"Try deleting it and starting over" is what you punt with when you have no idea what the actual problem is.
I am absolutely certain they know what the issue is. The question always comes down to how much time and money do you spend fixing the problem versus moving your resources to work on other projects. How many people have two consoles? [You may, but in total of all 360 consoles, how many have more than one? 1%? 5%?] Given that the new gen consoles are out, do you spend on that development or do you spend it on something that while it will make people happy will not make you any money?

It is an economic decision. Some companies are more customer focused and other are not. At the end it is a business. Did not fixing Horizon stop Forza 5 sales? Nope, so why bother Horizon is end of life -- lesson learned for next game. While it is not the answer you want, these are real world decisions that are made everyday at every company for any product.

I already have Web Of Shadows, so if you had to pick between Edge Of Time
and Shattered Dimensions which would you go with? Or are both of them garbage?
Personally I didn't like Edge of Time as far as overall experience, but Shattered Dimensions is more fun and composed game so I would def. recommend Shattered Dimensions. Also being a beat'em up fan Friend and Foe is my fav. pick out of 4 installments.

Get tdu2 you would enjoy. Forza hormeh is awesome at first then you notice content is like an expansion pack...
Wait, TDU2 puts you on Oahu? Modeled somewhat realistically? Does it include landmarks and things like Tantalus Drive, Pali Highway, and H3? Can you do split-screen just roaming around?

Because oh man, I may have found a racing game my wife would play with me.

I could easily drive around Oahu forever and pretty sure she could as well.

Thanks, think I'll snag FOF and SD tonight.

Wow...FOF is 1000G for only 12 achievements??

Time to get my "Cheev whore" on tonight.

Shattered Dimensions was one of my favorite Spider-man games, especially the Noir section of the game. The game really has a nice change of pace with the switching of characters that keeps everything fresh. Edge of time feels pretty repetitive in comparison.

How is X-Men: Origins Wolverine? Worth the $10?
Totally. I mean, a physical copy of that game could be had for the same price or cheaper, but if you'd rather go digital there is a lot to like about it. The combat is awesome and gory, exactly how a Wolverine game should be. The story is pretty shitty with a clunker boss fight here and there, but the campaign is long and has some good variety in environments.

Is the Forza Season pass worth $15? I assume they are no longer making additional content for the game.
The season pass included the rally expansion, IIRC. Look through the existing car packs as well - if there's a lot of content there that strikes your fancy then I'd say it's worth it.

Personally, I completed the campaign and don't play online anymore, so the car packs aren't that appealing to me. The rally expansion is tempting though, it was pretty well received by the community when it was released.

Thank you for your input. I guess I'll look for a physical copy for cheap then.

Upon doing a quick scan, you might actually be better off digital. I got my copy used from Gamestop awhile back for $9.99, now it looks like it's $12.99 with similar prices on Amazon.

Yeah, even using the birthday coupon and PUR, you're still looking at 9.09 before tax, so it's pretty much a wash.

If you have extra $10 to spend I would advise to hold off on Wolverine. They should have some good deals coming up on ONE Day Specials. If you're not going to find anything you like than by all means get Wolverine of course if you're a fan. Personaly I didn't like the game and I didn't like the movie.

>,> Wish I had extra $10 on the side.

Mom, Dad, ...Why am I so cheep?

I solo'd GoW a week ago and yeah some parts were just unfair ( the part where you first encounter Theron's in particular was a bitch). But nothing compares to trying to beat the Lambentzerker on Insane in Gears 3. I would never do that again even if you paid me, fuck that.
Yeah, that first Theron encounter was tough. I actually had an easier time (i.e., fewer deaths) tackling that solo on Insane than I did Hardcore because I made sure to always have a sniper on me for the Insane run.

Have you played Judgment? There's a section midway through the game that is as much of a pain in the ass as anything in the series when soloing Insane. IIRC, at least the Lambent Zerker fight had a checkpoint or two during the battle.

IMO nothing is as bad as Myrrah in GOW3 on Insane. The boss has a metric asston of health, there are tons of nonstop Therons and the little flying shooting things coming at you, and to top it all off theres a time limit (that you can't even see). Seriously, fuck that boss.

Yeah, when me and two of my friends did that portion on insane we constantly got flanked and considering 3 or 4 shots can put you down and the time limit and running from place to place to get the Queen or getting ammo it fucking sucked. I Can't even imagine doing it solo.

Myrrah was tough...but no joke, it took my god son and I 6 goddamn MONTHS to get past the Lambentzerker on Insane. 6 months. We tried to beat him for a couple months, gave up, tried again a couple months after, and it still took 2 months after that to finally get past it. We literally jumped up off the couch and screamed for joy afterwards.

Myrrah is easier on insane with 2 people instead of four. This is one case where having two bots pick each other up repeatedly is better than humans. Especially if the friends you're playing with suck.

Oddly enough, once I got a team of 4 on the Queen we beat her on the second try. The AI was what kept getting us killed as well when we did it with three actual humans.

Glad it worked for you. I read up on it back then and it was reported to be easier with two people. Unless you have above average friends. I was playing with my GF and two other girls (they are really bad like 0.9 KD online). The other two were connected to us on live (not local) and it was a chore and pretty much like babysitting them reviving over and over. Same with Judgment I just beat it with my GF. Whenever a friend of ours would join we would just switch to multiplayer lol.

Only thing on my wish list is a Double Dragon Neon deal. No idea why it has never been on sale before, especially because PSN give it away right when it came out for free. It has certainly been around long enough.

