Thanks for the free game info. Was getting tired of the free Assassin's Creed, the controls suck.
Free Assassin's Creed? Am I missing something?

Yeah you missed it. It was a glitch thing, with Earthworm Jim, it's long gone now.
Free Assassin's Creed? Am I missing something?
There was some kind of glitch maybe a couple months back (EastX texted me about it) where the game was free. As far as I know, it is not free at this time.

Monster Burner isn't too bad. The menus are really janky and slow (on WP7 anyway) but the actual gameplay is pretty smooth. The cost for upgrades really shoot up quick, and I assume the coin collection rate doesn't increase nearly as quickly, so they really push In-App purchases (which is fair). The game is 100% playable without any IAP's and I can't complain at all since it's free. I'll play through the full game and get all the achievements I can.

I'm having a lot of fun with Monster Burner. It doesn't feel nearly as scammy as Bug Village, and the gameplay is a lot of fun in short bursts. Plus I already got 40 achievement points out of it.

Xbox red stripe deal is Sally's Salon for $0.99. Pretty decent buy of you don't already have it. More interesting to me is Spectral Souls for half off at $5.99. Anyone have thoughts on this? I read the review on wpcentral a while back but a couple of things keep me from buying it. Mainly the steep price, but also the lack of true touch controls and the inability to save mid battle. Haven't ever played FF tactics but I have played Fire Emblem and to my understanding this is the same thing. Wish there was a trial. Anyone here have it?

Wish it was Sally's Spa. I already bought this a long time ago.

Since the DotW has been back, I actually haven't bought one game from it yet.

Wow, so I think my Ice Age Village is completely borked. I finally made it to a 5-star village, but instead of that achievement popping, it popped the achievement for the Not Extinct collection, which I don't have. Even worse, it's like it is constantly popping that achievement. You know the in-game window that pops up when you get an achievement? I have about 100 of those constantly popping up over each other. It makes my game run in slow motion and it crashes after about 30 seconds. I tried to submit the bug in game but I can't get through the process before it crashes. Anyone else heard of this? I'm hoping it gets fixed when (if) they release the fix for the social stuff. If not I guess I'm done with the game at 98G.

^Wow, that's weird. I'd say the game is worth $1, but hopefully if you pay for it, the upgrades come along much quicker.

Also, I believe I read somewhere that Shoot1Up is working for WP8 now.
Angry Birds Rio is out now for $0.99

It's really fun and the achievements are much easier lol...

At least I'll have a shit ton of $1 Angry Birds games to buy when I finally upgrade to WP8.
Are Risk, Game of Life and Parking Mania newly non Nokia exclusive?

First time I've noticed them appearing in the marketplace on my Focus.
Risk has been around, but I believe Life and Parking Mania are new. Although when I click on them on my phone, they say "This app is not available for your device".

It's pretty fluid on WP8. I upgraded the multiple rebound but it doesn't seem to work. So I guess focus on fireball size first.
anyone else not able to connect to Live while playing Rio?
Yeah, it's weird. I'm not getting achievement pop ups but the achievements still appear on my gamercard.

The game isn't even showing on my gamercard

Did you get any achievements? I noticed that with the Angry Birds games on WP8 that you need to get an achievement for the game to show up on your gamercard or to update and jump to the top of your games list.

Edit: Yup, I just double checked Xbox.com and the game is on my list.

Red Stripe Deals are live:
Super Monkey Ball 2: $0.99
glƏƏk!: $0.99
Hockey Nations PP: $1.99

Probably will get SMB2, the first one wasn't bad for $1.

Awesome, all over SMB2. Like you, I somewhat enjoyed the first one, even though it got shit on pretty badly by most.

SMB2....might give this one a go for a dollar. I think it has multiplayer too?

Angry Birds Rio for a dollar may be mine as well. Shoot, I own all the other angry birds.

I am getting more excited for next Tuesday and have high hopes they drop the curtains and show off the next xbox and all the little details that may include WP and W8. :bouncy:
While quickly reading through the Monster Burner review, I noticed 2 typos.
That's still fewer than the number of typos in the game itself. :p

I'm quickly tiring of Monster Burner. Even using the date trick to get more coins, progress is ridiculously slow. Guess I just don't have patience to sit and play through the same levels throwing things at other things. Probably why I was never an Angry Birds fan.
MetalMegaGio, sounds like you need to reinstall the game. That shouldn't be happening.

!!!
Thanks! It worked and now whenever I complete levels it gives me the coins.

Ditto. I'm glad I got it for free.
Trivial Pursuit and Spy Mouse now available to all phones for $2.99 each.

NBA Jam, Tiger Woods, Mass Effect, and a Racing game are all now Nokia exclusives.

No other XBox Live release this week.
Holy awesome! Well, so much for never spending more than $5 on a mobile game. As a huge Mass Effect fan (just finished my 7th playthrough of the first game), I have to have it. The others look pretty good too. What a week! That is assuming you have the right combination of OS and handset manufacturer.
I think Puzzle Quest 2 is going to be Red Stripe Deal, don't know about the price yet, the store is still showing $6.99.

http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/s...pe-deals/db534788-8a1a-4f31-9a1d-bd9bdeddc467
Yep, it's showing as $2.99 for me. Great price for that game. I got it for $5 and don't regret it. Just be aware that it has never been updated, meaning it won't run in the background. If you lock your phone mid battle it will reset the game when you return, forcing you to start at the last save point. At least that's how it worked the last time I played it. This may be a deal breaker for some, as the later battles can get long.

Edit: Just downloaded the game on my L920 and can confirm this is still the way it works. No running under lock screen, no fast app switching mid battle.
You guys talk too much! Somebody buy PQ. Other than the crappy lack of Fast App Switching, it's pretty good.
im enjoying PQ2 a lot. I had Pq1 for xbla, so the new format with the questing and sidequests is very appealing for a big rpg fan. def worth the 3$, been waiting for it to drop forEVER

Rayman Jungle Run coming to WP8 today!
I see there is an update available for Ice Age Village. Any idea if it fixes the social features or the broken achievement?
It does fix the broken Achievement and Facebook integration. Gameloft Live integration remains broken. Story coming up later today.
