The winner is....

OneTrackMind makes CAG because of all the "This weeks deals" he always puts up for everyone a week in advance of the actual sale.

shipwreck because I won a buncha swag off him here recently. ^_^

6669.
Longest standing free magazine poster on the CAG forums.
Always has the best magazines for free, scouted out. Even left for a bit, then came back just to post more magazines. Awesome forumer.

A close second would be JimmieMac, only because he IS the resident CAG clown :p

Strell

Normally, I wouldn't literally "laugh out loud" at something someone said on the internet. I don't know why, but he has made me do it more than a few times. CAG is about money and funny.
He brings the funny.

Even though he is a dick alot of the time, I would say Scorch, but he is what makes up a great CAG community.

2nd would be IO, because of him, I knew about the GR deals way early in advance

I vote for fatmanforlife99 as the person who makes CAG! He eats all the rifraf and keeps the site great!

I LOVE YOU FATMAN! Keep up the good work!

CAG is a community where every member is essential to it. Everyone from the Japanophiles to the "Free iPod" spammers, the fat wallet hoarders, the GameFAQs converts, the Fake Celebrity Members, the Poopin' attorneys,Vietnamese ladies asking for workout tips, douchebags with chipped teeth, A motherfuckin' New England Icon, Giant Crustaceans being flipped, and the Hot Mario Avatars. It's a melting pot of nerds and cheap bastards, and I'm not really sure where I fit in, but I love it.

/end fake ass rant

Anyways my vote's for Kayden, he's like that older, college-aged guy in your neighborhood who would buy you ciggarettes and porn when you were in junior high.

thanks man thats great:applause:

6669.

Because of her, i will never ever have a week without a new magazine. I will have maxim, fhm, blender and EGM until 2011 because her. Thanks.

I would also have to second 6669. The free magazines subscriptions that she dilligently posts on the site is one of the major reasons why checking this site has become one of my daily activities.

:whistle2:$ dood! You weren't supposed to tell!

Superman,

Because without Superman a new continent would be occupying the ocean right next to the U.S. drowning all of us in the process, effectively killing off 95% of the people that visit CAG everyday. So, I would like to say, thank you Superman for helping us live in a brighter tomorrow.

I'd have to say JimmieMac. I think that he can be a dick sometimes (err, a lot of the times) but he's not afraid to say what he thinks and I think his bluntness and disregard for all adds a lot of color to the forums. That and he's a great cook.

Strell.
His Nintendo fanboyism represents CAGs the world over.
I mean, what kind of CAG doesn't go crazy over a console that's 1/3 the price of a PS3?
And his constant joygasms during the E3 keynote?
So powerful I felt them here in Cincy.
And he's dead sexy.
As in sexy when he's dead.
Because some day he will be dead.
And we will all weap, not for his passing, but because he doesn't look like his avatar.

And his sigs make me laugh the lols and roflols.

EDIT: Or was that Reality's Fringe?

fuck it, I'm changing my vote.

Admiral Akbar for without him we would all be caught in far too many traps.

I wonder what the Admiral would think about this contest?

it's got to be io...he's always quick on the draw with the pricegrabber rebates (last time i checked, he has over 300 bucks in rebates alone from pricegrabber! probably more by now!)...he also has an insane amount of built-up credit at game stores and is always quick to get in on all of the good deals (both online and off)...he's a nice guy and very helpful on the forums...he's always keeping us posted on tradein values, and even though i don't trade in games at b&m stores that much, i'm glad that io has CAG's back with a major amount of updates on trade-in values and such

CheapyD because this is his brain child, he turned is love of games into something big, he is now a tv "celeb" and his head is shinny.

whoknows for posting this, because it made me lol

No but seriously, my vote would have to go to

apossum

If you post on the fighter thread you surely know apossum, he's a great guy, makes informative posts and always post good time killing links (like interviews with Itagaki). What makes him the best however, even better than Shrike imo, is back when I was ordering a fliptop for my ps2 so that I could start importing, he was more than helpful. I had mentioned it in one of the threads and he sent me a PM full of helpful information and I think it even had a link on where to order one for the best price

I think whoever wins, the person they nominate should get something too. And if they say 'Oh, I can't name just one person to make up CAG...' then it should go to me.

roffles.

