Make sure the Global Ship Program option is turned off. Ebay has you ship to a central USA location, and then Ebay ships overseas. Luckily Ebay covers if the package gets damaged from the central location to the foreign country.

I guess that's one way to describe it. It basically has all the same problems NeoGAF had minus the shit owner. But yeah, the majority of the population migrated there so we'll continue to get rumors and leaks out of it.

 
So if I buy an Xbox One Kinect, I need an adapter to use it on my Xbox One S?  Well, that sucks.

That means I can't play Dance Central Spotlight. :(

 
Augh man, spent most of the day working with my father trying to get a new garage opener installed - this one is a DC motor and belt drive/hoping it has an inverter inside to work on our AC, they have to have right?lol. Of course that's also taking the old one down (which was a chain one installed by my grandpa lol like 35 years ago) and also that's all within a cold ass garage. Seriously, stupid me working on it with sneakers as I had to switch to boots as my feet were frozen half way through! Also tried to work on it with mechanic's gloves but had to take them off multiple times to be able to use tools and put screws B into socket A - god these instructions were probably written by a room of monkeys. Yeah def interested in a Mech Assault reboot. Mechwarrior/Battletech fan here. Also, would have liked the Kinect adapter in the chance when I upgrade to a X if I have a freakin' user friendly internet service later on. Actually have a few good Kinect titles in my library - I used to do Xbox Fitness a lot when they first launched that.

I don’t know why, but I signed up for the GTASC individual contest this year. I’ll set my over under at 5 weeks. Last time I played was 2015, lasted until August mostly due to the TA ratio decay of Master Chief Collection.

Lip sync was definitely an issue in season 1. They eventually fixed it in episode 3 or 4, but I don't think they ever went back to fix the earlier episodes. Also Blackwell is supposed to be a high school for seniors only, but in the new one they changed it to a 4 year high school so ...who knows.

In the new one (Before the Storm)
they mention that funding is being cut for certain classes and that the Prescotts are giving Blackwell more funding for the arts, so that's probably why the school changed to focus more on that.

I'm contemplating creating another thread for my blue day (PS4) code giveaway. That way Bloomy doesn't kill me in my sleep for flooding his thread. 

Another idea I've had is creating a free trading train thread where you post codes you have then whomever posts next lists what they want from you and what codes they have for free. Just an idea I've been flirting with all day. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Props to Ejectedbunny for the giveaway.  That's just a solid thing to do and I think it's proof of how cool the core community of not just the site, but of this thread is.

I wish I had something to donate.  The only thing I have are some of those Forza codes from the pizza rolls.  I don't even know what they do.  

I made some last minute purchases before the year end sale disappears (Dead Rising 4 + SP, Inside, and I Am Bread).  I'm actually at the hospital and had a quiet moment to make some buys, just in case I didn't have time tomorrow.  No fear... the wife and I just introduced a new CAG into the world today, so things are probably going to get hectic.

I grabbed Astroneer and that game will take a bit to get a grasp all of the mechanics and controls, as it doesn't have a tutorial yet and it's way more complex than the other survival/crafting/exploration games (Minecraft, Terraria, Don't Starve, etc).

I’m playing with my 6 year old and mostly Lego dimensions and Rayman

My 6 year old loves Lego Worlds, Disney Infinity 3.0, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, Lego Batman 3, Arms, and many others. He is even starting to get into Overwatch when we play together. My 3 year old likes playing Arms on the Switch but hasn't got into much else.
 
So I loaded up The Division last night and started playing. Getting used to mechanics, inventory management, and various weapons. I was a little disappointed I couldn't use a shotgun and uzi at the same time (I know in game weapon names are more specific).

Liked it enough I decided to get the season pass and Rainbow Six Siege Complete while they were still on sale.

Have 2 questions about The Division.

1) Is there a melee attack? Am I missing something? Sometimes enemies will rush with baseball bats or similar and then be so close it's hard to shoot them.

