Forza Horizon is finally down to the BF price of last year! Only took them 11 months.

Either way, if you're an arcade racer fan, definitely pick it up. I wasn't a fan of the original Forza series(not a sim-racing fan) but this one surprised me.

As for me, I can finally pick up the remaining DLC for Most Wanted :D

They actually dropped it to $15 back in July.
The disc version was $9.99 at Newegg just couple weeks ago. I missed it so I guess I'll take $15 digital version since I have expiring converted money thanks to MS. Who'd thought money has expiration.

I noticed on the OP that Prey is going to be on sale for 75% off next week. How is it and does it hold up well still (graphics/gameplay)?

P.S. Anyone wanna take a shot at what next month's games will be?  :whee:

I bought it during last sale and imo gameplay holds up pretty well. It's a pretty cool shooter with puzzles integrated into the gameplay. Just it's too easy... you can't actually die. 22 chapters that run 10-20 min each and a straightforward 1000g, You could probably find a copy at GS for $2 though.

I absolutely despise Bethesda for killing off Prey 2, which looked nothing like Prey but the initial concepts were amazing.

Thanks, I guess I'll probably skip then. Save my money for something else :bouncy:

I read this in x360a's news section.

29-Oct to 4-Nov

Dead Island Riptide - 50% off
Dead Island Riptide Fashion Victim - 50% off
Dead Island Riptide Survivor Pack - 50% off
Dead Island - 50% off
Prey - 75% off
The Darkness - 75% off
The Darkness II - 75% off

Dead Island Riptide is $39.99 right now. I'm guessing it'll be $19.99 during the sale. I don't know if it's worth it at that price or not.

Is there any reason for someone who is generally a NON-racing gamer to bite on NFS or Forza? I generally don't do racing games, so I'm asking out of genuine curiosity.

I love forza horizon..

the reason.. it isn't super complex...(neither is nfs) but it can be complex if you really want it to be..... it has alot of variety of tracks and cars... and the best feature... you can rewind time... (I don't think NFS can rewind time, idk remember though...)

but yeah... rewinding time is awesome... you get in a crash, rewind... there is a long straight away just before the finish line, and as you are racing down it the guy in 2nd flies past you... rewind time! you can go back just a second or so, to llike...idk 30 seconds back.... which is cool......

it is a really pretty world with a nice variety of races... and the as you explore the open world. it feels less and less like you are just "selecting tracks" to race...

i didn't like the music.. mostly... so i leave sound effects on and music off and just play some music on my pc....

Sanctum of Slime worth $2.49? And I'm old enough but I have honestly never seen the movies other than clips so I'm not a Ghostbusters fan.

I dont usually post in this thread, but this statement warrants it.

You need to see Ghostbusters.

The only reason I wouldnt recommend it to someone is if they were like 12 with no appreciation for movies from the 80s.

Im only in my 20s, and someone not having seen the is just beyond absurd. A classic in every sense of the word

Who you gonna call?

Speaking of Forza, does anyone have the link to the list of stuff installed when you install the DLC disc from the Ultimate Edition of Forza 3?

thoughts on Walking Dead: 400 days? Have yet to play through the main game and had not even heard of a separate DLC episode.
It's a very short episode, just like a promo. Should've been 200MSP in the first place or just free as a prelude to de second season.

It's weird that it has to be played through the first season episode, since it has nothing to do with it. All the characters appearing are from the next one.

The base game code (menus....etc) is in the first episode, so you need it to "boot up" the dlc. This a technical requirement since it's not a standalone dlc, not something they put in there for story purposes.

a straightforward 1000g,
Straightforward? :whee:

Someone forgot about the multiplayer acheivements. :whee: Good luck finding someone to play this with. :whee: :whee: :whee:

I have two friends with this game, they don't even want to boost it with me. :whee: I'm sitting at 750G (I beat it on Cherokee).

That's why you have sites like TrueAchievements and x360a to find people to boost with LOL.

So 400 days isn't connected to the main games story at all? It thought that I had read otherwise when it came out
Haven't played it yet, but from reading a few parts in the achievement guide (missable achievements) it sounds like it does connect with the main story at least a little bit.
I think it said (Not 100% sure, this was when 400 came out) one of the main story characters show up. Your choices from the main story determine which one.

As far as I remember, it's not connected at all, aside that it takes place in the same world. It wouldn't be strange for a character from the main season to appear, as a cameo. But I don't remember it.

The only connection I saw in the episode was meeting up with an old friend on the side of the road, but she didn't have much to say. This thing was so short, surprised it wasn't $2 or free.

Ah! Ok, I know which character you mean. I should play again that episode, and yeah, 200MSP or free, it's not a complete episode after all, just a promo imo.

400 Days was not THAT short.  I didn't time my own playthrough, but it felt like it was just a little bit shorter than one of the series episodes. I think it may have felt a lot shorter because the pacing is pretty quick in each of the vignettes. I didn't regret the $5 I spent when it first came out.

You're basically deciding who will be in your crew for Season Two. If you want to learn more about the characters you may be working with in Season Two and have some agency with who goes where, grab it.

The multiplayer is pretty quick though. Did it a while ago and I think myself and another got it done in three hours give or take.

Also, technically speaking, you can die in Prey. Granted, it's only for the first 4 chapters or so. Just throwing that out there.

I know huh? Super annoying. Just another reason I've avoided this thread after the stupid MS bannings. Every page is overkill and makes me miss the old guards who are gone now.

On topic: just another two weeks of crap being released again. Cept for 400 days; props to those who were patient enough to pick up this gem now(which, imo was like 2 hrs long compared to the other episodes which were 2-3 hrs).

Developers need to be more flexible for their multiplayer DLC... Halo 3's multiplayer requires all the DLC for "Big Team Social"... is it too hard to make odd days for plebs and then even days as "all DLC required?"

I'm assuming that the Shocktober deals will change on Tuesday.

I doubt that they would only discount 3 games or so for Halloween.
Actually I remember the halloween sale last year being similar. I was reminded when I saw the section on my xbox. It was pretty similar to last year with a ton of stuff on there for halloween but only a tiny amount of games discounted.

No deal on it, but how to survive released yesterday on XBLA and the game is pretty awesome.

Its very simple (like 5~ different mobs) but a ton of crafting/weapons and crap.

its feels like minecraft meets left 4 dead meets state of decay or something.

Has co-op which was the big seller for me

I used to buy every Halo FPS game at release since the first one. The campaign and multiplayer (I even played Combat Evolved over a LAN) were well worth the price to me.

I had bought Halo 3 full price but didn't get around to trying to play some multiplayer until after the map packs had been released. Once I saw that I was blocked from going to play online, even to play the campaign cooperatively, I immediately traded it in. Ever since then I've only bought Halos after they've been deeply discounted.

Well, it's Halo, so they can pretty much do whatever the flip they want ;)

I do agree with you though, having gotten the game a good while after release and not being able to play most modes until I picked up ODST, it was rather annoying.

Out of all those, I'm only really interested in Red Dead Redemption. I would consider buying it if it's 50% at least.

I really hope the deals don't change on Tuesday, just the new ones get added on top because I want to get 400 days but won't have access to my 360 until Thursday at the earliest.
