  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

It's decent, felt like a typical twin stick shooter. I never did finish it though. It never sucked me in and I eventually lost interest in playing it.
 
Good picks this round. 3 months in a row of games I don 't actually own (considering I traded in Dead Island lol) so I'm quite happy about these picks. Disappointing the X1 Games with Gold is still yet another month off, but hopefully it happens by E3.

 
Of course I have both. I think my best month was this past March since I didnt own neither Civ Rev or DD, for a total of 4 games 'brand new' from GwG program. Yeeei :wall:

Well, so it's official then. I'm glad to be able to play Hitman Absolution for free. I wonder if they'll put on sale some of it's DLC's.

It was pretty easy and the length was perfect for that kind of game (I wouldn't like to play that game more hours). I expected the first part to be good and the other 2/3 of the game to be worse, like people said constantly. But it didn't happen. All the game is more or less the same, and if you like the first part I find difficult for you not to enjoy the rest. I didn't like the game too much, but I didn't expect more of it, and the price was right.

I found that $4 was the ideal price for it, though free is better, of course. Free is unbeatable unless they pay you to play it.

EDIT: MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT DEADLIGHT

Didn't know that the game had an alternative ending for it's PC version.

Hmmmm.  Not too jazzed about either title but, free I guess.  Hitman will end up on my HD probably.  I may never even download Deadlight though, I just don't see myself ever getting to it.

 
When it comes to Hit Man I'm not a fan of the series but $0 is the right price to get me to give it another shot. At least it's the right genre for me unlike this past month.

 
Those new or skeptical on hitman, play through on easy. It's very forgiving and for someone who's doesn't have the patience for stealth games that was nice.

I'll complain that I paid $3 for it 2 weeks ago when it was on sale at MS Store grrrr, but the actual game is great. It is just begging for Assassin's Creed style multiplayer, which will probably be added in the next game (if there is another one).

Hitman (and every stealth game I play) usually starts off with me being stealthy and playing the game "right". After 30-40 minutes of doing that, I get spotted. I try to run, but get killed. The next time I only use guns right from the start and finish the level in 5 minutes. Although Hitman does have more fun ways to kill people if you stay in stealth, so that encourages you to play stealth.

HD versions of the older games might go on sale (if they are available GoD). I would be cautious about getting them. They didn't age well in my opinion. Every Hitman game is pretty similar, but builds on from the previous game. Newest version  is the best.

I'm thinking I may end up trying to 100% it so I'll have to play on Hard anyways. Anyone who's played it on that difficulty would you say its frustrating or rage inducing?
 
This month is more like what GWG should be.  Well known games that are not super old but old enough that those who really wanted them have bought them long ago.  As for the actual titles though they both were huge disappointments for me.  The only good thing about Deadlight is you will easily beat it and max out the achievements in 3-4 hours.  Hitman I would consider a good game if I had no other Hitman games to compare it to but since this game was put out after Blood Money I was hugely disappointed in it.

 
Ugh, well at least I'll be able to get some of the multiplayer achievements on Hitman now that my friends will play it. It's really a fantastic game and the best in the series. I'm bummed they never released DLC levels for it though.

Pretty sure most, if not all, of the online achievements can be earned on your own. Just use a silver account; it doesn't need access to Gold (trial or otherwise) at all. The achievements are asynchronous (you don't have to be online at the same time as the silver account). I think that's what I did because I bought it before anyone on my friends list, completed it, then traded it in.

Damnit, I have Deadlight too (it's a good game for free). There hasn't been a single game they've offered this year that I didn't already own (aside from owning Sleeping Dogs from my friend in Hungary).

I wonder what Brazil is getting this month. Perfect Dark? Nuts and Bolts? Viva Pinata?

The urge to "move to Brazil" for Tooie gets ever stronger, if Brazil gets a replacement for any of these two with something better, I'm going for it.

My reaction to the GwG announcement for April is same as it always is, meh. At least now they're getting more "current" games and ones that aren't packed with DLC, but this program just serves as me having digital back ups of the disc games I own.

 
I grabbed Deadlight during the Christmas sale. It's only the 3rd game I've played/owned so I'm just going to move it to the top of the backlog and beat it before it becomes free. Not sure why, but that will make me feel a little better for buying it. Not really upset since it was less than 4 bucks.

And I'm excited to get Hitman. It's the type of game that I'd never spend money on but definitely will try for free. I'm a fan of this month's GWG.
 
Am kind of suprised they still haven't started the Xbox One GwG to try to at least say they have something since PS+ has been on PS4 for a while now.

Crimson Dragon and Lococycle, for instance, can't still be selling that well (probably mostly day one buyers who wanted something else to play). I never got them, but would give them a shot for free.
 
Well I got the Hitman from its last sale, but Deadlight is new for me. One must view all sales with suspicion going forward that they may end up free on GWG....the urge to hoard must be balanced with the thrill of buying on the cheap.
Of course date night with XBLDB is upon us again any swami like predictions?
 
I'm almost certain Microsoft constantly looks at my gamercard and chooses two random games I've played/completed, and picks them as the GwG.
 
I Don't know, have we sunk low enough? Usually when XBox gives us weeks of terrible repeat deals (Bioshock and Red Dead again!? You shouldn't have!), they suddenly bounce back with a "good" sale. Though GTA hasn't gone on sale yet amongst all the 2K offerings so...

 
Aren't we due for a "Spring Sale" sometime very soon? 

I have a feeling we'll see some Bethesda game sale in the not too distant future.

 
First, "Tomb Raider and the Guardians of Light." Followed by "Dungeon Defenders." Now, "Hitman: Absolution." 

I think Microsoft hates consumers that own both a 360 and a PS3, more than the consumers that only own a PS3.

You mean simply just a Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls sale, because the people who own the vanilla copy of New Vegas gotta squirm still.

A buddy of mine finally took the leap with GTA V because he found it for $40 at BB.

Just a quick reminder that this is also the last day to get Pac-Man Museum's Ms. Pac-Man DLC for free. It should go up to $5 after today, so be sure to grab it if you think you might have any interest at all in Pac-Man Museum. It's not necessary to own Pac-Man Museum to download the DLC.
