And on the topic, I'm getting DOA5LR...Need a new fighting game on xbox one for a bit.

 
I miss my SNES where the only online I had was some game genie looking cartridge that was called X-Band and would run my phone bill up sky high!

It's not a hack, it's a DDoS attack. They are two very different things.
 
Forgot the Lara Croft game has an achievement that requires you to beat the game with four controllers on local co-op. So if you guys want to 100% the game but don't have 2 or 3 extra controllers, either spend $150+ or forget about the last 15G.
 
Anyone getting an error on 360 saying something about not being able to retrieve credit card information? Been trying to download Sniper Elite V2 and keep getting it. Tried to go to Manage Payment options and also get an Xbox Live error.

Of course the game is free so not entirely sure why it needs my credit card anyway. But that info should be fine so I'm guessing it's an XBL issue?

I had that happen the other day. I tried again an hour later, no problems.

 
Damn, I'm trying to download it but I keep getting "credit card info couldn't be retrieved". Why do I need a credit card when it's free?

Edit: Nevermind got it working.

How? I haven't tried Sniper Elite yet but I have been trying to download Geo Wars 3 but it won't let me. The purchase screen doesn't come up (it stays just loading) and sometimes it asks for credit card info even though I have money on my account.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's an issue Xbox Support is working on. http://support.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-live-status/

XBox Live sure has become unstable the last few months. I am seriously considering letting my XBox Live gold expire in May. The service is down too often for me to pay for it anymore.

They always claim to be working on it, but it's an ongoing problem. Even if you already own something, when you try to download/redownload it gives the credit card error message. If you keep trying it will eventually work, but it would be nice if they fixed whatever is causing the problem.

FYI life's even worse over at PSN-land. It's the main reason I play more Xbox than PS4.

Don't know about Wii-U-land since I've never ventured there.

Between the big sale (if the prices are all true), DoA 5 LR, and Xenoverse, I'll be getting a lot of games soon haha. Also really interested in ScreamRide so I will try that demo for sure.

The preview was out a couple months ago, but only to the top tier creators, etc...

Don't know if it is a worldwide update roll out, but I (along with many people) got the update this morning.

How do you make getting the demo to work? When I look at "compare game" it looks like it only shows ones I've played

I would miss the online and I am not so concerned with the cost. I am more concerned about the increased instability and lack of Microsoft addressing these issues with more urgency. We should be getting updates on the hour until the issue is fixed. If an issue lasts for more than an hour we should be getting a days worth of prorated credit back to our account for for the partial day of down time. If Microsoft was more serious about making things right I would be more forgiving of these outages. The lame excuses on the Xbox Live status page is pretty pathetic. The XBox 360 was probably one of my favorite consoles. I guess the plan is to get people to switch to XBox One. That could end up being a costly mistake for Microsoft. I won't be switching to XBox One at this point.
