'Splosion Man is one of the few games considered to be really great that I just couldn't get into. I was probably being too harsh there but I just found the game to be really, really, really dull. However, Ms. 'Splosion man on the other hand seemed to click with me. Perhaps she's just a better character. Whatever it is I'll probably buy it when it goes on super sale for less than 400 points.

'Splosion Man is one of only a couple games I tend tofuck on so don't worry too much about me being a hater of all things. Might as well throw it out there now: Limbo is also highly overrated. I like the atmosphere and the mood and everything but it's also just soo boring. I still like it better than 'Splosion Man but still, it's in the same overrated for reasons beyond me camp.

Anyone wanna vouch for Sega Rally Online Arcade? I tried the demo & it was decent. Also, there's an avatar award, which is a nice bonus.

I'm getting it when it goes on sale. The demo, despite being one freaking lap, was solid and I feel that I can easily get $5 worth of entertainment out of it.

I will say it is fun game! Get it while it is on sale! and it's much better than sega rally revo (I think that's the name)

And easy 200/200 if you care about that!

I'm sorry. Is it just me or Traitor's Pack DLC shows up full price for me. Is it a must-have (I only play Fable in single player story mode)?

yeah it was a one day deal or like joey pointed out before maybe a small preview of next week's microsft fan apperication sale. Haopefully the other Crackdown 2 Deluge dlc and the other fable 3 dlc get discounted.

For the record, Outrun Online Arcade seems to just be Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast but with most of the content hacked off. I'm not a huge Outrun fanatic but the simple joy and tight mechanics of drifting in it are great.

If you were lucky enough to get Outrun 2006 on Steam or a boxed copy then you're in luck.

I see how you could find splosion man boring, there is some repetitiveness there. I never found limbo boring, but it did receive so much hype and praise that there was no way it could ever live up to it. I really enjoy both games, but id never question anyone's opinion about a game if they rationally defend their opinion about it, like most cags do.

While we're on the topic, I really don't like trials HD. Its hard, repetitive, and boring to me. I get no fulfillment from completing a level, just total frustration from playing it over and over. I'm glad I got that one 66% off.

You've basically got it with 'Splosion Man. Maybe the game needed better variety or something. After just a handful of levels I didn't feel it was worth any more of my time.

I think my issue with Limbo is that the pacing is really slow. I realize that's part of the theme for the game but it just didn't work for me the way I wanted it to. I was actually anticipating the game expecting it to be cool, but there was just something about it that was off for me.

In the end both these games aren't really bad games per se. Just don't fit my taste. I've always considered myself to have a vary wide area of enjoyment when it comes to games but every now and then I find something I just don't care for.

As for Trials HD, I enjoyed the very little time I spent with it. It mucked around with it briefly when I bought it and put it in the backlog probably never to be played again. It's definitely fun but I don't want to hang in there until it becomes a frustrating nightmare so I bailed after a few levels. Probably shoudn't have bought the DLCs for it but I'd like to think I will go back someday...

Also, don't get me started on Comic Jumper. I HATED that game but that hate was warranted. The game sets out to frustrate you the minute you begin playing with inadequate controls, sparse checkpoints, and really cheap enemies. The game is visually good and the change up of the gameplay styles was a great idea to keep the game fresh but the aforementioned issues overwhelm these positives.
I'll say it again: Custom Soundtracks! Are! Better! Than! The Original! Sorry, I had to get some exclamation marks out of my system.
Disagree.

I liked comic jumper, probably because I built it up in my mind way too much and had to justify the $15 I paid for it. It looks great and I found it really funny, but the gameplay is most definitely lacking in a lot of ways.
you can get the arcade compilation disc with 5 arcade games for $3 at GS. Uno is part of the 5 and feeding frenzy is to ( great game).

Heres the link just in case- http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/games/arcade-compilation-disc/74497
THANK YOU! Wow I knew I had Uno on Xbox, but I logged in last night and checked my games and it wasn't there. I couldn't believe it. I was SURE I had it! It was just weird...

I totally forgot about that compilation disc til now!

SEGA.com is claiming there's a few other games that will be on sale next week in addition to the other ones listed in the OP:

http://blogs.sega.com/2011/11/16/were-thankful-for-sales-on-psn-and-xbla/

Starting November 22 and lasting through November 28 Xbox Live Arcade players worldwide can be thankful for six select SEGA titles on sale for 50% off their usual prices:

Crazy Taxi: 400 Microsoft Points
SEGA Rally Online Arcade: 400 Microsoft Points
Streets of Rage 2: 200 Microsoft Points
OutRun Online Arcade: 400 Microsoft Points
Happy Tree Friends: 400 Microsoft Points
Phantasy Star 2: 200 Microsoft Points

Too bad my Xbox copy of Outrun C2C doesn't work on my 360. Oh how I wish MS continued updating BC, but it is all about the $.

I would suggest getting the Sega Superstars Tennis / Arcade Compilation because it costs exactly the same at gamestop. Unless you already have Sega Tennis and don't like those dual game cases.

