Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.

I'll wait for the Battle Royale version

It’s also going to be FMV and require the upcoming Xbox light gun

Does anyone know whether the actions for Step 2 of the Apocalypse Reward Quest (earn 5 achievements) have to be completed in games you've purchased since May 1st?  I see Fallout is on the list, and I've coincidentally recently picked that back up to finish off, but I have the physical disc.  I have the digital version of Borderlands 2 that I could do them in, but I bought that last year.  Right now I have 0/5 achievements tracked.

You would have to buy the games during the promotion, not games you already owned. Be neat if you get 4000 rewards credits for 5 achievements.

For some reason my wife can't play Dead Space 3 online. It says "Your profile does not have the correct permissions to access XboxLive functionality"

Has anyone had this issue?

I'm assuming she doesn't have gold? If so I think she has to be on your primary Xbox One.

I have an Xbox One X in one room and an Xbox One in another room but my account is the only gold one so we have the X in the main room set as my primary console so my wife and kids can play online on that one with there own accounts.

We only have one Xbox and I am the one that has gold, but she can play everything else online as long as I am signed in.

Last I knew Xbox 360 doesn't share gold the same way Xbox One does, BC is just emulating an Xbox 360 so if she doesn't have a gold account could be why.

One of the May challenges is log into your account 10 different days, hopefully that doesn’t mean I have to log out and in cause I never turn my Xbox off

If anyone has NBA 2K18, here's a free Locker Code - Jordan Day Gift, supposedly. Enter in the in-game locker code section apparently (I only played it during the free weekend so I'm not sure why I even got the email):

GMTMG-PMTNJ-9FQYY-PHWBW-Z2MAY

Could be some kind of weird license ownership restriction. Back on the 360 I had issues when trying to proto-gameshare The Taken King DLC for Destiny, and the Heroic II map pack for Halo 3. I'd have to log in with my friend's account that owned the DLC, boot up the game, then sign in with my account on a different controller before signing him out. These two games wouldn't let me use the DLC like I could normally with other stuff for whatever reason.

Dead Space 3 does have an online pass so I'd guess that's the problem, though I assume it's free by now so she should just be able to "buy" it as well if it is the issue.

Well shit I did not realize Movie Pass changed to one viewing only. They are on a sinking ship obviously.
For new users yes, but I believe that current users who were on the Unlimited Plan are grandfathered in. ALL users however now cannot see the same film twice. Released that change RIGHT as Avengers Infinity War dropped. Coincidence? :booty: :shame:

I would speculate it has more to do with the financial audit and the going concern. Whoever funded it wants to know how they are going to make the company profitable and it was either raise the price or cut the benefits, so you can see which one they picked. Kind of like if you eat breakfast cereal... those boxes are getting smaller and smaller so that they don't have to raise the price to keep it profitable.

For those that may have missed it, Destiny 2 (PS4, XB1, PC) is back up at Best Buy for $9.99 ($7.99 GCU.)

Pro tip: to get $1 off in-store pickup, select shipping at checkout to trigger the offer and then change to store pickup

I'm 51 gems short of another $5 cert, and I'm really tempted to just preorder Dark Souls, grab $11 worth of stuff on sale (Firewatch and Just Cause 3), and profit. Not real profit, but it's $5 back that I would otherwise have to blow on overwatch wallpapers.

I just didn't want to preorder Dark Souls. I love the series, but this port is just a quick upres with a lil multiplayer enhancements. That game has jacked up backstab animations that you can chain endlessly, that I'm pretty sure I did offline against npcs so it will be in full effect on the remaster. On top of dead angling, which is turning your back to swing your sword to make it unblockable. DS1 had the best level design, but I am not eager to revisit the clunky mess called PvP. I also don't really want to support FromSoft contracting out a lazy cashgrab of a port.

Then again, the thoughts of Blighttown running >10FPS and HDR in the Tomb of Giants almost sound worth $40.

But how else can I get 51 gems? $9 JC3XL, $5 Firewatch... $15 Everspace?... umm... hold out for the next two date nights and hope Ubisoft season passes go on sale?

If anybody has 100 gems burning a hole in their pocket I would take 5 lunchboxes for fallout shelter. /End beg

I bought crossout coins with my leftover gems yesterday and am really regretting it. Fallout Shelter is really fun I can't believe this is my first time playing it and as I've found out those lunchboxes are super helpful.

It's okay though because moviepass helped me rack up enough rewards points at national chain that I have free tickets I wouldn't use otherwise. But really it's not okay, the sign up for one plan but we change it on you is not cool.

I almost want to grab it again at this price but by the time the game is fixed to the level I want I think used copies will be down to $5. Even if you end up liking the game you'll still have to get the $35 season pass to be up to date, and probably another $40 in September, or anyone could wait for the $60 "everything" edition that will surely come with the fall expansion.

It's becoming more clear that some new version or price drop is coming soon with this sale twice in a short time frame, and next month's Humble Monthly includes Destiny 2 for PC, meaning you can get it for just $12 digitally.

All this talk of gems made me look. Had 842 in unspent and/or unclaimed gems. That was an easy 15000 credits cash out.

Thx to whoever started this convo.

Call me a bad CAG, but what is up with the gem cash in? How were they earned? Not sure how I missed this as I usually read this forum daily.

Thanks for mentioning the Gems. I also had $15 worth.

More free stuff: Head to your local comic book store today for Free Comic Book Day:

https://freecomicbookday.com/catalog

Among the titles are Overwatch, Avengers, Pokemon, Nintendo Arms, and Street Fighter 2.

I heard some stores will have Venom movie posters too.
Yeah we had about 1000 people and the 1st thing to go was the Venom posters.

My kids love comic book day. We went to our local store, they were allowing 5 per person so we got 15. Overwatch, Disney Princess, Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Invader Zim, Transformers, Barrier, Pokémon, Power Rangers, Spongebob, Ghost in the Shell, Nightmare Before Christmas, Marvel Rising, and Star Wars.

Our store had lots of Cosplayers, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and a bunch more.
That's it? Whack, we were giving bags of 20-30 depending on the age group

Go to Xbox Rewards and if you click somewhere it says Vault. You use the gems that you didn't know you had to redeem your gems but almost everything is gone except F2P stuff. I don't know if $5 and $10 rewards are still in stock.

https://rewards.xbox.com/en-US/myvip/vault/

It's a big deal because they are killing it at the end of this month.

Welp, I didn't even know this was a thing, but had enough to get $5 mostly from earning achievements and buying stuff.

I vaguely remembered it and checked and was surprised I had enough gems for $10. Then I saw an unclaimed 250 gems and got another $5 from that. So make sure that you don't have anything unclaimed too.

How do you know the credits are in? Just by checking your point balance? I've never cashed in any gems before.
