I'm probably going to buy State of Decay and play it pretty soon since it costs more than most other games I've bought. Don't need to be slapping my forehead a few months from now if it goes on sale for more than 50% off...

Well first, if you got charged on your CC it was added to it at some point (maybe just for Gold). If you bought it on the website, you should have paid attention. If you bought it on console, and have funds, and confirmed that the selected payment method was "account" and it showed a balance on screen as well as the cost of the item, then contact Microsoft immediately and let them sort it out on their end.
I bought something from Microsoftstore.com and I think that added it to Xbox.
Right now I can't remember if I bought it from console or website. But probably the website, which I blame since it requires a CC.

That'll probably do it if you used the same Live account. Dunno how exactly but they will find any way to attach a card to your account if ya let em.

State of Decay wasn't even on my radar. Might consider it if I was at home and could use account funds, but not spending real money on it. Only thing for me today is Riders of Doom dlc. I've spent about $70 this month on Xbox content, compared with about $60 the whole rest of this year.

Not to mention, it's basically just more Peggie with very blatant big labowski rip offs in world 2.
Not missing much.

I realize what their intent was, and I'm not angry at that - I'm mad that PopCap, a company who seems to specialize is those nonsensical quips (PvZ is all the proof I need) couldn't be bothered to take time from the games incredibly long development cycle to write the jokes INTO the context of the game, rather than just copy-pasting lines form the script, and then having a bowling theme.
I can't believe someone typed all that on purpose. What a humorless and esoteric reaction.

Peggle 2 is what a sequel should be - just like the first game but prettier and better. Leaving out leaderboards is kind of egregious, but they were rushed and also Microsoft stupidly doesn't require that feature any more. Hoping PopCap will add them in a future update.

I wasn't giving Peggle 2 shit as a game, I am giving it shit as being poorly written when held up against the other games Pop Cap themselves make. Humorless is the worst word you could have used, as all I was pointing out was how little effort it would have taken to make those lines funnier by simply contextualizing them into the Peggle world rather than simple reading of lines someone wrote 15 years ago.

To clarity, Nonsensical quips being what Pop Cap specializes in was intended as a compliment toward their style, not a slight against it, and I feel Peggle 2 lacks heavily in the humor their other games are plentiful in.

Should be noted here that the DLC for Trials EVO has lots of extra track and bike pieces for editing purposes and some tracks you can't download from users if they used the DLC to create it...at least that's what I'm reading.  Anyone confirm that the DLC is needed to download tracks from users that created using the DLC extras?  I would assume so...

So what is the opinion of State of Decay? I'm really debating grabbing this. Never heard of it till tonight. Got a few good games from the sale already. Peggle/nights, Eternal Sonata, I am Alive, Bully, and Brothers. So i'm kinda hesitant towards buying another game. Especially one that is 10 in comparison to the cheap games I've gotten throughout the week.  Still debating grabbing El Shaddai and SSX

Which DLCs are needed?

EDIT: Only downloaded for the custom tracks and wasn't planning on buying DLC. If a lot of tracks need it, I'll have to get it.

So far all I've grabbed is Fez and Eternal Sonata, but that's cool because I'm still chipping away at Battleblock and Dark Souls. It's been a good month.

I've got my fingers crossed for Sega stuff soon. I've been waiting on deals for R. Silvergun and Virtual On: OT for aaaaaaaages.
And Banjo. Always Banjo.

I like Major Nelson. He just seems like a normal guy. I like that he's a little older and lower-key than the usual pitchman who's trying to be all hyper and EXTREEEME. Anyone remember those embarrassing "All I want for Christmas is a PSP" dudes? Better Major Nelson than something like that.
J. Allard was EXTREEEME!

Almost all custom tracks made after the release of the first DLC need one or both DLCs to work. I would heavily recommend getting the DLCs at this discount price if you want to play user-created tracks.

Yes, I can confirm this, but the DLC isn't needed to download the tracks. You just can't play them. It's very annoying to download a bunch of tracks and find out you can't play them.

Today's sale is seriously four zombie games trying to cash in on TWD's success? Ugh.

That's something I've never seen addressed in a zombie movie, actually: wouldn't the fetid concoction of shit AND rotting flesh alert you to any impending doom?

I heard state of decay is too easy. ..has this been addressed? Is the dlc necessary to correct this? Thanks.
It is kind of easy. You're first time through you might not get that feeling, but once you get the hang of the game the challenge starts to fade away.

I was amazed by the game 3/4 of the way through. Then I hit a game haulting glitch; which has since been patched. There are story missions, and there are side missions that continually spawn. My story missions stopped, but my side missions kept spawning and I kept playing. I got pretty good at the game, so when I restarted it after the patch was released it was a walk in the park. The magic was gone.

Still, I think the game was worth my $20, and at $10 it's freakin' great. But if you are on the fence for ten bucks I implore you to play the demo. You have unlimited time in the first area, but once you get to the second area you have a time limit before the demo ends. I played the demo before I bought it. You'll get a message saying something like 'the demo is about to end, would you like to buy the game to keep playing'. When I saw that message I knew without a doubt I wanted to keep playing that exact playthrough, and bought the game on the spot. When you get to that message I think you'll know whether or not you want the game.

