http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tru5o251hz.jpg

Immense gratitude to Shrike4242 for updating this thing while I was away!!!

This is an odd one.....

Basically the gist is that Toys R Us is reducing its inventory by 20% by marking down over 6,000 skns from it's inventory, most of which are toys. There are however roughly 300 or so video games/accesories that will be a part of this clearance. As of 7/11 all have been marked down from 30-50%. TRU is seeking to aggressively move these skns out of its stores. So if these games have not sold in roughly a months time they will be marked down again...a month later, again.....and so on until it's gone. So if you're the gamblin' type I suppose you could hold out for cheaper prices. Prices seem to be good everywhere, though there may be some variance in prices between stores.

Everything that is a part of this sale is on a 3 week cycle, meaning that every three weeks any items remaining in the stores will receive another price drop. Seeing as how these prices went into effect on the 11th of July we should be seeing them all drop again on the 1st of August.

The only caveat here being that retail is an odd beast that can be subject to change. So basically there is another price drop coming that in all likelihood will happen on the 1st so check back on the than to see what's up.

*****CONDENSED VERSION FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE NOT SO GOOD WITH THE READING*****

a.) TRU marked down a shiton of inventory.

b.) Inventory will continue to be marked down if they do not sell.

c.) Prices may vary between store.

Picked up Eye Toy Antigrav for $9.98.

Saw Enthusia for $9.98 and Hard Hitter Tennis for $4.98 but didn't pick up. Are they good?

Hope to ranshack other TRU's in the coming weeks for Suikoden IV and Tactics.

Finally found the Castlevania Double pack after my third TRU. Also picked up a $4.98 Gulty gear for Xbox.

Final Fantasy Tactics GBA was on sale for $4.98. Also saw some camouflage Xbox 360 face plates on clearance for $4.98.

Trackmania Sunrise (PC) $9.98

Xbox Live 12 month Starter Kit (original) $19.98

Picked up Meteos today and it's up for trade. Still in need of Suikoden IV , Midway Arcade PSP and Soul Calibur III if anyone wants to trade.
Puyo Pop Fever is worth the $10 if it sounds at all interesting.
Puyo Pop Fever is a great game. It's very fun and addictive. Most fun I've had with a puzzle game on the DS, with the exception of the brilliant Tetris DS, and is well worth $10.
There are only two problems with it:
1. This game is cutsy. Very, very cutsy. It's saccarine sweet.
2. I suck at it. I sucked back when it was Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, and I suck at it now. Add this to tough opponents, and it makes it very challenging.

This is what I get for not looking at CAG in awhile. I was just at the mall Saturday. Going to go see if I can pick up Suikoden Tactics after work. Thanks!

I can say I cleaned out the Paramus NJ (Rt 4 East) TRU of XBox Live Year subscriptions. I took the last two on my lunch break.

Side note - North Bergen, NJ (Kennedy Blvd @ 495) had no old XBox live cards, and very little clearance items.
The only game I got from TRU was Puyo Pop Fever as well. I haven't played it yet, but I hope it's good!
It's widely been considered one of the best puzzle games of all time, for many years now. It's not as groundbreaking as Meteos or Lumines, but that's to be expected from a game released during the SNES/Genesis era, and many games have been released since then that borrow (or in some cases, rip off) the formula, so it might feel pretty familiar, evenif you haven't played it in one of it's previous incarnations (Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine [Genesis and Sonic Mega Collection] and Kirby's Avalanche (SNES). Also DO NOT PICK UP MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES PSP UNTIL YOU READ GAMESPOT'S REVIEW.

On the tip of Puzzle games - Ultimate Block Party $14.99 PSP (In stock Paramus NJ, not in North Bergen), is quite possibly one of the best that I've played in a long while. It combines the mechanics of Puyo with Tetris Attack/Pokemon Puzzle League, and throws in a little twist of its own. If you see this and are a puzzle game fan, it's a must own, stiff competition for Lumines as best PSP Puzzler.
Also DO NOT PICK UP MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES PSP UNTIL YOU READ GAMESPOT'S REVIEW.
They apparently didn't know the trick to get the games to run in the correct aspect ratio-- put a game in pause, hold down L and press the square button, and the games will cycle through available aspect ratios. It was DUUUMB to hide it since the games do truly look horrible stretched but the option IS there. (it's not even in the manual -- they deserve to be knocked for not telling anyone!)

