Poiuiu, what do you mean? I don't want to miss out on these recent Final Fantasy games.
SE is refunding credit to stores for any unsold FFX|V copies from 2010(?) so they can turn around and sell Realm Reborn specific copies of the game, rather than lose profit by selling current 10/20 dollar copies of the game (to cheapasses like us) and downloading the entire reboot afterwards for free.
Anyone see Final Fantasy XIV at their source? I'd appreciate it if someone can help me grab one.
I took a road trip out to Kelowna, and kept my eyes open for you. But I found none in any of the Source's I wandered into.

Thanks for trying, I appreciate it. :)

Wow! Great price on KZ3! I'd be all over that if I hadn't already picked it up from RCSS some time ago at the then deal price of $10.

I will be creating a list of the games on clearance, to try to keep a master list of games. Right now, heres a few on clearance:

DS - Legend of zelda spirit tracks 9.96
DS - Dragon quest VI 9.96
DS - Dragon quest IX 9.96
xbox 360 - splinter cell Conviction: collectors edition - 9.96
Xbox 360 - Dungeon siege 3 4.96
Xbox 360 - def jam rapstar .96
xbox 360 - Alan wake french collectors edition 4.96

Ill add more to the list soon.

The Source at Dartmouth Crossing can blow it out their ass. I asked the clerk to save the last DQIX for me, and when i got there the MANAGER had bought it for herself.

Scummy, but this is why you never phone. Chances are the clerk would never have known it was even clearance.

Yeah, I don't trust them. When I call, I only ask if it's in stock and for them to hold. Then when I go to pick it up, they're surprised by the price. I think I broke a clerk's heart in Nova Scotia when I picked up the only copy of Pixel Junk Monsters Deluxe (PSP) for 99cents.

Anyway, I picked up Dragon Quest VI today, I saw Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs as well, but I didn't have enough dough on me. I might pick it up tomorrow. I looked it up and it seems to be well worth $10, but can anyone here tell me about it?

I picked up DQ VI and IX today (had to go two different locations, as Victoria Sources have not the greatest stock levels even when games are new).
When i was getting VI the clerk helping me was talking about games and mentioned Dishonored, grabbed the last copy off the shelf and put it under the counter so he could buy it at the end of shift and no one else could get it before him. So hearing your experience is not surprising, and I'm sorry to hear it happened to you.

That does suck, but... I mean, let's be honest; If I was in that position, working retail, learn some game I want is on sale, I'd probably do the same thing, and scoop it up before the consumer makes it in.

Plus, this is the same website where the users complain about RFD kids. How do they distinguish between you, a CAG kid, who we assume will actually play the game, and a stockpiling RFD kid?

I've never understood why someone would alert store staff to a deal by getting them to "hold it". I mean, if they weren't already aware, you just opened the door.
If you can find this game, GRAB IT! It's great!
HECK YEA! Played the crud out of it trying to perfect all the puzzles. Well worth it at that price!

For all those who are deciding to openly mock me, please be informed that the clerk there is my friend. Unfortunately the the manager makes the final decision, and took my game out of the holds drawer for herself. So before you decide to mock someone be sure you know the facts :)

Most people gave you advice and/or sympathized with you. Even if we were mocking you, we'd mock you based on what you said in that post, we wouldn't politely ask you to further explain the situation beforehand.

Also, that manager sounds like an epic bitch. Also, your friend (the clerk) should have called you and informed you that the manager had bought the game. He made you waste your time and resources in travel.

I was in transit while it happened though, and I don't have a cell. Anyway, sorry for the scarcasm.

The recent round of price drops has lots of systems on sale. Checked through over 200 links for updates. Some games dropped $5.00 off, a lot of games now at $9.96. Lots of accessories(like cases) dropped but don't have the time to post everything now. Thanks to Abaddon(Rfd) for the links. Posted what I thought where hot deals and worth getting up on a Saturday morning for, so good luck everyone. Very Ymmv

Was able to pick up last copy of Dragon Quest IX in Belleville thanks to your post. Great job!

Thanks for the post dvdswapper. I might try for a PSP Go, although the chances of getting it probably aren't that great anywhere near Toronto.