Here's my list:

Onetrackmind (for the live sessions we used to play, and for being a great guy)
Joevan (for selling me my DC and the fun on live with halo)
Shrike (Great CAG trader, great guy)
Pimpinc333 (for the live sessions, and being a great CAG Trader)
Linkinprime (For all the news, and hooking me up with those custom gamercards)
Blood_rayne (for keeping my tl bumped over vacation :D)

my vote goes towards io...

In the world of CAG: He's a great team member and is always helping when needed. He's honest and is a great participant in anything on CAg that he is involved with ranging from casual talk, gaming chit-chat, and deal discussion. I always find a new way to admire his input here on CAG.

In the real world: He's a busy working father of a a bunch of Nintendo grown kids (check his avatar for proof). His compassion for gaming obviously shows in how he raises his kids. He's very likeable and very open about his life. Wonderful guy :)

Overall, guys like this make CAG a place I can keep comming back to.

I agree that every CAG makes CAG what it is, but Apossum gets my vote. He's one hilarious motherfucker, and we had some good times on Xbox Live playing Dead or Alive: Ultimate. He posts in just about every forum, and is never genuinely mean or hateful towards anyone who didn't really deserve it. A stand up guy all around. I also have some serious respect for mykevermin and epobirs.

Stink_Pickle, he went above and beyond a CAG's duty and personally hunted down a thief for other CAG's. He went to the guy's HOUSE! Things like that make a place like this great.

:whistle2:s

Maybe...

Dang it. When I saw you replied in this thread, I thought for sure it would be an announcement of the winner.

*Sigh* Guess I'll find a way to live without my awesome prize for a little while longer.
Kayden...and the reason is because his TV does not fit in his entertainment center, so he put it in on an angle.
 It fits just the way I want it!

I have to say CheapyD because he is the only reason that there is a CAG, and with out CAG, I would still be paying $50 for video games.

I'm a big fan of WhipSmartBanky. Ever since this site opened up that guy could always make me laugh. And the thing he is doing with the tshirts is just awesome.

I've mentioned him now in two contests...I swear I'm not a stalker!

CheapyD makes CAG. Not only did he literally make the site, he adds to it day by day and stays involved in every aspect. He always knows whats going on around here and gives us coupons and deals for anything and everything. Without him, noone would have free shipping on everything they buy from EB/Gamestop.

CheapyD, easily: he made the site, is the star of the CAGcast, and probably posts the most deals. Besides that he's friendly, always willing to help, and occasionally pops into the off topic forums.
Can I enter? It ays mods only, or not or, uh can't understand the rules.
Yes.

Ends 17-August-2006-Midnight EST

Ozzkev55. He sent me a sig (one I have now) via PM one day without me even asking for one. He was cool as hell about it telling me he knows how much I like Bill and he just whipped out a quick sig for me. He went on about if I didn't like it he would make me a beter one but I love my sig. Thanks again OTM and thanks for keeping CAG a beautiful place. We could use more like you around here and less hoarders around here. Thanks OP and all the other good CAG on this site that go underappreciated and unknown :applause:

Also I would like to give a shoutout to all the good nongreedy helpful CAG on the trading forum. Share the wealth, that's what I always say (and do.)

Runner up goes to DaPhatty.

wombat, because where else besides the cagcast could hear we hear about the intelligence of microsoft's redneck customer support...

Hmmm I have to choose a CAG? Lets see...I would have to say CheapD, he did make the site and I couldnt really be even posting this without him. Due to his existence, making the site, and then me joining, I was able to save a lot of money on games I normally would be buying at full price. This has helped with learning to spend wisely and will help me in the future. I have a learned a great deal of knowledge from this site. I no longer buy games without coupans, I protect all my games, I go to every garage sell I see, I learned that patience is a great deal when buying a game.

If it wasnt for CheapD, none of this would have happened. I greatly appreciate him and the community. Thank You. And with that, I say "Can I have my game now? Im broke"

*turns wallet upside down*
*a dollar slowly floats to the ground*

>_>

ARGH! NOT A 6 MONTH MEMBER! I am so annoyed. W/e. I'll just leave it on, just in case. Please?

