And it also doubles as a metric to figure out 'appropriate' pricing for DLC.

BioWare 2013: "Whoa, look at the number of people that have Saved that previous DLC for purchase later; seems a lot of people really want that Mass Effect 3 DLC when we price it at $9.99. Hmmm.... Let's put the final DLC, Citadel, at $15, instead...."

 
lol, I try to fix my disc drive, now the eject button doesn't work and the disc is just stuck in the console....starting to look like my X purchase will be coming sooner than later

No, nothing to do with low standards. It ran at a pretty steady 30fps for the majority of my 100% playthrough.

The only time it slowed down for me was when I would finish one of those bomb delivery challenges and the final explosion triggered it. I think that's more of an intentional effect, though.

Yes, since yesterday. MS is aware and informed me to try another browser. I usually use IE but tried Chrome today and it worked.
 
My Gold expires today but it won't let me "buy" either game. Tried to add a 14 day code which it took but then never applied to my account. Either I have gold today or I don't MS.

Remember:  the money is auto-deposited in your account now, and expires in 90 days.

Get 'em early if you're interested, though, we've seen the deal end early in past.  "While supplies last."

Some people are saying "wait a few weeks before redeeming this deal, so that the credit expires AFTER the inevitable Black Friday sale."  But be aware there's a chance the deal'll end early before you redeem if you wait.

I Think with this being THQ Nordic or Deep Silver or whatever they're called, a current gen console collection seems inevitable. Just curious how they'll do multiplayer on them and if they'll give all three games splitscreen and/or have 3 as the only one with online or what.

Also I own Second Sight on Gamecube still sealed with bonus disc. Maybe I should finally play it? No idea!

I agree, I somehow passed over these games when I was a teenager, back in the day when I could only afford a few games and had time to play them over and over. Now I can afford multiple games and I have no time to play any of them. Hooray adulthood!?!
 
A few questions for all you good people of this thread, for those of you who have made the switch to a One X.  Do you think the upgrade was worth it?  Is there that much of a noticeable difference between the X and the S?  Do you feel it justified its price?

 
Graveyard Keeper is up on game pass.

Supposedly Stardew Valley like to a T, except you tend a graveyard and other such things.

Gonna give it a whirl over the weekend. Heard good things.

With 4K, HDR, YES! Even without, the loading speed was worth it.

Yes- the 4K, HDR, and loading speeds are fantastic. Only problem I've had with it was some random wifi disconnections and some pairing issues with the Official Kinect Adapter USB cord. But having the Kinect still work is great.

The system is a beaut' and I'm very happy with it

Do you have a decent 4K tv?

Do you have the money to get one without it breaking the bank?

Will you feel more fulfilled knowing you have the option to play the best console version?

I have enjoyed mine for the most part, the HDR implementation makes the bigger difference than 4K IMHO. The PS4 Pro I honestly don’t feel a big difference with, like at all, but the one x does feel quite a bit better than the one s.

Have never heard of this game, but comparisons to Stardew Valley just put it way the hell up on my radar.

I dont have gamepass, so am definitely curious what people think about it.

I got mine a few days ago thanks to the Gamestop trade bonus. I'm on an old 1080p TV, so no 4K or HDR. Even without it, games that have official X support look much better on the new system, and generally load a lot faster. Supersampling from 4k to 1080 still brings a ton of detail out, and games that I noticed jaggies on before have them completely removed since they are now running natively at 1080 or higher, like Overwatch and and ancient stuff like Fallout 3.

I do wish more games had options for either performance or graphics. So far my only game I've installed with it is Witcher 3. I know Monster Hunter has it too. They just announced Shadow of the Tomb Raider has this as an option.

Yes on all counts, but the value question is a tough one since I took advantage of some Gamestop trades to get my X for much less out of pocket than $500. If that won't break you, do it.

It has only been 6 days and I haven't played much other the Forza Horizon 3. I have it connected to TCL 55" P605 and think that game looks noticeably better then it did on the same TV with my S. The details on the cars seem much sharper and more noticeable.

I made a few bucks on the S IRC I paid $189.99 and got $250 for it. Had some Game Stop credit already which helped soften the blow.

Looking forward to playing FH4 on it and the next Gears. Not sure it was worth $220 or so out of pocket for a couple of games. But I have been playing more on XBox lately (over my PS4).

For a straight $500 it probably isn't worth it. But if half that is trading in a year or more old console doesn't seem too bad. You get a free physical game. I took NFL Madden 19. Trades for $30 cash if you are elite. So you could get $30 back pretty quickly. Or a game you might actually want.

I will probably play more cross platform games on XBox One X now though.
