Wild ARMs 5 for 33.99 at Deep Discount

I just noticed that Deep Discount has Wild ARMs 5 up for 33.99. I've never ordered a game from them and I think I remember some sort of problem concerning Twilight Princcess a while back (That may have been due to a price error or maybe it was before the changed over from Deep Discount DVD to just plain ol' Deep Disocunt though)....

The other question I had was regarding the 80 Page Artbook that its supposed to come with. I've only read about it on RPGFan and Amazon and Game Stop have no information regarding it. So I'm not sure if its packaged with the game like Persona 3, or if its a preorder bonus from other retailers.

Its a dang good price for the game at Deep Discount, but I'm a sucker for artbooks (especially if its true that it covers all 5 games in the series).

Anyone else have anything to add about the artbook, or maybe even just Deep Discount and their handling of games and/or preorders in general?

I e-mailed xseed when I first started hearing rumors about the art book and I was told that every launch copy will have an art book included and that they had no plans of releasing the game without the art book (i.e. there will not be two editions of the game).

I shouldnt have bought this, then. I thought the art book was exclusive for first shipment.
Now it's just another game that I could've borrowed....or something...for free easily.

I think the art book is fantastic. The art is beautiful, there's a wide variety of styles and artists, and most of it is full-page art. There are also profiles and art of all the playable characters (plus a few more) from the entire series.
 
Any pics of the package? My order shipped today and I won't get to see it for a long time as it'll be arriving at home and I'll be away at college.
 
The main problem I have with the artbook is that its nothing original its ok as an extra but not worth it if you were going to buy the game just to get it. The game itself is quite good although the outdoors areas seem a bit blurry. The extra costumes in it are excellent I just started playing it today since max codes to unlock them were broken till now. Playing as wa2 knight blazer is amazing fun.

Mine shipped late from DD, but I still got a first print run. The box is gorgeous, the cover art for the game case wraps around nicely and doesn't have any print occluding the image on the back, and the art book is pretty sweet too. For $34 shipped, an *awesome* deal.

DD apparently ran out of stock and would resume shipping on 9/22. Not sure if it will still be the first printing /w artbook though :whistle2:k
 
Mine shipped on 30 August but has not been received. :(

DD said wait unti the 20th and if has not arrived they will send a replacement...

Knowing Xseed and Wild Arms cult status, there won't be a second shipment so the artbook and special art box are really exclusive.
 
I believe you will get the art book. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that XSeed had no plans of releasing a version of the game without the art book. Whether that's true or not has yet to be seen, but I'm fairly certain that if you buy a copy of the game right now it will come with the art book.
 
DeepDiscount ran out of WA5 for a while already. It's scheduled to be in stock next week. It would be interesting to see if the next shipment will have art book. I want to be sure before even considering placing an order.
 
You might wanna do it in store because from what I gathered initially, the art book was only for the initial shipment. So stores that are getting newer shipments might not have it.

Of course, Xseed could've just lied about the whole thing.
 
If the next shipment does come like the release copies I want to snag an insert seeing the original release one has no markings on the spine and it would be nice to see it say WA5 on there so on my shelf it is not WA 3,4, partial artwork lol...