We're at the point in the 360's life span now where I pretty much have everything I want. But that one is still out there.
It was published by Majesco, which went bankrupt, & that's why the promised patch for online MP never came through. Way Forward is going to do another one with a new publisher and/or self published from what I heard on the Two Best Friends podcast.

For those asking about Xmen Wolverine. I thought the game was awesome. Of course I played it in 09. If you do get it at GS use the coupon from Kongregate from another thread here in the deals section so it can be cheaper.

i have forza from last year's BF sale (sad yes) and still sealed. is the season pass worth it?
If you want access to a ton more cars once you build up credits or buy tokens & you like rally racing absolutely. Comes with 8 car packs, 5 bonus cars, plus the rally expansion w/6 cars for it.

this makes me sad, especially coming from a t10 team member. yes, i have it shared with another 360. yes, i have the disc error, but only if i try to load my save file(from the disc version). if i choose to start a brand new game, i can play the game perfectly fine.

i probably would have bought the season pass, if i could actually play the game without starting over. i bought the demand version back in july during that sale, and the problem still hasn't been fixed. if they don't want to make saves work across digital/physical that's fine, but they need to put a huge warning on the description so people don't buy it. i would have kept my disc if i knew i would be unable to play the game for months/years/decades.
The most likely explanation is that the GoD version has been revved over the on-disc version, probably in both digital-signing certificates & bug-fixes. Unfortunately, if you have a prior GoD version, then the certs are expired, and you must re-download the GoD image from XBL to obtain the latest version of the image, as well as updated licensing certificates for your XBL account & physical 360. If your save-game doesn't carry over from disc to GoD cleanly, then try these steps:

  • Make sure your GoD is the latest image downloaded from MS. Like they said, you may have to perform a console-transfer to ensure the physical 360 license is valid & present.
  • Launch the on-disc version, and ensure you download all patches & updates (including DLC) prior to loading your save-game.
  • Load the save-game into the disc version.
  • Make some change to your save progress, then re-save & quit the game back to the Dash.
  • Eject the disc, then launch the GoD version.
Doing these steps is tedious (and will suck down your Internet connection), but that's 21st-century life. 8-[

"Try deleting it and starting over" is what you punt with when you have no idea what the actual problem is.
They do know ... and now you do too!

Getting those Onyx Stars in Judgment is a huge pain in the S, I'm still in the process of collecting them ; /

I made no attempt at playing Judgement on a higher difficulty, but I found it to be the most frustrating in the series since I was playing solo and the campaign kept putting you in these Horde-mode environments with useless AI. Doesn't help that the story was hella bad (the "declassified" tweaks generally kept things interesting, though)..

Many, many times I had to pick up all 3 AI partners during the Myrrah fight. I think that's the only part of the series where I died more often than Judgment's [customspoiler=spoiler]storming the beach, Insane with Declassified.[/customspoiler] I at least had a tactic with Myrrah, and I felt like I was making progress, random shot from a Theron notwithstanding. With that section in Judgment, there were just so many 1 shot deaths you never saw coming less than 30 seconds into it.

At least if a friend wants help with Myrrah on Insane, they aren't as masochistic as I am and will accept popping the achievement in Arcade with mutators.

Some of them definitely were, though generally if you can beat the section on Insane with Declassified, you'll get the 3 stars. Only a couple sections required more work, like [customspoiler="spoiler"]defending Embry's armor, where you pretty much had to venture out among the gunfire and Tickers to get some executions to fill all 3 stars.[/customspoiler]

I was really worried about one of the timed Declassified missions because it gave me a lot of trouble on Hardcore, but they thankfully gave more time to complete that section on Insane.

BTW, I posted this over in the XBL Points & Subscription thread, but I'll save y'all a click or two ...

For everyone in the Pacific NW ... for today only (Thurs, Dec. 19th), Fred Meyer has their legendary "double rainbow of coupons", where you can combine a ...

... to make XBL credit & subscription cards as much as 28% off, depending how close you get to the $50/$100/$150 thresholds AFTER the 10% discount is applied. For example, if you walk up & simply bought $175 of XBL credit, that will drop to $157.50 after 10% off, and then with $30 off that, you'll pay $127.50 for $175 credit = 27.1% discount!
And yes, that's the exact transaction I did on my lunch break today, so git-er-dun! :)

Probably a dumb question, but I was wondering if I get the season pass for The Walking Dead Season Two will that unlock the full game for the first episode if I just have the trial downloaded.
Reading is FUN-damental ...

Buy The Walking Dead: Season 2 SEASON PASS for the best value on remaining episodes (Episodes 2-5 to be released periodically) in the 5-part series once available to download. All Season Pass content will be available by Fall 2014. If you purchase this Season Pass, all future Season Pass content will be accessible in-game once available. Do not download from the Xbox Games Store, or you will be charged twice. The Walking Dead: Season 2, Ep. 1 – All That Remains game required; sold separately.

It kills me that in the west you guys have a store chain called Fred Meyer.

In the Great Lakes, we have the Meijer chain of stores, founded by one Fredrik Meijer.  Pronounced the same way even.

I know what it says, but I was just wondering if anyone has tried just getting the season pass with just the trial. Figured since the trial and the first episode are the same size. Maybe the season pass activates the full version. Sorry, just being a cheap ass and looking for loopholes.

All trials are the same size as the full game. In the trial and the full game is the same download. Take your full game to a friends house and it reverts to a trial. Have a friend come over and start up a trial a game he owns it turns into the full game.

Trials and full games are the same file since you're downloading the game. When you purchase the game, either through the trial itself or purchase it while the trial is on your hard-drive, you are just purchasing the "key". Look at the download size next time you buy anything like that and you'll see it's somewhere around 200-300KB.