2) In the lower right corner of the attached screenshot there's an orange inverted pentagon with the number 5. Anyone know what that represents? Saw it on other players in the safe house and couldn't figure it out.

Good to see other dads around here. I’m a father of four myself. 😀
My youngest is 7 and we enjoy the Lego games and Rayman. His older brother plays Minecraft with him. Rocket League as a family team is also fun! He is a big fan of Shovel Knight, Megaman & Cuphead as well. (he finished Shovel Knight and several Megamans in the Collection)
But most of those went to the wayside when I introduced him to Breath of the Wild! It is by far his favorite. (Maybe too much 😀)

Additional family recommendations: Knight Squad, Screencheat, Overcooked, Speedrunners, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Slime Rancher, NBA Jam, Halo MCC (with my older kids - two daughters & older son, we play as a team against family friends)
(Several of these were GwG, so they maybe in your backlog already)

In the end, I couldn't bring myself to pay $5 for DLC to a Transformers game I'd probably never play again.

And naturally, the first day the tab that's been open for a week goes blank, I regret not doing so.

This too shall pass.

I appreciate the gamer parents discussion. My 3-year old daughter likes to “play” Rock Band with me. Using a disconnected guitar. We also like Zoo Tycoon and Disneyland Adventure, but the interest level is still limited. Lots of iPad games for that age group though.
 
Thought about a last minute pick up from the year end sale with Quantum Break but decided on picking it up physically for $13 on ebay.

Got a couple of months before Far Cry comes out, hopefully I can work on my backlog a bit!

As far as being a gamer parent, my kids never really got into gaming. They'll play some Kinect stuff now and then but I almost have to remind them they can play games and it's not just mine. I've failed as a gamer dad!

Ive had the same issue. I literally have everything gaming related and neither of my two kids like gaming. They are glued to the stupid YouTube personalities. Ugh. I just took my daughter's phone away.

Same thing. They will play some things on their tablets but only for a short amount of time. Consoles just seem like a foreign concept to them.

Exact. Sadly I think it's an issue of them just wanting to consume content "YouTube," and actually being too lazy or not wanting to work for something "games." This worried me because they basically will quit at the first challenge in a game. My fear is that this attitude will carry on through life. Gaming was awesome for me because it made me comfortable with being challenged and banging my head at a problem. They sadly don't seem to want to do that. Its basically what society is teaching now.

Thanks again for the KI Gargos. I never play KI so maybe I'm stupid, but it seems like that code had A LOT more to it than just a couple things for Gargos.

No! Not the YouTube personalities. My 6/3 year kids prefer them over any other screen time. At least they are in smal chunks which can make it easier to find a stopping point.

Hmm, if I’m going to avoid my kids losing interest maybe i need to play more games in front of them. (Not the resident evil 4 that I’m really enjoying)

My kids also enjoy button smashing simple fighting games - dad beats dad and SNES street fighter
 
My son is 10 and my daughter is 6.  She hasn't taken much to gaming other than Kindle games but I'm pretty sure she would if I suggested it.  My son has been playing since probably 4 or 5 I think.  His first game was the Marvel Superhero Squad game on 360 but he proceeded to get every Skylanders game each year as well as all the Disney Infinity games and Lego Dimensions, even though he didn't play that one all that much.  Surprisingly, he loves Legos in real life and is going through a HUGE Ninjago kick right now but he's never been all that interested in the Lego video games.  I have a pretty good number of them he's tried, so I'm not sure what the deal is other than even as an adult, when I play those games there are times where it can be overwhelming what the heck to do next.

Right now he's all about Madden and Rocket League.  I have two XB1s and he has his own Gamertag so after he got Madden 18 for Christmas we started a franchise together complete with fantasy draft, so I made my picks from downstairs while he was doing his upstairs all in real time.  It was pretty awesome hearing him get mad at who I picked lol.

 
I don't know what I love more political talk or the weekly kids discussions where people seem surprised and impressed with each other having children like it isn't the most common thing that's been happening since the beginning of time.
