Can those that posted sarcastic gifs tell me what I did that warranted said response? I wasn't bragging in my original post, just stating why I'll have one and how I justified keeping a Switch. Wasn't meant as tootin my own horn, just the events that lead to how I'll own one. Sheesh, with all the off topic stuff, thought I'd share the justification for owning one. Least its game related and not so far into left field like sports or politics.

Expecting the next two or three pages to get scrubbed by mods cause that's how its been since the New Year when we go off topic. Can't even do a giveaway right. I'll stick to X1 posts for the next few weeks

They are just jealous that you have a plan to get profits and use those profits to purchase a switch. They feel like you are exploiting people by giving them the option to buy a console from you at *gasp*, a profit. Don't let them get to you with their silly gifs. I hope this happens too, but not because it flops, but because Nintendo makes enough of them that assholes who snatched up all the preorders can't sell them for more than face value.

I don't know which one is more realistic, but I hope it's the latter.

 
Well son of a bitch.  I was waiting for my XB1S to update to the new dashboard and nothing.  I just checked my old Forza XB1 (that's in the kids' room) and sure enough, that one got the update.  Both consoles are registered for preview too, but only that one got it.  :/

 
I've never cared about resellers, especially when it comes to nintendo. 

for me, nintendo is always at fault, always. the purposely inflate demand by creating a supply shortage at the beginning. same thing for the nes classic, the amiibos, etc.

Well I don't have those Feb. GwG so I'll call it a good lineup. I have Star Wars on PS3 and yeah, it's a good game.

Regarding Nintendo: If I'm going to buy a Switch, it has to include a game. I'll wait and see if they do that with Super Mario Odyssey which, to be honest, I'm more excited about than Breath of the Wild.

I would also buy a Nintendo 3DS if they release a Super Mario Maker bundle (I'm having a blast playing it on Wii U).

 
I bet Rocket League will be a GWG in March. They have all the DLC to sell and I bet physical sales have tapered off. Would give it all a big shot in the arm. Keeps with the recent car theme as well. Maybe Rocket League 2 will be announced at E3 or something.

I'm not sure if it's weekly (I think it is because it's usually the stuff that is on sale) but Rocket League is currently in the number one spot on Top Paid Games, and 11th in Most Played. The cheapest I think it has been on any platform since leaving PS+ is 11.99 a few times on Steam or through Humble Bundle.

I really doubt it will be GWG any time soon. Maybe December or January when Microsoft does their usual attempt at being top tier to impress the new holiday Xboners.

 
Late to the party but I started Titanfall 2 tonight. It is really great and I hope EA sticks with it.  I put over 100 hours into the TF MP but something tells me my twitch skills are too poor for TF2.  I am excited to try though.

I agree. The game is always rocking, no matter what time a day I try playing. Being cross compatible with PC also helps keep the numbers up.

Having put tons of time in to TF and TF2 I think you'll do well if you did well in the original and didn't rely too much on the smart pistol.

This pretty much killed any excitement I had for the NES Classic. Along with the ridicoulously short controller cable.

The only way I'd buy one now is if I pay < $50 for the console + cable extension.

 
Why does the watch_dogs 2 free trial require EA access? It's an Ubisoft game. I assume it's just a glitch because most free trials are through EA access on xbox but this sucks because I wanted to try it out tonight.

(On PS4 at least) it had a maddening glitch where on the final lap the lap counter would get stuck so you couldn't finish. I put 50 hours in before it drove me insane when it happened the 5th time in a long race, and sold it on eBay. Enjoyed it otherwise, but it seemed like the handling was usually a bit "off" of Forza, in a bad way.

I think I have five consoles enrolled in the program, and I'm guessing the two I still have left aren't the ones that were chosen. Time to clean that list up!
 
I wonder if the GWG version of Project Cars would be the GotY edition. Usually they are right? If that's the case I'd assume it's also has the multiple updates that came out for it.

It's not. They want you to buy the dlc for it so it's usually the base version we get. Of course they also never put dlc on sale anymore...

Just tried and you're correct.. lol.

I am holding on my 1 month code since I'm not playing anything EA right now (except for BC2 and Fifa which I own both), no way I use it now for WD2. I'll try to keep it until we're getting closer to Mass Effect's demo

I feel like that's a reasonable kickstarter time. Most kickstarters end up passing their estimates that are less than two years. One project I backed was estimated for July 2016 and isn't out yet, yooka laylee was estimated October 2016 and superhot came out eight months after the estimate. Luckily with Banner Saga, you know they have a good idea of development time since they've made two similar games already.

Ewww. Forced two-screen gameplay is horrible. So annoying having to look back and forth constantly between two screens. If it's a map or inventory that basically works like a pause screen content or if it's asynchronous multi-player gameplay (one on Gamepad, others on screen), it's okay, but give me off-screen only gaming any day of the week.

On the GwG for the month, looking forward to both choices! Have SWFU on Steam, but haven't got to playing it. On XB1 makes it much more likely to be played sooner. ;)
