Paid that much for the Forza 5 pass when it went on sale like six months after launch and got my money's worth out of it. Also already bought it with the credit I had to burn through by yesterday, would just like to see if either that or the Telltale passes in the bundle count so I can decide if a pass goes on sale for something else. Got Storm Island as well though.

Jesus christ, now I see why people say half life makes them feel sick, took only 10 minutes to induce nausea. Guess I won't be playing that.

 
while I have never really encountered full on motion sickness from a game half life is one of the few (the other being f zero gx) to make me uncomfortable and want to stop playing

 
First dumb question of 2015. If my gold lapses and then I re-up next month I still get back my Xbox One games I have already "purchased" right?

 
Playing Ducktales Remastered reminds me how games like Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Enslaved and many others have destroyed my platforming skills. Thanks modern video games!

I really love Forza Horizon 1 ... i got Forza Horizon 2 but i don't ever play it.. i don't like the maps that much.. Forza Horizon 1 is great fun, worth at least $20 now-a-days.... multiplayer is really active too, and the single player is a blast.. you gotta play forza horizon if you are into racing games, it's my favorite go to racing game.

PSA: I fired up LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 today and found it's one of the few LEGO games that supports Xbox Live play. That brings the list to three:

LEGO Harry Potter 1-4

LEGO Indiana Jones 2

LEGO Star Wars TCS

It's a shame one of these is wasted on IJ2. I'd move it to LEGO LotR if I could. What's really dumb is that as far as I can tell, LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 does NOT support Live.

i think it has much better music and the graphics are amazing for 360, it looks better than the crew

I did a little review of the first car pack and Car Pass - please check it out. Basically, if you love the game and want more cars to collect, it's a worthwhile buy. If you're a casual fan or don't care about the car collecting aspect, you'd be better off waiting for a sale.

I never played the first Horizon, but 2 has a fantastic assortment of music. It's my all-time favorite racer.

MS gave a week of Gold to people that had trouble signing in last March 11 when Titanfall launched. They gave a month when Cloud saves weren't accessible in late 2012. In both cases, MS claimed to know who tried to access the service and only provided the free Gold to those people. If they tried that tactic this time around, wonder if someone would successfully get some extra Gold time by trying to say they saw the outage problems on the news (or at least Lizard Squad's threat of a Christmas Day attack) and didn't bother trying to sign in because of that.

Wikipedia also mentions that Undertow was given to people as an apology for service issues during Dec 2007 and Jan 2008.

I highly recommend guardian heroes. A game I always wanted to play back when the saturn version came out and never had a saturn. Speaking as a huuuuge fan of car combat games and a big vigilante 8 fan, I was HUGELY disappointed in Vigilante 8 on the 360. The car physics were all sorts of screwed up and the game felt like it was lacking alot. The one great thing about it is you can have 4 player local on the same screen, the bad thing is none of my friends that I played it with liked it at all.

I'm good beating it once on normal and calling it quits after that. Though I'm baffled at WayForward's decision to keep the cane swing only when near an object, otherwise I am enjoying it.

Some of the answers on that page say that you don't need a data plan and can use wifi instead. Only has 512mb of RAM though, so you won't be able to play all the games. EastX should be able to answer with more certainty.

That would be bad ass. I'd like to play windows phone games without activating the phone, but that sounds too good to be true.

Yes, you don't insert the sim card, put it in airplane mode, and then activate Wi-Fi and the prepaid Lumia 520 will work fine. A good, cheap way to play Xbox WP games, though I would recommend the Lumia 635 (currently $57) instead as it has a larger screen and better processor.

 
My final haul;

Game of Thrones season pass.

Dead Rising 3 season pass.

Nothing else really interested me in the sales and I have a massive backhaul as it is.

Was going to get both Telltale games season passes eventually anyway when the respective second episodes were released, so it was a bonus that they were both on sale.

Dead Rising 3 season pass I refused to pay £23.99 since I read the content was so short and not particularly amazing, so for £7.92 (less than £2 per DLC) I felt it was the right price. :)

I've been playing games for a long time, this is literally the first time I've ever even felt slightly ill from playing a game, and it wasn't slight in the least. Just looked it up and apparently it's pretty common with that game, something to do with the default field of view being set to 75 instead of 90.

Ended up with SO and Lego Marvel (which isn't the EOY sale). That's all.

I went through and catalogued last night all of my XBL games (non X1) and found that I have 84 games on 360. I have actively played about 20. That's sad. No huge backlog in X1, I have decided.

Really wasn't much for me on this sale.

Got the Orange Box... half life made me sick... 

Slender (because I forgot to get it on halloween)

Think that was it. Sale was pretty bad for me because for the most part I only play sci-fi/fantasy and horror games. So when the only things on sale are the usual suspects chances are very high I already have them. Still looking at alien isolation but I only have a 360 and that extra 3 dollars for the 360 version is really getting under my skin.

I know, right? I was just disappointed that gta and watch dogs didn't go on sale, also the sunset season pass. All in all, I can't really complain.

I was going to buy cod aw but my account won't let me add a credit card. I've talked to support 3 times so far and they can't figure it out. They are sending my case to a supervisor now.

My friend had the same problem he just ended up making a PayPal account and it let him add that just fine.

I don't have an Xbox One. Anything with significant DLC (like Bioshock Infinite) I'd rather have the complete editions on disc. I have Rayman Legends on Vita. Mostly I'm at a point where I refuse to buy retail games digitally, mostly to save hard drive space but also because I always want to option to sell/trade it. Plus I'd rather not add to my backlog by wasting money on a game I may never get to.

I can get behind spending a few dollars on an digitally only game I may have been on the fence with, but that's it. I'm just at a point where I'd rather put my time and money into something I absolutely want to play, rather than because a game was "cheap" (because let's face it, not many of them during this sale were that cheap).
