  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I'm guessing it's just too much trouble to try to keep shoehorning features into the limited memory space and horsepower of the last-gen consoles. I mean 512M of RAM would be ridiculous in a PC these days. Hell my video card alone has 4 times that. :)

On the Xbox One trials fusion had a try it free button I remember so this might just be that. Got it anyway, gonna see what downloads.

Confirmed that it's the Trials trial.

Source: Have the game installed from the disc version which I just traded and it pops up a screen about the trial.

If the game's on sale I'll happily buy it since I just traded it for $19 hoping it would go on sale soon.

So I cancelled the download after I saw that it was the trial, still new to the One, does that mean all the data was cleared off the storage?

And now it looks like it's always going to say Ready to Install off to the side of my games, is there a way to clear that?

Nope, I don't joke about such things. So unfortunately, that is the gold deal. And once again, the sale prices are still on the high side for most of the games.

 
Damn... 13.xx isn't too bad for the full game, though. May just end up buying it. Amazon is still selling disc copy for 39.99... Was there an MSRP drop that just hasn't hit yet?
