Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

If anybody is picking up a COD console bundle today, be aware that a lot of people are having problems getting their game code to work. Hopefully it gets fixed later today.

EDIT: And download times are really long for a lot of people as well. If they get the codes working, that will be a ton more people downloading the game and even more slowdown.

I'd argue that Killer Instinct and Dead Rising 3 were the first big fall releases when the console launched last year. My reward is having fun for hundreds of hours for about a year longer than late buyers. That is priceless to me.
"hundreds of hours" damn thats a lot of xboning

I'm not bitter. I just thought it was a funny way to comment on it. I do think customer loyalty is often mishandled when things like this come up. It's just as dumb as the different websites that offer coupons or freebies to new customers only. I'm sure there's good reasons for it and justification for it, but it still looks and feels dumb to existing customers.
Perfect case in point. I have an old myBestBuy account that I haven't used in years because I accidentally setup a newer account a few years ago. I have spent a few thousand dollars on the newer account over the past few years and zero on the older account. Earlier this year, I got an out of the blue $5 reward for the old account and did not get any free rewards with the newer active account. Literally moments ago, I got an email notifying me that the old account gets a free upgrade to Elite status. I appreciate the gesture, but it is almost worthless to me since GCU and other points, etc. are on my newer account. Why aren't they rewarding loyal customers instead of dormant customers? (This is a rhetorical question.)

In other news I'm finally getting around to FH2 after having it sit here for like two weeks and getting absolutely fed up with stupid Mordor. Hoping I didn't get a bad disc or something since it is taking an age and a half to install and barely moving.
If you decide to do online road trips inv me. That shit is so fun. I've been playing that way more than sp.

Damn early releasing the deals really sucks the wind out of Date Night.
Well look at the bright side, if she shows up early and you like her you've got a lot of time to spend with her. If she shows up early and looks like her parents were a hunchback and the elephant man you can ditch her and do something else.

Hope you drive better than your driveatar. In both games it's constantly trying to kill me.
Well your driveatar isn't very nice either.

In the Online Road Trips it's at least as much fun trying to kill people as it is legitimately racing. The chaos is the best part.
This^^ Its a fucking battlefield out there. Played in bunch of games against a clan of hummers trying to destroy everyone.

Kickz' driveatar has a history of intentionally crashing me in Forza 5. Then when I'm about to quit the game I'm parked on the side of the road after exiting a race and it comes swinging around the corner at full speed and barrels into me. Clearly he trains his driveatar to target me.

I manage to redeem the code without problem, but downloading since 1PM, and is 6PM right now and only 25% have download.

Finished the Speed Run of Black Flag.  Enjoyed it for the most part, but doesn't really hold a candle to II or even Brotherhood for that matter.

On to Sunset Overdrive now.

But yet it would bring nothing to the PlayStation platform!

Fun low budget game without any replay value (maybe to collect collectables). Probably should have been $25 or $35 when released. Devs got shutdown shortly after release, so no dlc or patches incoming (I don't remember running into any serious bugs while playing anyways). $25 is a fair price for it, but I'd recommend a rental instead.

thanks! rental it is.

Now on to waiting for the Halo collection.

Tempted on Burnout: Revenge. I've been holding out for a physical copy, but I've got some Microsoft Credit to burn after buying GTA: San Andreas. Decisions, decisions...

Wondering if I should pull the trigger on Titanfall or not. It's got to get cheaper for Black Friday, right!? Right!?
At least buy the season pass while its cheap. The game is worth $25 easy anyway. I've put over 100 hours into it and I'm still loving it.

Apparently the problem with cross buy is that although you buy the Day Zero edition of CoD on 360, it only entitles you to the regular version on XBO.  Which isn't out yet.

I don't remember why I stopped playing Titanfall. All my friends did at the same time. Then eventually I decided to wait until season pass was cheap to get back into it. Now I'm back into it and have no idea why I stopped. Everything feels so smooth and fun.

I have a question that doesn't have too much to do with deals. If I download a game on a friends X1 with my gamer tag, can he play it on his tag without me being signed in?

I know this works on the 360 but this whole "home xbox" confuses me.

Yea the one thing i miss thats not in other fpses is dat easy control and mobility in Titan. I just wanna run along walls all day. They need to announce Titanfall 2 soon with single player, coop and a better smoother online.

Its hard to go back to shit like Battlefield and CoD after Titanfall. I love the fact that you can't camp for long periods without someone unexpectedly dropping in on top of you and snapping your neck. And dashing all over the map in a Stryder ventilating motherfuckers never gets old.

Agreed! I bought a like new copy of Titanfall for $23 on amazon in case I want to resell, and got the $6.25 season pass. Played it pretty much all weekend and leveled up to 21. It's probably the most fun I've had with any online shooter in recent memory. Seeing that COD is basically ripping off some of the mechanics of Titanfall makes me feel optimistic about the state of first person shooters right now. Anything that gets us back to that frantic style of Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament is exactly what I'm looking for.

Now if we could just entirely trash perks and any perk-like systems (though Titanfall seems to offer a nice balance with burn cards, which are only temporary use), that would be the icing on the cake, but I'll probably need to actually go to Quake Live and the new Unreal Tournament for that.

For the EA Access members: http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/news.html

"Your membership will get you into Dragon Age: Inquisition on November 13, before the game’s November 18 release date. The six-hour trial lets you create your hero, form your Inquisition, and take your first steps into Thedas, exploring the world and battling evil in both real-time and tactical combat. You can even jump into Inquisition’s cooperative multiplayer missions."
Have they ever started selling EA Access Time cards anywhere?

And another question. Can one Xbox be the home Xbox to multiple accounts?

Say me and friend already made each others xboxs home xboxs, can a third friend make one of our xbox his home Xbox? Or will mess stuff up?

HOPEFULLY that's not too confusing

Only one. You can get banned for sharing content like that, so I would avoid it. Counts as "Marketplace Theft".
""Using any sort of “shared” account to avoid having to pay for games or content."" "Sharing account credentials." "Fraudulently transferring content licenses." "Transferring licenses to your console from an account that you didn’t create."

Toe Jam & Earl, will you ever go on sale? When you do, I will buy you, and I will travel to level 0 and drink lemonade and sit in hot tubs.

Man I hear you! Those SVC collections haven't been on sale in like 2 years! Also waiting on Crazy Taxi/Jet Set Radio and some sega arcade games. May never happen now as Sega has had a couple of publisher/Sonic sales somewhat recently.

HEY CAG:

Deus Ex recommendations? I ALMOST bought it last time, but backed out. Also should I pull the trigger on all of the DLC? I've heard good things and loved Blade Runner/Rise of the Dragon (Anyone remember that game?) Both had similar settings.

Stupid Sonic sale! Seriously, who wants these games and hasn't picked them up already during numerous previous sales?

So the odds on Titanfall getting a complete version?  I will eventually get a Xbox One this Holiday and wondering if I should just buy that season pass now.  The co-op most likely makes it worth it I guess. Community going to be pretty weak with CoD and Halo now I would bet though.
