Not at all unless you sub EA Access and then you should have seen it coming. If you don't sub it and bought it for $9 that in no way affects your purchase. We've also seen by now that over the long term, sales that let you cherry pick the EA games you want instead of getting what they give you are becoming a better value.

I read people predicting NBA Live 15 would be added to the vault, but did anyone here reference any proof that it would happen so soon? I admit I was having a hard time keeping up with TWO xblox live threads. I waited until the last day to buy it for $9 (yesterday).

I am disappointed it was added the day after I bought it, but at least by paying $9, I have access to it forever and it's only the cost of 2 months of the vault subscription.

The IGN article was posted at a time when NBA Live wasn't even on my radar because it wasn't on sale. Honestly, I haven't wanted to play a basketball videogame in over a decade.

Multiplayer is added in an attempt to combat used games sales. The corporate concept is that if the game is single player only, once the campaign is completed a section of gamers will sell off the game, expecting never to play it again. By adding a multiplayer, there is hope that gamers will continue to play the game online, in an ever changing environment against (new) challengers.

Further expanding on the time-killing aspect, Tomb Raider has a leveling system in the single player, making you have to progressively enhance your weapons and abilities. It's also seen in the multiplayer, where you need to increase your level to unlock weapons, accessories and even things like character skins for use in the game.

Noting that, it's not always a bad thing. I actually liked the multiplayer in Tomb Raider (yet hated the single player). I'm currently playing Batman: Arkham Origins, and am really liking it's online mode, but when the online was announced there was an immediate rejection by a portion of the online forum community. The same was true of Bioshock 2 and Dead Space 2. There's nothing pressuring you to play the online mode, it's just another option to extend the value of your gaming experience.

Hopefully this will give an increase in the Tomb Raider community for a few weeks. Just watch out for hopping level 60's with their instant kill bow and arrows.

I would have gone with the assumption that most companies do that, so they can sell additional DLC and online related stuff(in-game currency) which might not be true for Tomb Raider but other games were MP seems to be forced in. As for the part that there is no pressure...well there kinda is....at least as a completionist, it's hard to find people who play older games and sometimes even harder to finish the requirements to complete the online achievements, because of the lack of players (except those hardcore gamers who spent years only playing that one game in online mode). That statement might be more true for intended MP Games, but still applies to games where the MP seems to be forced. I just don't like the idea, that I could have completed a game "easily" in SP but I'm forced to play an half-assed attempt of integrating a MP part.

Also that's usually the plan playing through a Game and then get on to another...not stretching the time artificially. (which they already do with achievements)

Again, you're not forced to play it. Companies track the achievements in their games, along with other data. Playing through a multiplayer game for no other reason than just to complete it does nothing. You say more to a company by not playing the multiplayer if you don't enjoy it than you do by playing it, paying for the extras for it, and thus spending more time 'completing' it.

There will be players online, since it's free. Don't let achievements ruin an optional game mode.

Damn the cheap ass hoarding is becoming a problem. Faced with a full 250 GB 360 drive I spent last year using 32 GB USB sticks for overflow. Recently I came across a 500 GB drive for $40, and was like why not.....with the old drive and the stick drives, I'm already out of space on the new drive stfu......
My XOne is maxed, and the external 2tb drive for it has 1tb left.....I need a 12 step program.

Can't you just delete what you don't play? Keep the save files on one of the memory cards, so that you know what games you do have, but delete games you haven't played in a while and just redownload them later.

Well, the facebook page that was referenced before said it would be the next game up. It didn't say when but that was good enough for me to wait.

 
Anyone else tired of all the reduced games and no reduced DLC? I already have alot of these games on disc but always get dlc when it's on sale. I think the last DLC I got on sale was in December.
 
Gosh the DOA5 Last Round Trial thing is a buggy POS.  I would never buy a game based of hw shitty it is...crashes every time I try ti play mid fight

Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite for 360 and Rayman Legends for Xbox One. Also, apparently April will be "double offerings" for games to celebrate a 100 million download milestone. Take that with a grain of salt though until its confirmed. Just kind of annoyed I bought Bioshock Infinite a few weeks ago (or was it months) when it was $3.74? and still haven't played it. I need to stop buying games on 360 at this point lol.

Yeah, I picked up a legendary for vipersbite a couple weeks ago but figured that kind of thing was common for the UEE. I'd only played the vanilla 360 version before that.

Yea Bioshock Infinite always had the feel of possible being GwG

Tomb Raider is one of my favorite games.  And I've never played Infinite, but heard it was decent.  No lame arcade titles, two full retail games, yeah!

 
Because of Games with Gold I have pretty much given up on buying digital games unless I have bing rewards credit. Just seems like eventually they'll give away all the games I would buy. Atleast if I have the physical disk and they give away the digital version I can put it in my collection or trade it in. I have a digital version of Tomb Raider on Xbox One so im glad they have it as a 360 title.

IMO this is by far the best Xbox One/360 combo Games with Gold month. I love all 4 of these games.

This is my sentiment exactly. I have too big of a backlog (too many good games to choose from) to buy digital stuff that I can never trade or give away. Between PS Plus and GWG, I get several games per month that I don't even have time for, so why would I purchase something else that may be free eventually? I wonder how GWG and PS Plus hurt digital sales in the long run. I guess there's still enough people who don't mind, but i'm too cheap and have too many options.

 
I think the holding off due to gwg seems pretty common here on CAG but would probably be next to nonexistent for the average XBL consumers.

As far as quality of the games go, I'd say so. But since they're both games I already have it wouldn't be the GWG month that I personally liked the most. For me it would be when we got Saints Row: The Third. I never played a Saints Row game, and it got me into the series.

If it is Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite I'd be up to playing both again to get those $1 credits from Xbox Live Rewards. I haven't done that for the past few games.

Nice, free standalone expansion, and double GwG in April, good times.

March games are good, but already have them in one form or another. They are great for people who don't have PS+, but I can't help but feel like they are giving us Sony's sloppy seconds. I would have loved to get the TR definitive for XB1, but I don't think that is likely to happen, as Square uses PS+ and GwG as opportunities to upsell dlc (and there is nothing wrong with that), it wouldn't make sense for them to give that away.
 
I don't think Definitive Edition is even worth it unless you like the multiplayer. The DLC was all costumes for single player, and multiplayer was pretty rough when I tried it. I didn't like the changes they made to Lara's face either, definitely looked better in the first release. At least the rest of the graphics are slightly better I guess.

 
fast and furious is one of my favorite movie series, i love forza horizon 2, this is all around baller awesome.  also glad i passed on rayman legends when it was on sale, i had a feeling it was gonna pop up free on PS+ but i'll take it on xbox one

thought lords of the fallen was gonna be one of the free games, now my $9 copy is even sweeter
