Check the dates on the reviews. It was really broken a few months back, delisted, "fixed", then relisted on sale. Works fine on 1020.

Ha! Still haven't even booted up '14. I held on to it thinking I would get the easy achievements. Just not a soccer fan. Oddly enough, the release of the new one only makes me want to finally delete the old one off my phone without playing it. I can see this is a losing battle and I have no wish to develop a soccer game backlog.
Somebody on XA said '14 had a long grind and that the new one doesn't. Might be better to play the new one first. I'll check it out after Terraria and AC:p.

Good size update (169 MB) out for Age of Empires. Not sure what's in it as I've yet to boot up the game.

I just noticed that a lot of ea games for Windows phone are on sale most are $2.99 so ill be buying some new ones I don't have yet. Are there any that have cross platform purchase? Such as halo Spartan assault..

I don't know of any paid Xbox WP games besides Spartan Assault that are universal apps.

Is it wrong I'm hyped that Zoo Tycoon is coming out soon? The achievement list just posted to xbox.com so that means a release is coming any week. F2P game that prolly looks like a clone of Ice Age/Bug Village. Eh, I don't mind grinding games for my phone. At level 91 in Uno & Friends and it doesn't bother me.

I think WP might be getting close to having more XBL games than XBLA released this year.

EDIT: After looking at XBLA releases for 2014, XBLA games are down, but  WP is still way lower :(

Yeah, it's not even close. At least XBLA on the 360 releases a game practically every week(34 for 2014) and WP owners are lucky to get more than one new XBL enabled game a month. Seeing as how XBL games for WP are dying, this prolly explains my excitement for Zoo Tycoon :D/

EDIT: Another free game. Secrets and Treasures Woohoo!!!! http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/secrets-and-treasure/9f0559d9-3878-4b1c-a281-b7051d1c5525

Man that's a lot of game time. Wife and I combined to have a lvl 58 account and I feel like it's been forever. I only need the lvl 100 achievement so that's why I keep going. I don't think I'll start it on WP though or if I do I'll get all but the lvl 100 achievement lol

You're a little late to the party. The game has been out since Sept 10th. :)

I was the first person to hit level 100 and it took about a week of playing almost nonstop day and night, whenever I wasn't sleeping, working or eating. Yeah, it takes a while.

What happened to Windows 9?

"Microsoft's Terry Myserson is quoted as saying the new Windows has been built from the ground up for a mobile first, cloud first world. The new platform will come with one store for developers to reach consumers across phone, tablet and PC." - Source

I hope this means more XBL phone games.

I'm thinking this windows is going to be such a huge leap they had to skip 9. Also, I think Xbox One might get getting (some version) of Windows 10. If you look closely at the slide (from the presentation today) with all the devices with Windows 10 on it, the one with the largest screen depicts the Xbox One OS

Hopefully with the release of Windows 10 Microsoft starts taking Windows Phone more seriously. It sounds like they're coming together the grand vision they have for their platforms I just hope when Windows Phone 10 releases they take the platform more seriously because right now it's still disappointing marketing, and support wise.

It isn't entirely a matter of how seriously Microsoft takes WP. In fact, 8.1 has been a TREMENDOUS leap forward in terms of what you can do with WP, and required a ton of effort.

The problem is getting a wider consumer base. You'll see more third-party stuff, at least, if/when there is a larger paying consumer base. Right now, the numbers aren't always there to justify porting products to Windows Phone in terms of ROA.

Of course, the merge of Windows and Windows Phone more completely should theoretically help. You get more bang for your development buck, right? And there will hopefully be apps for one platform or the other (Windows OR Windows Phone) that decide to take the plunge and leverage these new changes to get their app(s) on both for (hopefully) a relatively-low cost.

We'll see. I'm optimistic that with the changes they've made (these universal apps, the nicer, cheaper phones), they can draw some of the Android/iOS users away to Windows to get a larger share of the market, and make the whole platform more appealing by doing so.

I always see a ton of foreign players on the WP leader boards, especially from the Middle East and South-west Asia. I wonder if WP is doing a lot better in those markets than in the US.

A lot better, actually. It's very popular in developing markets such as India

Usually WPCentral has an article about how well it is doing in other markets. I don't remember seeing one in awhile. I easily could have missed it or another might be on the way. If I remember, I'll link to the next one. Interesting to see how terrible it is doing in US compared to other places.

Notice how 75% of the comments on our articles are from Indian readers. Which unfortunately sometimes leads to lots of begging for free games or complaints about games costing money or requiring an internet connection.

Project Spark is leaving beta in 4 days and will stay free. Achievement list is pretty extensive.

91 achievements for 1000g. For now it seems to be shared between platforms, e.g. this isn't stackable on each platform.

My brain hurts! An achievement for getting 100 votes.....bleh!!

Since each platform has an achievement list, I don't see how it's not stackable. You should be able to get 1000 GS each on Win8 and Xbox1 for example, right?

Not always do we see games with multiplatform release have different lists. For instance there are/were GFWL/360 cross platform games that share the achievement list.

Right now it appears Project Spark is the same, but we'll see for sure when it releases.

These are the ones I know of

"range is good" at TA said "Team Dakota has stated officially on the projectspark.com forums that all versions of the game--Xbox One, Windows 8.1, and Xbox 360--will have stackable achievements, and that they'll even unlock automatically on October 7th for those who earned them (whatever they are--we don't know yet) in the beta."

1,000 votes and 5,000 downloads ouch. 50,000 downloads can be across multiple worlds, but still a bit rough.

I'd recommend working on something short then stream and make a video of it within first week on the game launching.

Oh cool, well in that case I'm glad I am wrong :D

Red Stripe Pac-Man CE DX

$3.49 Phone

$4.99 PC

I was hoping for $3 with cross-buy. Instead I might buy another Red Stripe, Daddy Was a Thief for $0.99 because it has cross-buy.

EDIT: I forgot to post earlier that Project Spark is now officially out of beta. Achievements will unlock almost right away if you did stuff in beta. It is a separate achievement list than Xbox One version, although not all of them unlocked for me that unlocked on Xbox One version.

Three unrelated observations:

1- Zoo Tycoon seems to be out in Trinidad & Tobago for Win8.

2- Angry Birds Epic is showing up in the Xbox-enabled section on my WP8 phone (probably a fluke).

3- What happened to Kinectimals Unleashed fo WP8? It's no longer showing up for me.
