Might have to wait and see for the MS Store since they're having a promotion for a $50 Xbox gift card with the purchase of a system. Just saw someone say in the other thread that the free game promo will be at the MS Store, but there was no confirmation link.

Yeah I didn't notice right away but you no longer get a rebate based on gamerscore. :( Now it's based on VIP Points. I'm only at two stars and like 30% to three. It doesn't explicitly say but I guess XBLM purchases are what raise your star rank?

I didn't lose any of my previously banked points in the changeover.

 
So, correct me if i'm wrong, i get $1 buck for playing Monaco more than 10 hours ?. Also, i still don't get how am i supossed to gain stars for VIP stats.

It appears that you earn 1 star for every $150 you spend per year. So to hit 10% you would need to spend $750 in a year on the marketplace and keep gold active for the entire year as well.

 
aka so much harder to earn money back from the Rewards program now. Unless you constantly spend money via Xbox store on everything media, just hope they keep doing monthly surveys.

 
FWIW, my 2500 Credits transferred fine to the new Rewards program.  If yours didn't, they might have just been deposited.

If future credits are going to require me spending $$$, I won't be getting any more credits ever.

 
I finally got accepted in the Rewards program now! Yes!!!  I am now old enough to reap the rewards, thanks msoft.

 
I'm not even one star on the new Rewards. As is usual with buying digitally through Microsoft, everything is more expensive so it isn't even worth it. I love how Rewards programs, not just with Microsoft, don't really reward anything. All they encourage is spending way too much money, which of course is only a reward for the company hosting the rewards program.

 
A couple of folks asked me for clarity and stuff, so I went back in and my points that weren't showing earlier in the day now are.  Scary for a second there though, sorry if I created a shitstorm, that's not the guy I try to be on CAG.  This new rewards stuff seems unnecessarily confusing! thanks also to those who made the aware of the TOS end dates for points and stuff. 

 
So I was excited for the rebate in the new XBOX rewards until I saw the term for it. Giving all you guys a heads up so you won't get excited.

1 Star - $150

2 Star - $400

3 Star - $650

4 Star - $900

5 Star - $1200

Screw that! I'm 1 star and am 27% of the way to 2 stars. I don't think I've even spent $1200 in the XBOX marketplace in the 5 years I've had an XBOX. The MyPunchcard thing is okay if you're spending that much digitally on Games on Demand, but spend $180, get $20 is not worth it to me, especially if it means buy three $60 digital games at full price. Yeah, I'd rather get my money's worth on a physical copy at BB with Gamer's Club discount.

The only decent thing in the whole program is the Games with Gold. Play a GwG title for 10 hours within 14 days of its announcement, not release it seems, and get a $1. Buy an add-on for GwG within 14 days of its announcement and get $2 back.

 
I didn't think it would be that terrible. Looks like I might be able to reach 2 stars by mostly using Bing Rewards points. Already 65% of the way there. That would double what the rebate was before this update, so I'll take it.

EDIT: Glad Minecraft X1 isn't using the same achievement list as 360. Added a bunch more easy ones. Time to get addicted again.

It's interesting, it seems the GwG promo is per title, so depending on the month and DLC, that could be up to 12,000 pts in one month?

Nice work on the new thread, Bloomy. Like the rest of the gang 'round here, I appreciate the effort.

I just checked the new rewards site. I'm only at 1 star now, lol. I'm not interested in the program if it's simply a buy-in to get a pat on the head and a .jpg on your birthday.

At first look it sounds good, but think about the time you spend. You have to spend atleast 10 hours to get $1. Spend 10 hours + buy DLC to get $3.

Not worth it to me.

Head over to the Steam thread. Some of them spend over 10 hours idling for cards that end up be worth less than $1. We got it pretty good over here.

You make a good point. Still, some of these games are well worth putting 10 hours into; I can see myself cashing in on this from time to time.

 
I saw minecraft on the xbox marketplace but it was unavailable to download or purchase.
553.09mb so that's good to know

Just bought Minecraft on Xbox One. Had to go through someones play history to find it but can also be found using bing search. Also it came up as 4.99 since I own it on 360. Checking DLC now. 

And previously purchased dlc is free as promised.

Super Time Force is great. I almost feel kinda guilty getting it for free. I would've paid full price if I knew it was this fun.

So, the map... only 256 x 256, and doesn't move with you, shows your indicator on the side when outside of the original Xbox 360 boundaries. Future fix, I'm guessing?
 
I'm still not getting minecraft to come up for the 4.99 price, but even after I try to buy it for 19.99 it won't let me finish checkout so I'll give it til later. I have unlocked some cheevos just in case.

That's how maps work on the PC last I recall. It's designed that way.

 
Just checked the new rewards page, like everyone else, totally underwhelmed. I'm at 1*, 30% to #2*, big whoop. And normally I don't spend two hours on a free gwg game, let alone ten+...the rewards program just kinda died for me instead if getting better.

Unless they changed how maps work on PC Minecraft at some point, the map only shows a certain amount of land. You have to make a new map if you want to map out more of the world.

You're right Frisky. Even saw a video where they needed new maps, same as PC, to show outside the boundaries.

 
So anyone with just the disc version had luck with this promo so far?  I've created online games (can't figure out how to join a multiplayer game) and otherwise fiddled around and it's changed nothing.

I unlocked several cheevos in the disc version several months ago, and the 4.99 price showed for me
