For the original Destiny I started out with a physical copy from BB. $10 cert. After a few days I knew I would be playing it for months. And digital allowed me to play it with my nephew on PS3. Which never happened.

Didn't regret switching from physical to digital.

I guess my brain is a little fried. I'm still living off GS credit so I had to get Destiny at full price there (well, XBL credit for digital) instead of being able to use my friend's GCU like normal. Not that bad of a trade then.

 
All this Destiny 2 talk reminds me of playing 'Guild Wars' back on the PC  in the late 2000's.  Spent about 3 years playing that game while getting through junior college.  Pretty sure I'd lose myself if I started Destiny 2.  

Picked up SoulCalibur V and Enslaved from the sale.  Always heard good things about Enslaved and for $3.75, I'm happy to chuck it into the backlog with the hopes of it going BC. Same with SoulCalibur- holding out that it Soul Calibur IV will go BC. 

And having just begun digging into Metal Gear Solid V........my backlog is stagnate.  Only have about 5-8 hours a week to game these days

This is my most played game of 2017. I just can't stop playing it.

It might be beneath them but would love to see Psyonix do a track-based arcade racer — either with cars or a kart racer. Think it would kick ass.

Guess just the general lack of any good games is that genre this gen made me have that thought.

I have to jump on the HDR bandwagon. Finally took the time to calibrate my TV and I must say, FH3 is absolutely stunning!

Can't wait to load up RE7 this weekend and chill with that.

Like Enemy Within, War of the Chosen is a complete rework of Xcom 2. It shares the same game tile this time tho, it opens a launcher to pick the original or expansion content. Lots of changes, but I gotta say the game changer for me is target preview. When you hover over a spot to move, it shows alien heads for targets in range and shows whether or not the shot will be flanking. They added research breakthroughs, which gives you one chance to research something extra. Last night I got one for +1 damage for all assault rifles, including magnetic and plasma. Definitely worth delaying resistence comms, or was it? I already have one of the chosen demoralizing regions and making them pay out less monthly supplies.

So ya, lots of cool new stuff. I'm quite happy so far.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in with advice/suggestions for using Amazon Trade-In. I submitted the trade in request last week and shipped it the day after that. They received the package yesterday and I got paid today. Awesome!

In other news, even though I've had my PS4 for a year now and have been primarily playing that, I have not abandoned you all completely. I recently finished the Bioshock series for the first time on my 360. Not sure why I procrastinated that for so long but I'm definitely glad I played it now. In other news of my procrastination, I started Fallout 3 for the first time last night too. You're all free to wonder wtf is wrong with me for waiting so long. I am too.

I know, I'm breaking all the rules by talking about playing and finishing games from my backlog, but I just wanted to share.  :)

I did. It's a bummer, but I haven't used it much in the last couple of weeks. Used it a ton the first couple of weeks after I redeemed them though. I hadn't used it since last year when I got a free month, so I can live without it again.

On the topic of amazon trade-ins, does anyone know if the codes are needed that are included with a game? I bought a copy of ESO: Morrowind for the DLC code since it was cheaper than the DLC on its own. Amazon is offering $15 for the xbox morrowind version, but only $1 for the standard version of ESO even though they're the exact same thing except for the box unless the DLC code is included. Is this just them messing up like gamestop did when it first came out?

 
Played a bit of Ninja Storm 4 after picking it up on the cheap last week. I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing but the battles are pretty insane in that game and kinda cool just to watch.

Might have to check out Dead by Daylight. Isn’t it kind of like Friday the 13th without Jason?

Finally got power back here in SW FL. My neighborhood got torn up quite a bit. Many streets in my neighborhood don't expect to have power restored for another week still. Most people I know sustained 5-10k in uninsured losses. "Uninsured", since most hurricane deductibles are around 10k. Several homes at the back of my neighborhood along the Intercoastal Waterway have several feet of water intrusion.

Gas seems to be reasonably easy to find. But Publix has their bakery department closed, no bottled water or bread to be found and milk is hit or miss. I was fortunate to be in a pocket (a few streets) where things weren't that bad. Damage is pretty widespread across the entire FL peninsula, but is scattered. It seems that the legacy of Irma is that you either got hammered or spared.

For anyone jumping in late, the ultimate is not worth it. All of the dlc is maps that are free in matchmaking anyway. You are just paying to use them in private matches. It also came with early access to the game, but that doesn't matter anymore obviously.

Small game changer right here. However, part of what he mentions in the video is that "but the Xbox One wouldn't need to download all the 4K textures for FM7 that the Xbox One X would need." I was under the impression that only the Xbox One X console would be able to download those larger files because it is the only console that can do anything with them. Or are they now giving that previously mentioned aspect a name in this video?

EDIT - "Chunks" is not a good name.

Way better in my opinion, but do research first. Friday the 13th fans typically don't like Dead by Daylight, and vice versa. Dead by Daylight is a bit more shallow and repetitive, and the matches are shorter, but they're really straightforward and don't require voicechat to survive. You also get to choose to be either the killer or survivor instead of being randomly selected at the start of a match. But you're mostly just running around the map activating generators until the exit opens, then you run out. It feels much more laid back and not as stressful as F13, but still very creepy. Especially with one of the killers having an inviso ability. The recent Halloween movie DLC that just came out is awesome, too. Michael Myers > Jason Vorhees

It unfortunately runs like shit on XB1 unless a recent patch fixed the framerate. It's really hard to keep track of survivors as a killer in a cornfield when the framerate drops to 20fps. I'm also very used to the PC version.

I played 2 games of it last night and it's freaking fun and intense. I panicked on the first kill and left a purple weapon :whistle2:x .Made it to #22 and then #21, and only died the first time cause the bubble closed on me and killed me. They're adding squads too, it says so in the menu so soon you can have team pvp. soon The maps is very very huge. The only thing I don't like is they give you a generic character and you don't get you hero from the game. At the very least I would like to use my skin.

Shame that Virtual-On is Japan only. Maybe the releases are different besides the language settings? I enjoyed the trial of it on 360.
