutes. The first map wasn't Frostbite. Got it on the next try.

Weirdly, the prize hasn't been unlocked yet even though it says I've got the achievement in my recent activity and in the achievement section of the game itself. It doesn't appear unlocked on the gift page though.

I havent played it at all. A friend was telling me you have to play for 10-20 minutes just to be able to play multiplayer to get this.
 
It's the developers/publishers which typically set the %-off not Steam/Valve.

Steam/Valve will often approach them and sometimes even make a suggestion if they are asked to do so but the ultimate decision lies with the developers/publishers.
 
The achievement for Dungeons of Dreadmore takes like 5 mins maybe 10 if your unlucky. Start a new game, choose Alchemy as a perk, look for the items items and craft it. Bam, done.

Although Steam is saying I did not complete the achievement yet :bomb:

That game is pretty good for the $1.24 they are selling it for, feels like an old school RPG from like the late 80's. Fun times.
 
Just the Dungeons of Dredmore DLC for me today. 74 cents is practically free.

Same with me and DoD. Made Diggle Nog, got the Achievement in my profile. Not unlocked on the gift page.
 
Might get Dungeons of Dreadmore, the achievement is extra incentive. The Spiral knights one was easy (assuming you've played the game) Just join in a lockdown match and pick up a snowball and hit someone with it.

Also is it just me or does the A.I. Fleet command one seem a little extreme?

Also is anyone else caring less and less about call of duty games everytime they go on sale for way to much?

I got it in about 15 minutes of gameplay. You just need to collect 200 of the cash items to get into the lockdown board.

Once I was in the board, it took about 2 minutes to get a snowball and hit someone.

I started the game cause it sounded like an easy achievement. I finally got to the first town and you're allowed to start the lockdown mode, but it turned out you need 200 "crowns" to enter and I only had 47 so I gave up and quit. I don't have the will or patience to learn how to get more crowns and then actually do that. If it's quick and easy then I guess I should have stuck with it.

Also my inventory seemed to be fixed when thenew deals were put up as I had 2 coal added. But now when I look my free Half Life 1 game from yesterday is now gone.

Also of note when I restarted Steam a bit ago I got a pop up message saying New content for my game (Renegade Ops) was now available, but I never purchased it and it's not in my library.

Steam is still mega borked.
 
I got the Renegade Ops message too. Was confused as I don't have it either.

Debating on the Half Life Complete pack. I mostly just want HL2 plus the episodes/DM/etc., as I already have HL1 complete. I'm assuming Steam won't give me extra copies, will it? I didn't see anything on the package page, at least. Bah, humbug.
 
Dang, I should have waited on Psychonauts back when it was on sale during the thanksgiving sale or whenever it was. hadn't been on sale in forever, figured it probably wouldn't go past $5 anyway, and here it is at $2.50.

Ah well, can't really complain, I guess, I've gotten my fair share of deals on steam, and I was pretty happy to pick it up at $5.
 
Inventory almost fixed. I can see that Items exist on the tabs, they just refuse to load. I also don't have as many as I should.