I collect vintage video game systems. It's what I like to do. I've looked far and wide for vintage video game systems. I'M pretty new, but if you looked at me at first glance, you'd think I was a professional! The way I flash the cash in the owners faces, the way I name flaws in the system. But, unbeknownst to you, I'm also sneaking glances at a certain guide I printed from the CAGwiki.

I realize that I chose two members, but they both worked for the same goal. Without them, I would've been stuck in my house, playing all my current gen systems. And, thanks to them, I'm up every saturday morning, Flashing the cash in sellers faces, pointing out flaws in the system, and questioning strange old women to see if their 20 year old sons left any videogames behind that she didn't put out. So, If you want a real credit to the CAG community, choose these two. Because without them, I wouldn't have such a notourious reputation with several garage sale companies.

-Man with the Plan

Shipwreck makes CAG what it is, not only for his impressive collection of games, but for his general attitude towards the site - he generally wants to be helpful. Many informative threads have been created, but some of the most informative are borne from shipwreck's devotion to the site; I checked fervently through my local Gamestop for games that were in his Pricegrabber $5 rebate form topic, and I happened to come across at least six that were less than $5. When I printed the forms that he provided and sent them in, I received about $10 more than I originally spent, and the games were as good as free. The fact that he is a dilligent, unbiased, and generally well-intentioned member is what makes CAG what it is - if it wasn't for him, this forum would be less of a bargain hunting site and more of a "lozl flaming cuz we kool" site, and the last thing we need is another one of those.

coolz481 sold me Daigaso! Band Brothers and Daigasso! Band Brothers Expansion Cartridge in perfect condtion for $49. Plus, he was extremely patient with payment and shipped extremely fast. He makes CAG better.

EVERY MEMBER Just like the rest I'm greatful for CheapyD and his vision. Also you can't say enough about the mods and how they keep everything going. Though these are at the top, it is the members as a whole that make CAG. Whether you're a newb posting/trading for the first time or that first member to post the next great deal. So many great names come to mind, Scorch, Roufuss, Pookymeister, Terabyte7 and the list goes on. Each one of us makes CAG and that is what makes this site so great. A gaming community whose goal is to help out those who are strapped for cash. Money is tight for most and this site allows us to stretch that measily paycheck to it's full potential:p

This list is in no what comprehensive. There are far too many people that make CAG what it is to narrow it down.

Javeryh: For Poop stories and legal advice.
Jaykrue: For Poon stories and real estate advice.
WhipSmartBanky: For the art and teh ha-ha's.
Angellic Lulu: For the love of the tots (I'm talking about the kids she's teaching, you pervs.)
Shrike: The old man, keeps the board running orderly.
Neko Hime: Allows CheapyD to do this, and if funny and interesting to boot.
Epobirs: Smarter than you. :)

I have to nominate a few people here.

Shrike - He has given me amazing advice, went out of his way to pick up games at sales for me, and came over and hooked up my dsl/xbl for me. He's always been nothing but nice to me and is an huge assest to the community here. He basically keeps the trade forums going and is one of the few most unselfish people i've ever met.

JoeVan - Definetly one of my best friends on the board. Besides just the simple things like bumping up my tradelist he's also done his fair share of awesome things for fellow cags.

Moxio - The guy has one of the best sense of humor, and i've honestly never seen him be mean to a single person on the boards. Hes laid back and usually openly gives out advice when people ask for it.

mykeverin - i could read this guys posts all day. Its a rare thing when i actually look forward to a certain cag posting their thoughts on something like i do with myke.

The first member that came to mind was CheapyD for obvious reasons, but then I noticed he was mentioned many times already. So I have a couple of backups:

Shrike - for policing the boards and helping make the forums run smoothly
Javeryh - for having Lionel Hutz as an avatar and for making the day go by a little faster with his toilet threads.

I have the utmost respect for CAG: CheapyD. Without his efforts none of the many posts & sweet deals would have been known to the masses. He is as important as Henry Ford was to the invention of the automobile. My hats off to you good sir.
Damn, I wish my name could have gotten mentioned, even if it was to say I was the worst.
CocheseUGA is just annoying. He goes into all the threads where they ask for the "favorite", "best", "worst", or "people who make CAG CAG" threads and fishes for compliments. ;)

Nah, I'm kidding. He's worse than that. ;)

No, not really. :D

Thanks...I needed that. :D