While we're pooping on Comic Jumper I'm going to fling some dung on it as well. It's my most regretted purchase on Xbox Live and I only paid 400 for it. The game just fucking sucks.
Disagree.
Aww, come on. First off, anybody who actually likes Offspring and Bad Religion should own at least one of each band's CDs. Second, the original Crazy Taxi only has a few songs and they repeat super-frequently. But rip a minimum of two CDs to your hard drive, and suddenly you have like 5X as much music to Crazy Taxi by - from the same bands! Heck, I could rip all jillion of Bad Religion's CDs if I wanted to - or just the good ones. That's a small tradeoff for not having the exact same song play every time you start the game.

Uno is one of the few XBLA games I have regretted buying (Turtles in Time Re-Shelled and Zombie Apocalypse are the others if you must know). I wouldn't have been able to recommend it even at 200 points.

Comic Jumper was pretty god awful gameplay-wise, but the humor barely made it passable.
Why the heck not? It's an authentic recreation of Uno with online play. It doesn't do anything wrong other than have crappy elevator music. I'm pretty sure the Uno card game costs $5 in stores, so it's not like the XBLA price is jacked up...

Were the Black Friday one-day sales last year Gold Exclusive?

Also does anyone think Crysis will go on sale in the next six months?

yeah I admittedly didn't beat Splosion Man, but I put about an hour-2 into it and just got bored, I don't exactly know why, I just didn't like it.

as for this 2k sale... I'm still tempted to get Minerva's Den, but it's been on sale so many other times and I held off, at this point I'm waiting for more than a 50% discount... probably won't happen, but whatever.

the only things I'm actually tempted to buy in this sale are the Borderlands bandit mask and Bioshock big daddy helmet, just cus 80 msp is so cheap. gonna try to hold off on those too though. black friday/cyber monday is so close... and then christmas/holiday sales, need to save points

Is it possible to purchase things (XBLA Games) from the Microsoft/Xbox website?

I don't feel like dragging my 360 home for Thanksgiving break, but I might want to take advantage of some of the sales.

Of course. Why do you think we post weblinks in the first post and such?

Eastx is lying. You better start investing in a really long ethernet cord.

You also need to petition Bluffton, South Carolina to rename themselves Bluffington, honk honk.
Of course. Why do you think we post weblinks in the first post and such?
Hmm  so I just purchase online via MS points on my account balance, download later?
Hmm  so I just purchase online via MS points on my account balance, download later?
Yup. That's how it works. Once you turn your Xbox on after the purchase(s), the download will start. Easy peasy.

Foiled again! Also, I can't believe you missed another Scott Pilgrim sale. Maybe they'll put it on sale again around Xmastime (the official holiday of the X-Men).

If it was an arcade game I would say yes, but since it is a game on demand I would not expect one. However, it's not impossible. We have seen a lot more game on demand games on sale lately.

Excellent thanks so much guys! Super fast responses :D

how's the lost and the damned? is it worth buying at this price (haven't played gta in forever)? Also, how big is it (i have a small hard drive). would it be better to find a cheap version of the disc, so that I can get both dlc (the other one is still a little pricey)?

uh....anyone play Game Room recently? I'm getting soft locks everytime I boot it up. I deleted the game, patches and everything. I sunk too much money in this shit and I'm really regretting it now.

Maaaaan I hope the Mega Man games end up being part of the upcoming sales. I'm in need for some nostalgic 8-bit leaderboard ownage!

Anyone think mafia 2 is good at $14 ive wanted to play that game but ive never bought a game on demand before...not sure if its worth it, or if i should go the used disc route

Yes, Bad Religions 80-85, Suffer, Against the grain, and stranger than fiction. The bestest. Add some older guttermouth, nofx, pennywise, offspring, and you got a good crazy taxi soundtrack.

I would have bought The Ballad of Gay Tony if it were 800 msp. I already have TLaD so buying Episodes from Liberty CIty is out of the question.

You know what is funny, i passed on crazy taxi sales in the past just because the soundtrack was different. hmm.. maybe not this time.

But, you wouldn't hear the sound of the game, car/passengers, etc, if you played your tunes.
Anyone think mafia 2 is good at $14 ive wanted to play that game but ive never bought a game on demand before...not sure if its worth it, or if i should go the used disc route
i would go disc only because you can resell once you are done and it can be had for cheap.

edit: but, I prefer physical copies of games. So that might be why I would recommend. I don't buy on demand titles, just arcade. I would have loved it if RE Code Veronica and RE4 was on disc in the US. I just hope it goes on sale one of these days. I own them already but would love a playthrough on the box.

I found it more enjoyable than the full game. Worth the 5 dollars I spent on it. 5 dollars seem to be the magic number for the cheap gamer inside of me...if it is more than 400 points (with the exception of a code I bought for Battlefield 1943), I won't get it.

No dude, custom soundtracks just replace the music, not all of the audio. You'll still hear voices and sound effects.

Bad Religion-wise, I also highly enjoy The Process of Belief in addition to the older stuff. The last two albums have been a big letdown though. The other bands MasterMeatWad mentioned are also cool. :)
