  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Blood Dragon was $1 cheaper back in early December. Haven't played it but it was probably worth that price and this as well.

Spec Ops hmmmm. And feeling conflicted on Xcom vanilla. Within contains the original game and dlc but cannot run the vanilla version without the changes so there is still incentive to keep the disc of the regular xcom.

Is burial at sea worth the discount? Critics weren't very impressed apparently.

I think the Deluxe DLC pack has been cheaper before, at least, I'd like to think I paid less than $5 for it. It *might* be worth $2.50, as the Monkey Business missions are ok, just nothing is what I would label substantial. The description makes it sound like you're getting a fair bit of content, but it's really just a few odds and ends other than the four Monkey Business missions. If you've never played the game before, you might get more from it, but if you've played and beat it, you will breeze through it.

Blood Dragon - while repetitious after a few hours - is worth $5.

Spec Ops has a terrific thought-provoking storyline, which - to me - is the main selling point. The gameplay, while it didn't set any new standards, serves the story well.

Having played Enemy Unknown at launch and Enemy Within during the holidays this year, I'd recommend either for anyone interested. I haven't played too many tactics games, but it's easy to pick up and get into. You will lose some resources as you figure out the game, but I never thought it was unfair (on Normal). Enemy Within does add the DLC, some new missions, and new resources, but I didn't think the game was drastically different. If you have the choice and Enemy Within isn't too much more (I paid $25 during Black Friday), I'd go with Enemy Within, just to see and do everything.

It's alright, but it did have one of the best glitches I've ever encountered in a game. One of the missions I was suppose to tail someone and all was going fine, until that car somehow going at the speed of 30mph was able to knock over a police car infront of it and kinda blocked itself in. The cop got out of the car and immediately arrested the guy and I failed the mission. When I replayed it again there no police car.

 
And for anyone wondering, the PS3 and 360 version of XCOM: Enemy Within comes with BOTH XCOM: Enemy Unknown and the Slingshot DLC. The only problem is that there is no separate achievement list for them and the DLC so majority of them are centered around Enemy Within's story and multi.

Really wish the season pass for Bioshock Infinite was on sale instead the pieces alone. Guess it has to be one or the other.

Probably going to jump on Spec Ops based on what I've heard.

Good price on Far Cry 3, but since I already beat it I think I'll wait for the disc version to go sub $10 again before picking it back up.

To add, the achievements for Enemy Within are related to the new aspects of EW (medals, resources/units) and the new missions (which may include Slingshot, I never played it as separate DLC). I don't recall achievements in EW related to story progression and there is little (if any) overlap between achievements for EU and EW.

 
whoa. I just picked up the 2K triple pack with Spec Ops, Borderlands 2, and Mafia 2 a few days before Christmas for $20. I guess 2K says that if they can't get you to buy all three, then maybe they'll woo you with one. I guess I'll finally grab Minerva's Den as well. Time to see what all of the fuss is about.

I finally was able to get a free copy of Sleeping Dogs after some initial worry that I'd be charged for it, so I'm happy. I just need to download all the games I purchased over the past month and I'll be set.

Far Cry: Blood Dragon is really tempting, as I've heard great things about it, and I'm a sucker for 1980s throwbacks. I'll have to look at the sales for next week and see if the price is right.

 
Just picked up Spec Ops. I kinda want Far Cry 3 again, but I've already beaten it. I was hoping it would be cheaper. You're breaking my balls Microsoft.

I'm cautious about Mafia 2. Not sure I would like it. Spec Ops might be the only game I jump on after all.

Blood Dragon is worth your money in my opinion. You need to experience it.
 
Well, since I missed out on Blood Dragon previously, on account of my 360 being out of commission, I'll take it for $5.  Sadly, that leaves me with just 2.xx, and spending real face-value cash isn't something I prefer to do on digital.

 
Even though Duke Nukem was a completely shitty game, I really wish they would add the dlc on sale cause I need to finish the game.

DAMN IT! that is really annoying that they discounted the WWE season pass so fast now I regret buying it at full price since the WWE Season pass usually takes a year to go on sale or they don't go on sale at all.

I'm glad I'm not the only one tempted to pick up Far Cry 3 again. Still, the disc copy has hit $10 a few times so I can probably wait for that again.

 
How's the Joe's Adventure Mafia II DLC? I loved the base game when I played it back in the day, but I feel stupid paying $5 for the DLC when it's the same price as the game.

Just get the game. Unless the DLC is 75% off, just pass on it.

 
I am tempted to pick up Bioshock 1 & 2 but I've never played either of those. $5 seems like a good price to jump into the series.

Also thinking about Mafia 2, I don't know how it holds up though (or how all three games hold up).

Although I do have $15, I could pick up all of them, but I don't know how I feel about it.

 
So it's been a while since I checked this thread, what's the reason for it changing hands yet again? Not that it's a bad thing, Bloomy has always been spot on so he's definitely a great person to take over the thread.

All man pick those two titles up asap!!!! By far my favorite series from this current gen

 
Mafia 2 is great. Especially the achievement for surviving 10 minutes when the cops want you dead. One of my faves.

I (along with pretty much everyone I know) recommend the first Bioshock. Excellent story, interesting world, and great gameplay. I barely started the second one, so I can't say much about it.

 
I was hoping Minerva's Den would go on sale again. When it last went on sale I hadn't played Bioshock 1 yet, so I wasn't in any rush to buy dlc for Bioshock 2.

The season pass for Bioshock Infinite at it's regular price is a better value than it's single piece add-ons at these sale prices, so I'll pass on Clash in the Clouds and Burial at Sea 1. Columbia's Finest isn't included with the season pass, so I might pick that up. If it's just equipment to make the game easier I might pass on it as well.

I'd like to 100% Duke Nukem Forever, but I'll hold out until the dlc goes on sale.

I wasn't interested in Mafia II, but that will make me look up the game. That sounds like what I did with GTA III. I would get my wanted level up high in the first section, then try to make it to the third section

 
I wish Duke Nukem 3-D was on sale instead. If I had more hard drive space, I would get Duke Nukem Forever.

That being said, how are Far Cry Instincts Predator (is this the first game?) and Far Cry 2?  I have Blood Dragon which I liked.