While the emulations aren't spot on, they are good enough to play, and I don't think it deserves to be thrown to the wolves as bad as Gamespot does. Notice reader reviews are rated 7.2, which is pretty accurate. There are enough glitches it doesn't quite deserve an 8 (C'mon, all the Atari System 1 games are running an octave too low!) but if you have a PSP and don't want to deal with emulators/etc, it's a pretty decent compilation, especially for $14.98.
Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 (Greatest Hits version) was $9.98 at my TRU. I would've picked it up but it was the "uncorrected" version.
What do you mean "uncorrected"?

Man, tricky to find stuff that I wanted when the local TRU's around me had slightly different stuff marked down!

Picked up F-Zero GP Legend for GBA (4.98) and an Action Replay device for Gamecube (9.98).
Not as much as stuff from other sales, but quite happy with my finds!

any key titles at those locations?
any key titles at those locations?
North Bergen NJ- Meh at best, lots of accessories very little game wise
Paramus NJ - Lots of the 4.98 titles, but nothing too quality

thanks for the quick reply...i basically found what i wanted (for the moment) at the nanuet store...but was contemplating going to check those 2 in jersey

Don't bother going to those stores in NJ...unless you want 100 copies of Psychonauts :) Seriously, every store I've been to in NJ has tons of Psychonauts. I'm waiting until that dips below $10 before I buy it.

Just go buy it now. You won't want to miss out on such a great game.

White Plains has a few more Fire Emblems(GBA), Psychonauts, FFXI w/ HDD, Guilty Gear, and a couple other games. I got the last Suikoden Tactics and called it a day.

Thanks to the OP, I finally decided to drop into my TRU for the sole purpose of picking up Fire Emblem Sacred Stones (which I did get) and to check their inventory for future drops. I really want DK Jungle Beat, but I'm not paying 40 bucks for it... needed to see how many copies they had. Looks like they have enough that I can wait it out for the next round of price drops before I pick it up.

Well, I haven't worked over the weekend, but it's clear my store was picked through(Merriville, IN). I still have 2 copies of Suikoden Tactics on hold if anyone is interested. Still looking for DS Lunar Dragon Song, GC MGS:TS, and GC MM: X Collection from the list.

Thanks, picked up Castlevania Double Pack, was the last one I saw at the Culver City, CA Target. After playing Dawn of Sorrow I wouldn't mind playing another Metroidvania.
to update the list.

The xbox LCD screen is a Intec Xbox 7.2" for $39.98
Is this screen any good? I picked one up to hold until the price drops or return if it really sucks.

I'm waiting for that very game as well. :)

Puyo Pop Fever kicks my ass, and I used to be friggen Obi Wan Kenobi at Tetris Attack and Wario's Woods back in the day. Fun though. Only game where my reaction to the cry "GALAXY MEOW" is "OH SHI". Should supplement the collection of any puzzle game fan. Which is to say, you like Meteos (Well, if you don't like Meteos, you don't like life.)? You like Tetris Attack/Puzzle League (Err... same with the not liking Meteos.)? Give this one a shot, you will NOT be disappointed.

I got Geist for $20 because I bought it at the wrong time, but it is fun enough to merit a purchase here if you see it. It LOOKS like an N64 game, and the gameplay reeks of untapped potential, but it is good quality for a Cube FPS.

I ran by a few TRU's yesterday, and it looks like Darkwatch for PS2 has been dropped again. The signs they had up listed the price as 19.98, but they were all tagged at 9.98. I'm going to go and pick one up on my lunch break today, so I can confirm this in about 3 hours.

Wha'ts up!

if anyone could get me a copy of HALO 2 :CE i'd gladly reimburse you +shipping + a little $$$ for your trouble??
or trade somthing for it.

send me a message if anyone has one. thx

Alright, bought 3 Suikoden Tactics(all claimed for) last night after work, but was able to find 3 more to put on hold. Anyone interested please PM me.

Well, I went out and bought Darkwatch at lunch, and I did get it for 9.98, but apparently they had the SKU's for Full Spectrum Warrior on them. So mark this price as an extreme YMMV.

My local TRU also had about 4 copies of Suikoden Tactics. (not to step on Snowball's toes) And plenty of Final Fantasy X ($10).

Anyone looking, just say the word.
