Sorry to go slightly off topic, but does anyone have any suggestions for putting music on WP? The app separates all my albums by artist, which is annoying since some albums have more than one artist. Anyone find a fix for this?

You mean the WP app for PC? It can be set to sort by folders.

It's been a long 5 days since the last new game release/update. So I am going to declare the Windows platform dead again. RIP

/sarcasm :)

I've just been dragging and dropping folders onto the phone. Should I use the app on PC instead?
Well, it shouldn't matter how you get them on there. Are you running WP8 on your phone? In the Music app, you just swipe over to collection and it lets you pick Artists, A;bums, Songs, Genres. Playlists, and Radio. So you can find the music on your phone however you like.

Under albums it has everything broken up by artist, and since some albums on it have more than one artist they're broken up. Searching online I've seen a lot of people complaining about it but I couldn't find a resolution. It's really weird it does that.

Ohhh, I gotcha. You might get around it by setting album artist to Various (or whatever) and then setting the other artists to contributing artists instead of album artist. Or maybe that wouldn't help. Sounds annoying.

Not a new game, but Uno & Friends saw updates on WP and Windows 8. If you update you should also get several achievements that were locked or glitchy.

Those were updated 4 days ago. See a few posts up.
Not for me. I already had both games and neither updated to include live until the 11th. I kept checking every day. The store had listed the last update for each game around October last year and there was no integration in game for either. Lots of people had the same issue as me. I thought some people here did, but it might have been over at TA.

I got all the level achievements in Uno as soon as the app started except for level 75. I'm only level 15. I'm sure having the level 100 achievement unlocked already will save a lot time.

There were glitches in that game? That is amazing. I say that because I am an absolute glitch magnet. If there is the potential of something glitching it will glitch for me. Even games that are not known to glitch will mess up when I play them.

Uno & Friends is a game that is near and dear to my heart. I was the first one to get 100% on Windows Phone. :)

The red stripe deal this week is Assassin's Creed Pirates. $1.99 each for WP & Win8.

Since Microsoft doesn't announce titles that will be delisted ahead of time, I am kinda nervous that I may miss out on some older titles I am somewhat interested in, but don't plan to pick up anytime soon. So I had this idea which may or may not work. If I download a trial version of a game, then the game gets delisted, would I still be able to buy it through the in-game purchase option? It probably won't work, right?

Back in the WP7 days, I saw some posts online from people that were able to do this (Twin Blades maybe?). However, that was a long time ago and things may have changed post WP8.

If you have the storage space to spare, I say go for it and let us know what happens if/when something gets delisted. You will be a hero and object of envy for many. :)

Much news http://www.windowscentral.com/

App can't even keep up. I had to switch to browser. I'm happy to see a ton of universal stuff between PC/phone and that upgrade to W10 will be free, but I am worried that W/WP8.1 games/apps might not work on W10. Feels like they want to start fresh and do it right this time with mostly universal apps. Still going through all the articles, so maybe that is answered somewhere already.

Zoo Tycoon is shutting down in April. Played it for awhile, but my animals got sick too often for me to enjoy it. Some of them you have to feed every hour to keep them healthy, even with upgraded food area.

I only have the last 3 achievements left, but have not been able to connect for the last two weeks. No help from the developer at all to resolve the issue. I guess this is why. I got the same email earlier today.

Skulls of the Shogun is Red Stripe on WP and probably W8.1
Bleh! I am sick of waiting for games to go on sale. I'm just going to bite the bullet and pick up the ones I keep hoping go on sale again, but never do.

New but stinky titles this week.....I dub it "new shit" week. :)

ExZeus 2 for WP & Win8 for $3 and $3.50 respectively.

My Lumia 925 just crapped out on me. For whatever reason, it did not respond to touch. Took it to T-Mobile and they couldn't fix it there so they're shipping me a new 925 overnight. While I was there, I wanted to look at the WPs they had there but they only carry the 635 and 521. I asked and the employee said they don't sell very well. Sucks to see that they actually backtracked with their in-store models. I remember being super pumped the day I got to upgrade from 521 to 925 so today I wanted to check out the HTC One or a newer Lumia model but it's a no-go at T-Mobile nowadays.

Might get the game because its different. Have a large backlog of WP games though.

Spotted another WP in class today. That makes 2 total in almost 2 years at a big university.

That's pretty much the whole Lumia line. They've had a lot of success with the low end of the market so that's been their focus but they've ignored the flagship devices. They need an aspirational device for the enthusiasts to show how good it can be. On T-Mobile, the 925 is probably it. (Though I have been happy with my 521 and 635.)

I do get mad at the salespeople at phone carriers who continuously bad mouth Windows Phone. That's why I do my business at a Microsoft Store.

Anything new being on sale is at least something different. The completion percentage on TA for it is roughly 20%, but those leaderboard and difficulty based achievements seem worrisome. The reviews seem decent overall, but there's no demo.

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing that article. Also, I agree with you're statement about the salespeople. The girl that helped me out did close her statement with "They're not really that good." or something along those lines. I was tempted to have her elaborate but didn't want to be in there any longer than I had to be.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I got the wp version and aside from the fact you have to feed some animals every hour or two or else they get sick, I really like it. Someone posted a way to get the wp version on TA. Once you do that you can install it on a win8 device from your my apps section of the store. The win8 version has commercials to watch that earn you gems which will be a big help.

You can demo the win8 version. I found it pretty uninspired.

Does anyone know which WP games automatically unlock achievements for their W8(.1) counterparts, and vice versa?

I could have sworn I saw this info on XA or TA but I can't find it.

EDIT:  I can confirm Secrets and Treasures does.  On a related note, it seems Secrets and Treasures survived the January 2015 delisting.  If you haven't already completed it on WP & W8(.1) it's not too late.

Kinectimals Unleashed

Age of Empires

Zoo Tycoon Friends

World at Arms

Alphajax

Microsoft Bingo (some don't)

Uno & Friends

So after downloading Halo SS on my desktop when it was briefly available in January in Malta, it now shows as purchased in my account.

So hopefully I can get it for free when it officially releases!
