I get that most of the world has cable these days but it's still weird to me that there's no real night of family programming these days that bridges multiple age groups like there used to be.

 
Hoping Earthlock picks up. The trailer was great but what I've played so far has been pretty mediocre with some painfully dull dialog.

I'm still disappointed that there's no voice work at all. Not even some sort of emote when the character starts talking. Like I would take the old Final Fantasy text scrolling sounds at least.

So... is Forza Horizon a choppy mess of a game for anyone else?  I used to have the disc and played the hell out of it and was so excited to see it go GWG.  I even bought the season pass before even booting it up but my God, what the fuck happened?  I remember hearing some people talking about issues and I didn't know if this was it or not.  They need to fix that shit before making it GWG and BC.  Am I the only one having issues since it went BC?

Did you play Overrun in Gears: Judgment? I am guessing it will be similar to that - in terms of classes. (I actually loved Overrun - don't think many others did.)

I haven't tried forza horizon but I played gears 1, 2, 3, and judgement. They all ran like garbage. Literally unplayable. I was so excited when they announced it was available for backwards compatibility. That excitement ended quickly once I realized how horrible it was. I don't know who approved this garbage.

I tried a little of OverRun but didn't like it. Not because of the classes though.

Have they explained how the early access is going to work with physical copies of the game? Like I preordered from Best Buy. Will they just ship it early or what?

Why aren't hardly any racing games BC? There are FIVE retail racing games that are BC. Out of around 110. That is just embarassing.

Everyone is already crying about the class based system. I love it. It's just like Overrun. Makes it a more strategic experience since everyone has a role to play. Everyone wants to be Rambo though, so the concept of teamwork makes them uncomfortable.

I deleted the 360 games saves from my XB1, then when I loaded the game it automatically recovered from the cloud and worked smoothly.

This fix was mentioned for another BC game a few pages back. Definitely not my intelligence.

I'm just 300 points away from the next tier but didn't really have a great way to advance without pouring a ton of time into F5/F6, but now with FH1 I should be able to get those 300 points quickly.

Probably obvious to xbox vets but if you buy the season pass from within FH1 it lets you pay with your xbl credit, whereas the online website still only lets you pay with cc/paypal for 360 BC games.

I'm on Tier 7, have played the Forza Motorsport games since the beginning on the OG Xbox and the Horizon games well yeah since on the 360. Just imagine the other series that could take some sort of reward system like this into account. For me I'm like oh shit could you imagine if they did this with all the C&C games lol. Then you'd go back and have to zap 50 dudes with a tesla coil, now you're playing with power! The only disadvantage though is that all those other franchises would get in-game currency...

I'd actually love to see something for the Elder Scrolls franchise, I bet I'd make me go back and try to play through some stuff in Morrowind again... or finish the main quest line of Oblivion. :p

I love the content, it looks awesome. The problem however is that supporting something like this helps set a precedence I feel like. The industry itself is growing and companies are constantly looking for new ways of pulling in revenue. Giving more money for a product that isn't complete yet just seems wrong to me. I know ARK is not a game that is going to ever be 'complete' but without a complete 1.0 version yet and they are already working on extra content to bring more money in... just makes me feel uncomfortable buying.

I just hope this doesn't become a thing. Remember when DLC first started? Horse Armor anyone? Even today we still get rip-off DLC here and there but it took how long to normalize within the industry? I mean look how micro-transactions started and where they are now...

I just got done chatting with Xbox support because I kept getting an error code redeeming a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription code.  They confirmed the code was good and provided a replacement code which also didn't work.  Finally, the support person told me they saw I was trying to stack my subscription and said they no long allow this and that's why i'm getting the error codes.  Anyone heard of this?

I just got done chatting with Xbox support because I kept getting an error code redeeming a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription code. They confirmed the code was good and provided a replacement code which also didn't work. Finally, the support person told me they saw I was trying to stack my subscription and said they no long allow this and that's why i'm getting the error codes. Anyone heard of this?

Do you have a credit card attached to your account? I wasn't able to stack a 1 year sub on top of my active Gold sub a couple years ago. Waited for my Gold to expire, then redeemed the code. The following year, I had a card attached to my account (a virtual one with a $5 limit tied to my actual card so I could redeem 360 GwG on the web site) and was able to redeem a 1 year code on top of my active sub then.

I actually have several credit cards tied to my account. I've purchased various things on different cards from the Microsoft store, Xbox Live, etc. using different forms of payments for whatever reason. I tried deleting them all and still got the error message. I'm just going to sit on the code and try it again much later, I suppose. It's not a big deal. I got the code pretty cheap awhile ago and should have used it immediately and found it when I was cleaning out a drawer a few days ago and didn't want to forget about it again.

I think early returns are that it's OK and has some interesting twists to standard JRPG mechanics but is a bit bland so far and could really have used a slightly bigger budget. They put together a really compelling launch trailer so hopefully it comes together and becomes more engaging once it's in full swing.
