Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Why is it not like this on mobile?  Or is it?

between the sony conference and this new fortnite stuff, I never thought i'd see so many people annoyed with sony, it's weird.

For those that missed it, Fortnite is on Switch now and can crossplay with xbox/pc/mobile. But if you've ever used your account on PS4, even just for 5 minutes you're forever locked out of switch and would have to make a brand new account. None of your progress or paid skins carry over because they're linked to ps4.

Destiny 2 base game for $10.
Ahh okay. I haven't played the second one for a while. If you weren't able to play the entire campaign during the free play weekend, I'd say that's worth $10. Not sure what's been updated or if they did the same thing as the first game where if you're in base game areas the enemies can drop DLC items that can't be used without the DLC. I sold my copy because I felt like I had gotten enough out of it, but enjoyed what I had played.

Late to the E3 party here... but what a roller coaster. EA sucks. Way to dig up and disgrace my beloved C&C.....I can't be alone in that feeling. Bad trippin' Sony Experience. Dying Light 2!? RESIDENT EVIL 2 !!!!! ELDER SCROLLS 6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No FF7 Remake news..... fuck .

I'm definitely in for:

Metro: Communist Dystopia

Resident Evel: Dos

Arrrrse Creed: The Odyssey of Mario Bros And Greek Hos

Living Dark 2

Multiplication 2: El Division

Elder Scrolls Elsweyr: The Toddfather Supreme Edition (with pre-order bonus of M' aiq the Liar statue)

Edit: Overcooked 2 !!!!!!

I sa

The Last of Us 2 is coming out this year? NIOH 2 is coming out this year? RE2 Remake is coming out this year? It's more then Kojima's game.

MS won this year plan and simple. Oh and gamers, especially the cross play news. Unless your on a Sony system you can't cross play.
i said 2019 tho I never said this year? PC Gaming Conference won they debuted so much new shit and Sega brought a bunch of games to PC Finally. Granted I don't have in any but people overhyped both MS and Sony when MS showed a bunch of multiplats

All those new Studios are making games for the next console not the current ones, Ehh I still Sony had a bigger showing with games and gameplay if anything the PC Gaming Show was best for me this year
I think Its safe to say both studios are working on their next gen games. Wouldn't be surprised to see The Last of Us 2 have a PS5 version like the first one.

Game was not playable for the majority of people who purchased it, for a significant period of time after release. In addition to my own experience, the forums on their own website verify this as fact. However, I do respect your right to be wrong.
i've played the game for about 150 hours so i would think i would know the difference between a game that works and doesn't work, but i respect your right to be a dick

Hollow Knight looked good. I would be more excited for Smash Bros. if I actually played any of those games. So for that reason I wasn't all that impressed with Nintendo's conference.

Are there any more Mixer events coming up for free swag?

I haven't shopped at GameStop in years but my bro wanted me to try to get some E3 Exclusive Master Chief Camo Pop Vinyl toy thing. He sent me a link and it gave me an option to try to see if stores have it to hold me fore. I select a store and requested one for hold. Sure enough I get the Hold Confirmation email. So I went there when they opened, I was the second person there, no one was there just me the other person and one employee. I told the employee what I was there for and she just told me they didn't have any or they were for preorders. Anyone else tried to get this and somehow preordered? I wasn't sure if it was available to preorder or not. I just emailed GameStop and told them my experience lol.
Yes, the three E3 Gamestop Exclusive Funko POPs were released this morning - some stores (mine) only received two of each (Gold King Dice from Cuphead, Active Camo Master Chief, and 8 Bit Black Hole Mega Man). They were not pre-orderable. Maybe someone called and had one held or (I assume, more likely) the employee was purchasing them.

I never got around to playing Destiny but just played Destiny 2 since it was on free play this last weekend. Looks like I can get the base game on disk for $10. Anyone want to give thoughts about it?
$10 for Destiny 2 seems like a solid value. If you enjoyed what you played, buying Destiny 2 with the already released DLC may be a better bet, but either way, you'd get a fair amount of playtime. It also depends on how much you like doing the same thing over and over. I, myself, play Destiny 2 every week to do all three characters for all milestones except the Raid and after that, sometimes I use the app to help others with quests. The repetition means I don't have to think all that much which is helpful for unwinding after being a therapist all day. And accomplishing some things - even though they're relatively meaningless - like getting all the faction ornaments - is fairly rewarding (to me).

New console talk is silly to me since Nvidia hasn't even released the new cards yet. The Xbox One X is so powerful for a console I'm not sure what they put in a new one right now. At this point I also don't see why you would need to reset the console. If PS5 and Xbox One 2 can't play games from current gen, that would really be a shame since most likely it will just be improvments in graphics/processing and the same arcitecture.
I don't think Nvidia needs to release an updated GPU chip in order for MS to improve the Xbox One X. Indeed it is powerful but the achilles heel is the ancient Jaguar CPU. My Xbox X doesn't hold a candle to my gaming PC with a modern i7 and 1080ti. My PC destroys it in 4k gaming.

As far as backwards compatiblity with next gen, I don't have much hope for Sony, however the Xbox One has an OS with that is based off of Windows 10. I can see them keeping the Xbox family compatible for some time.

