Is the option to "share" apps/games in the marketplace to "Xbox" something new? It starts up Smartglass, but I can't use an Xbox at the moment to see what it does. Google did not help.

It's not new, but I've never had it bring up SmartGlass. Usually, it gives you the option to choose e-mail or text messaging so you can send someone a link to the marketplace.

Thanks Paul.  Considering Brain Challenge for $1.  I never considered it at anything above that price, but now that it's $1 I'll at least check out the trial.

I tried to share to the Xbox today, but it didn't do anything.

Thanks for the Brain Challenge warning. 5 broken achievements are too many for me.

Thanks for the post about Tetris Blast east X, also should be getting the ATIV-S I ordered from Expansys tomorrow, as posted on WP Central.

iBlast Moki is the Red Stripe Deal of the Week

Three classic Gameloft games on sale

Bob, I've never noticed that option before. Maybe it is kinda new, I dunno.
Thanks for the heads up. I grabbed Moki yesterday. it's kinda meh, but it's only a buck.

I'll probably grab AC, just to have something different on my phone. I am considering Uno for the easy cheevos, but I am still traumatized from all the time spent finishing Uno & Friends. Maybe it's too soon to play more Uno.

I am sure most here are aware of all the delisted WP games.

http://www.trueachievements.com/n14823/heap-of-windows-phone-titles-delisted.htm

Here's a quick list:

Beards & Beaks (WP)
Bug Village (WP)
Chickens Can't Fly (WP)
Contract Killer (WP)
Extraction: Project Outbreak (WP)
Gun Bros (WP)
KenKen (WP)
Monster Burner (WP)
Tentacles (WP)
Turn N Run (WP)
Zombies!!! (WP)

It's a shame. I've been putting off picking Beards & Beaks as well as Chicken's Can't Fly. :(

Fear not! Chickens Can't Fly (which you shoulda bought already, it's only a dollar) will be back. Lots of details in our article:

Numerous Xbox WP7 games delisted over In-App Purchase issues

With limited MSPs these days, I tend to grab stuff on sale instead of stuff that's permanently $1, since -I in theory- you can grab the $1 title anytime. Obviously, this is not true as illustrated by the above.

And some people wonder why developers are hesitant to invest in the WP platform. With crappy policies like these, Microsoft is sure to drive them away.

I decided to order my first Windows phone the other day. It's a HTC 8X. Should be interesting considering I've been on Android for years. Looks like there's some good games here at decent prices.

Incase why anyone's wondering, my Droid Charge is having serious issues and I found the 8X at a pretty good price. I love the look of it too.

welcome to the WP community... As an android user myself it was had to make the change to a WP. I tried with a WP7 and hated it but recently I got a WP8 and I love it.. Stick with it it takes some getting used to

Agreed,  coming from another phone os,  the windows interface takes some time to get use, but i find i can not go back to android because of the non standardize platform.  If the only thing i find i miss is a working app to view ultraviolet movies on the phone.

So I thought I'd share a little story about my Lumia 920 (which I only got a couple weeks ago) from earlier today.

I was at school, using the bathroom facilities for a number 2, as I occasionally do, and wrapping up my business. I had just put my 920 in my shirt pocket to bend over and flush when disaster struck.

Yes, the phone jumped out of my pocket and fell into bowl of filthy water and last night's turkey sandwiches.

Putting aside my disgust and dignity, I quickly plunged my hand into the surprisingly cold water to pull out the phone, which was completely submerged for at least 5 seconds.

Expecting to be out at least another $100 for a replacement, I looked at the screen fully aware that it would probably be dead. Instead it lit up as bright as ever. The screen wouldn't quite recognize my touches for a few moments, but when I turned it off and back on again, it worked just fine. It's been a good 12 hours now, the phone is charging and everything is good as new. I haven't even had to put it in rice. And it really only smelled like poop for a few minutes.

So anyway, kudos to Nokia for putting out a phone that can apparently survive a plunge into the crapper.

I haven't even had to put it in rice.
I have no idea if you literally meant that or if it's a typo. Either way, it's pretty funny.

I am glad your phone is still functioning. I am curious to find out how you cleaned it though. Clorox wipes or did you toss it in the washing machine (since it's a hardy phone and all) :).

I bought Parking Mania the week it came out for $2.99 and don't regret doing so. It starts out pretty fun, but the later levels seem to require surgical precision to complete. I feel like I'm playing Operation trying to navigate those narrow pathways with the cars. Worth the $0.99 price tag.

Warning if you try the demo: Delete the demo after trying it and before buying since it messes up your stats and achievements and the only fix is to reinstall.

Sorry to hear about all that happened to you Tyler. I don't blame you one bit for switching phones. Enjoy your Android.

Can you use money in your Microsoft Account to purchase games on the phone?

EDIT: Yes. Have a few games I want to pick up now.

I wiped it down with antibacterial soap and clean water afterwards.
Aw, dude, that's the worst thing I've ever heard. I don't know if I'm astonished at your bravery or disgusted by your decision. Either way, way cool that it still works! But every time you hold the phone up to call someone, don't you fear that you're going to smell turd?

The wallet "app" is very convenient!  I love having that MS credit and other payment options in a convenient place to manage like that.  I covers Xbox Live, online purchases, Microsoft online store purchases and, finally, your Windows phone purchases (and most likely W8 Tablets and so on, but I don't have one....yet).  And don't forget to keep searching via Bing to get points.  It's very easy to build up enough points to get a dollar in credit, so these .99 cent sale games get paid for easily.

sorry about that. For some reason I wasn't able to type on CAG on my phone. Since my computer is a pos I usually only check CAG on my phone. Seems I fixed it though. But I wanted to thank you for the Sims guide. It has helped a lot. I unfortunately have had 2 achievements not unlock. The Skaters Pad and the 3 babies. I know I wasn't connected during the baby one, not sure about Skater Dreampad. I'm hoping if I bring in a fourth baby that it will unlock.

Ah ha! Man, that sucks about not getting the Achievement credit. At least those two are relatively early Achievements and you could get try for them again with a fresh installation down the line.

Here's a tip I haven't added to the Sims FreePlay Achievement guides yet. You can add as many extra Sims as you want to your town for free! The game says it costs 4-5 Life Points to add new Sims, but due to a glitch the Life Points don't get subtracted. So as long as you have the houses for it, you can get all the way up to the max of 31 Sims wayyy early in the game. Be sure to invite as many people as possible (usually 4) to live in each house in order to make room. With those extra Sims, earning money and XP will go much faster.

Hope that helps. :)

Really enjoying parking cars. Never thought speeding through turns to park a car would be so much fun. :)
Wait until you get to the later stages where you have to drive a car down a super thin road that makes Lombard Street seem like a drag strip.

After playing this game for months I still can't figure out how to back a trailer into a parking space!!! Argh!!!!

It looks like those 3 Gameloft games, that got were unofficially on sale a couple of weeks ago, have now been delisted. Those would be UNO, Assassin's Creed and Brain Challenge.

I guess I should be glad I grabbed Assassin's Creed.

Wow, at least they put them on sale first. I asked Gameloft about it but my main contact is out of town so not sure how long it will be till they provide a response.
