Played Mirror of Fate on 3ds, was a really great metroidvania title. Been thinking about the 360 version for a while, so finally nabbed it up.

Lego Batman 3 is probably the worst of the Lego Batman games. Lego Jurassic world was more fun IMHO, although you will get sick of the theme music after the first few levels. Both of them get lowered in my book by the fact they have voice acting now. I liked when they relied on animated slapstick to tell the story. I do think Lego Harry Potter series is my personal favorite out of all of them. Neither are like Lego Island at all unfortunately. Miss that game, we need another one for sure!

So is the digital deluxe Xcom 2 really only 20.3 GB like the website says or is there a massive update on top of that? That's awesome if true and may sway me to get it since my digital gaming life revolves around a shitty data cap.

Yeah Codemasters made DiRT Rally to be an authentic no nonsense, bare bones rally game sponsored by crowd funding and I think there's a crowd for it as it was funded and well received from the diehards. They did say they'll be bringing a Rally School feature to DiRT 4 to teach you all about the moves you'd need like the Scandinavian Flick, etc. I haven't played Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO.

From what I remember, the Budokai HD Collection is fine aside from the removal of the original's plagiarized music. The music difference is really noticeable, but otherwise they're fine.

Haven't played Ultimate Tenkaichi yet, can't help there. I don't even own Battle of Z, but to the best of my knowledge, it's basically a prototype of Xenoverse.

In an extremely shocking bit of news: the Forza Horizon Xbox 360 in-game Marketplace is finally working (in limited capacity) for Season Pass holders. If you have the Pass, go to the in-game Marketplace and then Cars and download the free rally car. You'll then get a pop up to download the Rally Expansion and it actually works this time! Downloaded it and played it yesterday. Looks like the DLC cars can't be DL'ed or purchased, but just having the Rally Exp. working again is truly a miracle. Not sure how long this will be up, so get it while you can.

I played the demo a while back and it seems to be more like the WRC games. So at $10 I cannot say no to another Rally game!

I'm playing Dirt Rally now and it's maybe my 2nd least favorite game in the series. That's mostly due to the difficulty and that it lacks the feeling of progression as you finish rallies.

Dirt Rally always feels like the road is about 30% too barrow and you've selected the wrong tires (despite that not being a feature).

However the game looks beautiful and the cars sound amazing.

Ultimately, I passed on the digital version of Asura's Wrath.  I already own the disc, but it's not the type of game that I would enjoy enough to replay since I couldn't figure out what was going on the first time I played it.  I went with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 since GameStop is charging $19.99 for the preowned Xbox 360 and PS3 discs.  I believe I have the first game in my backlog somewhere, so I will likely play that one first.  And I got the Balls of Steel and Alien pinball packs.  Now, those will actually get played!

 
So I ended up picking up the entire DMC, dead island and saints row series amongst others to add to my list of games I'll never play. On the bright side I suppose there are more expensive hobbies to be addicted to... like coke and crack.

To be honest a lot if not most of the games I wanted have gone on sale. Ended up filling up the 500gb harddrive on my newly acquired one s in less than a week and that doesn't even include the 200-300gb from the halo, gears and gta that came with the system ! Thank god for external hardrives!

Speaking of rewards. I'm new to the whole rewards thing. Did I see a reward for playing lovers in a dangerous spacetime or am I imagining things? I might jump in on that if so.

PS took one for the team and picked up Asura's Wrath as well. Will be nice to do that one last final blind play through for the even 1000gs now that I haven't played it in awhile.

At this point my money is definitely on EA and Rockstar, they seem to be the two most consistent publishers recently. Which is great because both of them still have some good games in waiting.

I'd call it a wash. Xcom 2 throws tougher enemies at you sooner than EU/EW, but you start missions in stealth, have more choices on the strategy layer, and there are a number of cheap, early technologies that really help (flashbangs and mimic beacons come to mind). The classes in 2 are better balanced and there are far fewer broken or worthless skills and builds, which is more newbie friendly. There's also an easy difficulty and you can always save scum your way to victory.

My biggest piece of advice is to use explosives to destroy cover and butter up tougher enemies, just try to avoid killing aliens or blowing up bodies/scrap unless you're playing Classic+ in which case confirmed kills are higher priority than resources.

I am guessing this is going to be a free download like NBA 2K17's 'The Prelude' was.

Makes sense as EA stated they were bringing Live back - for some reason.
