Been messing with that N64 emulator. I bought it mostly due to the shock of seeing it on the actual XBox store. I have a bad feeling that guy may just take the money and disappear.

Mario 64 runs ok (not perfect by any means). Kart has noticable FPS issues. That's all I've tried so far.

That browser-based NESBox works way better than I was expecting. The minor audio glitches are annoying but not a dealbreaker, especially for something that is free. Apparently that guy is resubmitting, since the N64 one got through. Not sure his odds are going to be any better, especially since the damn thing is still called **NESBOX** and he has a built-in search for ROMs.

Thank god I took today off work (was on vacation took one last day to relax) because my new debit card came in the mail and I moved my Forza to one day shipping. Kinda wanted Forza tomorrow just because that one extra day is going to be crucial between all the games coming out between now and December.

The addition of Fox Sports Go really makes this FAR more than a gaming console for me. It's pretty much the perfect media machine for me, at this point. My ONLY complaint is that the VIDU app is shitty - but that's on WalMart/VUDU, not MS.

Vudu won't support 4K content on my 4K TV (it's common for most brands) and also doesn't support 4k on most boxes besides Roku, I believe. Their TV app doesn't even work on some smart TV's without having support do a bunch of stuff. They do have issues.

Actually Roku just announced their 4K box. So give it time for Vudu to stop being ass.

I will say if my connectivity issues ever get fixed (sometimes when I boot up the machine it takes 1-4 restarts to log me in), it would be the perfect console. All my media apps, my tv, and games in one place. Plus my friends list.

The Vudu app on my :xb1: is super sluggish for the first few minutes, but then it eventually finishes whatever it's doing and then behaves normally. My movie collection is quite large, so that may be part of it.

Lost a couple close games and I got hate mail from several people. Some dude started spamming my inbox calling me a bum and all types of shit. I checked his profile and literally the ONLY games he plays every single fuckin year are Call Of Duty, GTA Online, Madden, and NBA 2K. What a casual bitch.

I played against some guys who were launching 28 footers and draining them with ease. It's stupid. How can you compete with people who are better just because they were willing to outspend you?

In the world of streaming and on-demand I do not get why people still purchase movies. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Scarface, Godfather, Alien, etc etc and other shit like that I understand buying. Those are classics.

But how many times are you really going to watch Battlefield Earth?

(Note: I have no problem with you purchasing movies. This is just fascinating to me. Especially since anytime I see you online, you are playing Destiny. Never says 'Anak Chuckatoa is watching American Pie again')

I've been collecting movies since the vhs started being priced to own and i continued though to blu ray and I think the picture quality is way better then streaming. If my wifi's out, (I live in Florida with daily thunderstorms..) i can still be entertained. I like the commentaries, extra features and ease of use. I have a shit-ton of video games starting with original Atari, NES, Genesis, xbox, Gamecube, ps2 and all the way through all 3 modern consoles. 

 
I'm afraid to tally up the DVDs I have, it might actually outnumber the game backlog.  I mostly stopped buying a few years back, only picking up the occasional Blu-ray now and again, plus hitting up the Criterion sales at Barnes and Noble.  Though there's a 30th anniversary Steelbook Blu-ray of Transformers The Movie out, plus an Iron Giant special edition.

One, the internet can fail and or people don't always have a super fast connection. Two, collectors would rather have something tactile versus something stored in a cloud they can lose. Three, the prices of movies via streaming are about the same as just out right buying it. I mean why pay $19.99 for a New Release when I can go and buy it get the DVD, BD and a digital copy to redeem. *shrug* Like you, I have nothing against streaming just for me I'd rather own my movies.

You are correct, streaming will never be on par as physical media. There will always be a loss in quality for streaming. In both video and audio.

 
I never had any channels to watch growing up so I collected VHS tapes and had a very large collection and then switched to dvd and have a massive collection. I don't really like newer movies that's the only reason I stopped and the fact I never watch movies just like I never game

I have walls of stacked cases and those 350 capacity binders full and stacked around

I have around 5k movies from the 1920s through 2010ish with a very very few blu rays on top of that

Haven't bought anything in a few years and don't plan on ever collecting again

the entire collection is near worthless though so definitely a smart financial decision but hey if the net goes out and the zombies come I can always hold up in my shelter and watch the national lampoon christmas movies with a generator

totes worth it

It was funny because the game was real close. We lost like 21-17. Not like we got blown out. I'm new to MyPark so admittedly my defense was subpar but I still had 5 points and 3 assists against a team that had won 8 straight. I got a message from dude and I thought he was gonna say something cool like "good game, we'll get em next time". Nope. It said, "play D you fkin skrub". His IQ was fairly substandard, needless to say.

That's online multiplayer in sports games. I remember trying to play MP in MUT early on in its life one year and people would quit after their first drive even when they scored first. That's why I typically stick to career modes where I'm the only asshole that can ruin my own experience.

 
So if you're like me and bought a HDR TV and all HDR content looks like garbage it looks like there's an explination. Vizio rep indicated that the S is outputting in a 4:2 chroma instead of the 4:4 chroma it's capable of and they expected. Basically MS went with a lower color spec, probably to be compatible with lower end HDR sets, and it's messing things up in the pipeline. LG and Samsung seem to be having the same issue so it's possible it's the same thing messing it up. Vizio seems to be working on it, not sure if MS plans to address it at all since their support solution to it is just disable HDR.

Hopefully it's fixed sooner than later since I'd really like to play Forza.
