We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.

If I have already played Just Cause 2, will I care about the first at all?


How do you ensure only CAG group can get a steamgift? Is it an option during the process of setting up the giveaway?

You must be a member of the cag steam group, and then you will have the option to limit it to that group when making the giveaway.

Good luck. I already PM'ed him about it. Been trying to win one for ages. Even with the overflow of copies on SteamGifts I still haven't won a copy. It's statistically amazing.
 
Okay then. I've been throwing all my "bonus" steamgift points at The Last Remnant. It's the only game from the Amazon squeenix sale that I don't own/already played (other than JC1 - which the general consensus is don't bother with if you have 2).

I bought the bundle and was going to throw The Last Remnant up on SteamGifts but saw it went for a low amount and with the overflow of The Ship I didn't bother so I just used it. I should have held on a few hours longer and then I could have given it to you. Sorry :(

The first Just Cause is clumsy and boring. The second is the same concept, except a billion times better. I can't recommend the first, whether you've played the second one or not, frankly, especially since the second one exists.

Yeah, this happened to me with Alan Wake, I was forced to install Impulse to retrieve a steam key that others were getting via email at the same time. I complained to them and they told me they never issue steam keys by email. Their client sucks and I had to go to extra lengths after uninstalling it to actually get rid of everything. I kept finding files it left behind for a couple weeks. Never buying from them again.

I wouldn't hold your breath on them being in an indie bundle, but Amazon might eventually do something. I picked one up for cheeps in the Summer Sale event.

Hmmm, this is actually on my wishlist, but too many similar games I want to play and already have. Could also wait for a further MSRP drop too. Maybe to $10. Never happening, but this game should have a 4 pack.

Amazon doesn't sell them. You can only get the English PC Ys games officially on Steam.

And they aren't indie. XSeed isn't indie. Valve put one of those games in one of its Steam indie bundles over the summer so XSeed went along but you won't ever see them in Humble, Royale, Groupees or Gala or whatever.

They might show up in some of those Steam indie bundles again but those are not priced as aggressively and unless you absolutely want every game in them you are better off just buying the games individually during the big sale.

Lol most games in those bundles aren't indie anymore. Anything goes at this point and it wouldn't shock me in the least if the YS games showed up in a bundle.

Yeah, it's sad how free stuff brings out the worst in people. Users making multiple accounts on Amazon and redeeming codes on all of them to giveaway.

What I don't get is why people complain about the ship giveaways..? It's free, people complain because there are not much free games, and now that there's a ton of them, they don't want it... who gets them.

Yeah, obviously there are people who are creating multiple to use the code more than once.

Hell, I could almost see doing it if you wanted to get a bunch of DLC for yourself. But going through all that hassle just so you can give it away on steamgifts to get a lousy $2 in contributor value? I just don't get that. That's insane.
 
I dont have any problem with the ship. Its a nice game and I surely welcome more people to populate the multiplayer. I just find it funny that half of the giveaways on steamgifts are for that :p