Does the Xbox need to replace your PC though? I was a PC gamer for years and years but after getting married and having kids, I now prefer the convenience of a console. My earlier point was that with how powerful the Xbox One X is, if they released a Xbox One X 2 next year with a full 1070 and a better GPU... I still have a 1080p tv, so for me the Xbox One X is already exceeding my console gaming needs so as long as it plays the new games I won't need a new one yet. Now if it's 2021, I'll probably be ready for a new console by then but I'm pretty happy with my Xbox One X right now. I just want a new Halo for it more than a whole new Xbox.

Ubisoft said in an interview that they expect to see one more generation of consoles and that's it. They are betting on cloud streaming. Who knows?

I narrowed down my E3 purchases to GTAV (I haven't played it yet) and Disneyland for the kids. :)

What are all of the Mixer links for?
If you purchase a game off of a Mixer partner you get $5 back though it only qualifies for games they're streaming at the moment. Usually there is like a pink pop up notification under to tell you if it qualifies.

can you purchase with you MS credit? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.

Just noticed that they deposited the $5 from my Arkham Knight purchase through Mixer from a few days ago. Still on the fence about Forza Horizon 2, but it's a good price. Hope the rest of you get your $5 soon.

And people are trying to grab sale games this way for the added money back? Or does it only offer full prices?

Sale games work, I bought Elder Scrolls Online a few days ago since it was $10 and I got my $5 back today, unfortunately there was that day in between where it went to Xbox Games Pass...

Ok, I'm going to go on an old man/parent rant, but after watching the BG&E2 trailer, I couldn't help it.

Don't think of me as a prude.  I grew up in the 80's and 90's and didn't have any adverse effects from violence from games like MK and Doom (back when Congress was investigating).  I don't mind my kids seeing it (well, most of the time - newer MKs are a little too much).  But does every game that is supposed to appeal to me need to have rampant cursing?  Once again, I don't mind it - but it's a little hard to let my kids be around when I play games that have arbitrary cursing in them.

I know there are kid games out there (mine is addicted to Minecraft and Lego games), but I always thought BG&E was a wonderful bridge between family friendly and mature.  My kids loved watching me play through it.  But there's no way I can play BG&E2 with them around because of the randomly filthy-mouthed monkey character.  Is he really necessary?  Couldn't they make up curse words???

I would love it if someone (console manufacturers, publisher, developers - whoever!) would add a filter that would just bleep or garble curse words and could be turned off at a whim.  That way, when the kiddos are around, it's ok for me to enjoy my games.  And when they are out of earshot I can play them with cursing on or whatever.

Just my 2 cents.

Doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I don't need swearing to consider it an adult game, and most of the time it doesn't add anything to the experience for me. My philosophy in real life is about the same, and you'd only really hear me swearing if I were a) really angry and needing an outlet b) drunk (trash talk) or c) had just hit my thumb with a hammer.

Are you referring to one random line where one character says "jack shit". Really?

After reading your rant, I went and rewatched the trailer because I had no recollection of any cursing in the trailer. I expected to hear gratuitous f bombs, etc. I think your statement is a bit of a reach. My 2 cents.

So Battlefront 2...seems like a pretty good price at this point.  I nabbed the first one at around $20 but it seemed to fall pretty quickly after that.  Does anyone think that it may still be in freefall or with the new upcoming content that this is currently a fair price point?  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Roast them on a survey, I had this happen to me getting to buy a figure. Same thing, showed in stock, knew damn well it was being held for an employee. Got to speak with a DM and it was suddenly available for purchase.

Only game I recall having a “mature content filter” was Gears 3. Turned the profanity into radio static and blood into sparks.

Actually kinda entertaining in its own way.

If you like physical copies toys r us has it for $24 if there's still any open near you. Also, I feel like it could be added to EA access soon but I'm not very familiar with how long it takes for games to be added. It may not be immediately but it will drop in price more. Battlefront and the battlefield games have gotten to below $10 each I believe. If you think you'll play it immediately I'd go for it, but if it's going in the backlog I'd wait.

I couldn't find any partners streaming AC Origins, so instead I found a Mixer partner that was just starting their stream for the day, and before they got into the game I asked them nicely if they would change their Direct Purchase link so that I could buy it, and they were happy to.

They did, and it's still set for ACO Gold for now:  https://mixer.com/Caglee

If you're still having trouble finding a streamer that has the game you want, asking them to change their link between matches/downtime might be the best route, as they'll probably be happy to grab a few bucks.

what does it indicate - I have xbox live rewards deposits and miscellaneous credits from Bing. Does it say mixer?
Mine came in as "Xbox Live Rewards Deposit" on my order history page. I also got a message on xbox life from xbox thanking me for purchasing from a mixer partner and that the 5$ was deposited to my account.

As others are saying, no humans are in the game besides other players so I doubt there will be AI companions, either. And I'm doubtful that the game will have an overarching narrative, quests, etc. because there are no NPCs to give them out. Todd Howard did say there'd be terminals, etc. so there will be in-game lore, but I'm guessing this is meant to be a more loosely structured (if structured at all) experience than the other games. Basically a MP survival sandbox using the Fallout IP.
I'd be fine with that as long as most servers are pretty active. This is shades of Star Wars Galaxies on a smaller scale if they get it right. Right up my alley if so.

This rumor suggests the new xbox 'Scarlett' will arrive in 2020 https://www.thurrott.com/xbox/161232/microsofts-next-gen-xbox-will-arrive-2020

French people are different than American

That was my take when BG&E2 was shown: This has nothing to do with the original story, gameplay wise anyways.

Also if your old like me you'll never forget how BG&E1 dropped to $20 at Circuit City two weeks after release. Or was that $10?