From your list, I managed to grab:
Alan Wake (360) ~ $9.96
Fracture (360) ~ $9.96
Warhammer 40K Space Marine (360) ~ $14.96
SOCOM 4 (PS3) ~ $9.96
Sin & Punishment 2: Star Successor (Wii) ~ $14.96
Additionally, I picked up:
Mirror's Edge (360) ~ $9.96
White Knight Chronicles (PS3) ~ $4.96

Apparently I missed out on the ODST bundle, someone grabbed the last one at the store a day prior. =( If anyone has a tip on that, anywhere in the GTA, PLEASE SHARE. Oh, and remember how we were talking about how the clerks? The first game on my list was LBP2, there was one copy, and the clerk put it aside for himself. =/ RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. ='(

I also noticed a few other games cheap-ish:
Duke Nukem Forever (360) ~ $9.96
HAWX 2 (360) ~ $9.96
L.A. Noir (360) ~ $9.96
Medal of Honour (360) ~ $4.96
Tomb Raider: Underworld ~ $9.96

dvdswapper- how are you finding those deals on the site? Like none of those games come up in the browse function. Are you just searching individual titles? Bravo for all the work if thats the case.

I'll be picking up a psp go tomorrow, i was smart enough to call ahead and have them put it aside without alerting them to the price. I got the clerk to write my name in ballpoint pen on the box. They think it's still $169. :D

I tried to pick up a PSP for my brother, but it was on hold for "Ryan". I've encountered clearance stuff on hold twice now, and while I commend the employees for their niceness, I wish there was a more unified approach. I'm afraid to call about stuff for fear of employees buying it.

Picked up my Pearl White PSP Go for $50, and an official Sony Lake Blue leather Travellers Case and charging cradle for $2 each. Sadly no compatible memory sticks to be found.

Just a heads up, there's a white PSP go at the mission location of the Source in Kelowna. There's one left, I was going to go get it but I'd prefer a 3000 if I ever got one, and I just bought a 3DS sooo..

I've always liked the Go. I had one for a while and loved it. I plan to get a Vita around Christmas or the new year, so I'm passing on this, but for anyone on the fence, the Go is a great little system.

So tempted to get a GO.

If I have a PSP 3000 with the latest official Sony firmware, can I rip UMDs to a PSP GO with it's custom firmware (for emulators and running UMD ISOs)?

My quick google/youtube searches only comes up with ripping ISOs with a PSP 1000/2000/3000 with custom firmware..nothing about the GO.

According to the website I have one white and one black and two different stores, opposite directions. Of course I'd call first (learned my lesson the hard way).

The Go doesn't have a UMD slot, so no. You need an older PSP to export your library. You can of course run your games though, it works normally like that.

Obviously Ragnar didn't read your whole post. As I said before, if you use the 6.60 PRO firmware on both your GO and your UMD capable system, you can rip the UMDS onto your memory stick, and then transfer them over to your GO. You can ONLY play them on the GO if the 6.60 PRO firmware is active however, otherwise they won't even show up. Also, no ripping/downloading games you don't actually own. Stealing games is for asshats.

I sorta thought I said exactly that, seeing as I quoted a line asking about usage with custom firmware.
Also, no ripping/downloading games you don't actually own. Stealing games is for asshats.
Yeah, this is fair use of games you own. And actually you can use Iso Tool to export your collection without even needing custom firmware ;)

Thanks for the info...so a GO would be useless to me, becuase my PSP 3000 is already updated to whatever the latest official firmware is. As I thought, I wouldn't be able to rip my UMDs.

I have 80+ UMDs that I barely touch since I got my Vita....was hoping a GO would make me want to play them more.

Dude, 6.60 IS the latest firmware, just google the install instructions for 6.60 PRO. It takes less than 3 mins to install. The Go isn't useless to you by far.

I'm blown away by how easy it now is to install CFW on every PSP. Back when I got my PSP-2000, you needed a pandora battery and it was still a long process. Now you just put a file on your memory card and start the flashing process by pressing X, the PSP starts it just like a game.

Also you can go back and forth from OFW (6.60) to CFW (6.60 PRO) easily. It's been so easy ever since they've discovered the signed keys. You literally lose nothing by installing CFW.

Was always tempted by a PSPgo...and I have so many PSN games too! Keep the 300 for UMDs and the go for DL games maybe?

come on internet, help me waste my money :D

Welp....then I guess I gotta get a white GO. Or Black if the website lies. Or nothing if it really lies. I'll phone early ASAP tomorrow, and see what I can do.....news keeps saying how gas is going down tomorrow too, so I can fill up.

Ya I didn't know it was this easy.

Now...one final question maybe it'll be answered before I get mine tomorrow....can you play PSP games full screen one a TV using a dual shock 3?

I have component cables for my PSP 3000 (or 2000), but it only plays in like 2/3 of the screen (if that).

You snooze you lose when it comes to cheap ass gaming. White one sold this morning. I should have jumped on this on SUnday when I found out about it, I was less than 10 minutes away from a store that still has 2 that afternoon, but today I phoned & they're reserved for someone else. The other store with a black one is saying it's resrved for somone.

Oh well....hopefully they weren't sold to hoarders who are gonna flip em. Now I'll have to focus on Forza Horizon and Silent Hill Book of Memories.