Though I can't speak to the dlc add-on. Since September I stopped buying any digital content at full price. I mean, the holiday sales are about to start.

And about the comments at Major Nelson's blog. I always thought the more official or big the message board seems the more likely it is to attract the disgruntled. They crave the biggest soap box.

Started to play Eternal Sonata and I gotta say the cut-scenes seem too long and slow. I am enjoying the battle system and hope the buttons on my controller don't wear out.

Does anyone know if we are able to use more than 1 harddrive under 1 gamertag?

I own too much GOD and DLC and my 250GB is always full. Thinking of buying another drive and storing DLC and Live Arcade games on one, Games on a Demand on the other. I'll just swap out drives when needed.

In theory I guess this should work. MS only cares that the content is either used on the system it was bought on or that you are logged into the gamertag that bought them.

Just finished Charlie Murder with a buddy of mine. Game is awesome! It's a pretty lengthy campaign as well, about 8 hours, and the leveling up system is crazy addicting. Best $3 I've spent so far.

Yup, just have one gamertag get downloaded on the second hard drive and should be able to play those games online or off as long as it's the 360 that you used to buy all that content.

You can use as many HDDs as you want, but you might want to keep your saves and gamertag on a flashdrive so they're easier to manage.

^ that, it REALLY is a great game, plus they have since tweaked and fixed parts about the game were problematic at first.

I'm thinking about this game but I don't know how it'll be playing solo instead of coop.

Grr. Now the wait for 12/31 deal. It's gonna be a slow going couple of days seeing that AC IV Season Pass up on the screen after tomorrows zombie fest. For all I know, it'll be something I already own physically, like Tomb Raider.

They don't get shorter, so try to make a habit of settling down and watching it as a sort of reward, since most of the lengthier ones come after boss encounters.

Played Trials HD for like 5 minutes off of my "Xbox 360 Triple Pack" disc. I could tell pretty quick that I was enjoying it enough to purchase the DLC. I also bought Trials Evolution and the Trials Evolution DLC packs. These games are different than anything I've ever played before. Very unique.

Thanks for all of this information. It helped with my purchase. Also a sincere thankyou to the CAG who spotted that one of the links on the Day 5 Deal page on the Dashboard was incorrect. One of the Trials Evolution DLC packs was actually a stupid avatar pack. I wouldn't have even noticed until after the sale was over that I accidentally bought some gamer pics instead of the DLC. I wonder how many people today got fuck ed on this?

Feels like I'm watching an anime with random gameplay sprinkled in. (not necessarily a bad thing)

I'm hoping the cut scenes get more actiony early in the game.

EDIT: Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand like Star Ocean (I think). I remember renting it and skipping cut scenes to beat it faster. There would be like 10+ cut scenes in a row.

Trails is awesome... but uhh... haven't you ever played Excite Bike pn the NES ? lol... i always feel Trials is like, the modern day Excite Bike

This is correct if we are talking about main game. It's wayy too easy and zombie hordes are joke. From what i remember, haven't died once on my full playthrough. DLC increase the difficulty, but you should pay extra for it.

I haven't played PC version yet, but from watching Pewds play it, I'd go with the Xbox version. It was a glitchy mess on PC.
It's the same story with Xbox version - lots of pop-in textures, clipping issues, bad framerate and glitches. Still fun game, but could have been more polished with few more months in development.

Same here. Been using an off-brand 250gb HD since 2009 and had no problems whatsoever.
They don't ban for that. I'm also using 250gb for 3-4 years.

I wouldn't call them a reward.

That indicates something good.

Start skipping them now.

If you like JRPGs and Chopin, go for it.

If you have a low tolerance for stupid anime bullshit, stay away from Eternal Sonata.

I don't ever watch anime, aside from Studio Ghibli flicks, and think Eternal Sonata is a great game. Of course if you don't like anime, and don't like JRPGs, then it probably won't appeal to you. Idk, something about it clicked for me, just dont expect to be drawn in off the bat, takes a few hours to get going.

Eternal sonata is not a good game. By the time you finish it you realize it's about as pretentious as it could possibly be.
It's funny how JRPG's have fallen. I remember gaming on the original Playstation and no matter how good or bad JRPG's were they were usually praised by gamers and the press. Then FPS shooters and WRPG's arrived and made JRPG's irrelevant. I liked the demo when it fisrt came out. I then played ES and became quickly bored with it. It's an average JRPG that looks good.

I bought Eternal Sonata even though I have it on disc. I never got around to playing it but want to some day. I figured having it on the HD would just be easier. Meh...

I played JRPG's as far back as NES and later SNES. I agree ES is beautiful. I even like the way the game starts out but once you get about halfway through the game it goes downhill quick. You can tell that someone thought they were doing something amazing with it but wow are they wrong. I'm not even sure I would classify it as average. I felt like it was slightly below average.
