FullBlast - $5.99

Pixel Slime U - $2.99

Runbow - $14.99

Sin & Punishment - N64 - $11.99

Sin & Punishment 2 - Wii - $19.99

I like that they really didn't want to put the full name of the Sin & Punishment sequel as its title.

Next week, Gunman Clive HD Collection is out for Wii U with both games in one package.

S&P2 for $20 is kind of a joke given how aggressively it was cleared out at various stores years back at sub-$10 prices.

I enjoyed S&P1 but certainly not enough to want to revisit it. S&P2 is certainly worth a revisit except it is a shooter that lasts longer than most action games. They have/had leaderboards for full runs but I can't imagine the sort of nutjob who would WANT to do that game in one sitting. A single level tends to be longer and have more bosses than the average Japanese shooter these days.

It's not like it needs a lot of space to house the soundtrack. More details from the press release:

Launching alongside the standalone version of massive Wii U role-playing gameXenoblade Chronicles X on Dec. 4 is a Special Edition overflowing with great content. Perfect for fans who want to experience everything Xenoblade Chronicles X has to offer, players who purchase the Special Edition at a suggested retail price of $89.99 will get a beautifully designed package that contains:
  • The Xenoblade Chronicles X game
  • A gorgeous book of concept art with more than 100 pages, featuring select art for the very first time
  • A unique USB drive modeled after the game’s “Lifehold Unit,” pre-loaded with a selection of 10 music tracks from the game’s memorable soundtrack
  • A limited-edition matted 5x7 art card of a painting done for the game by illustrator Takashi Kojo
Unique to North America, this Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition is now available for pre-order at select retailers nationwide.
Amazon seems to already have a page up for it: http://www.amazon.com/Xenoblade-Chronicles-X-Special-Wii-U/dp/B014LNTVGK/

I just think that it's funny that the drives in stuff like this or that are marketed to us with licensed brands are so pitifully small that none of us would ever have much use for them.

I've got two new Wii U eShop Previews for Super Destronaut and Stone Shire:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYOjYlP1lpI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GH5n2Xoxk2E

That Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition would be tempting if it included a download code for the original, which I assume will be up on the eShop by then.

I finally purchased a Wii U and going in cold turkey since I never owned a Wii (my last Nintendo console was a Gamecube). I'm eager to set it up and start playing (especially Super Mario Maker).

Can someone provide a link that has FAQ kind of stuff?  I want to shop on the Virtual Console but I see there are Wii versions and Wii U versions of games and want to make sure I get content that will work properly on my system.  Details on how adding extra storage page would be welcomed too.

So Xbox has deals on Monday, and Playstation has deals on Tuesday. On what day of the week does Nintendo have sales?

Anything on the Wii U eShop is playable in Wii U mode. You have to go into Wii Mode into to get Wii-only titles. However, note that Wii games bought in the Wii U shop require their original controllers, so if you wanna play Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime you will need a Wii premenstrual and nunchuk.

The typical sale day is Thursday, but developers are free to have sales whenever they want, so you sometimes see deals on any random day.

As for storage space, you need a separate hard drive either with an AC Adapter, or a USB Y-cable. The Wii U cannot power a hard drive with a single USB cable.

From what I can tell you use the word premenstrual more often than the word controller when typing on your phone. My condolences.

The only things on the eShop are Wii U games, so you don't have to worry about anything unless you want games that aren't on the eShop.

Deals are typically on Monday and Thursday, though they can happen any day of the week when the developer/publisher wishes to have them.

Here is the new deal for today:

Year Walk is out on Thursday for $6.99.

Neat. Paid or free, I wonder.

Free???

You smoking that good stuff. This is a perfect way to incorporate the creativity of Mario Maker and the application of Smash. These Nintendo guys are going to sell a couple million copies of Mario maker. And about 70% of the current owners of Smash will buy Mario Maker/Smash. I'll buy it as an add-on to my copy of Mario maker for sure.

So, I have a Toshiba 250GB I pulled out of a PS3 I have just laying about. Worth it to pick up a $10 enclosure and the Y-cable I have on hand to hook it up, or should I be looking for a larger external?

I am plum out of space on my Deluxe.

Hmm. I suppose only you know how much stuff you're going to buy and download. On the other hand, I have quite a lot of stuff downloaded, and I'm not sure how many GB I've used. I just haven't cared enough to check. Maybe I haven't even used 250GB, and I am one of those people who just downloads everything.

That should be more than enough unless you plan to buy the entire eShop.

Thanks for the heads up about Plague of Shadows. I'd never heard that it was a thing. I just played it for an hour. It's a fun expansion!

What is this y cable you speak of?

Good job on Mario Maker, btw. I've played some of your levels and didn't see the Konami code one. Do you have the ID for that?

I didn't make the Konami code one. A guy named White Fox did. I got it from GameXplain. The ID is 8C75-0000-001E-B390

Thanks for the heads up! Looking like $2 for the Zelda Pirate Ship Stage and $2.50 for Mario Maker. Will snatch them up (not worried about costumes).

Are there any Virtual Console deals anymore? Been wanting to pick up SMB3 but thought I'd wait and see if there was a deal.

Freedom Planet was a pretty fun Sonic clone from what I played during the Nindies thing. Looks like it was released awhile ago on PC, but there doesn't look to be a lot of review for it. At least I have a full month to decide before the discount expires.
