Picked up ITSP (and Bastion on it's one day sale) .. still undecided on Renegade Ops, with the possibility of some good EA sales, probably just going to save my points since I'm sure Renegade Ops will come back on sale before I actually play it. Tempted to pick up NFL Blitz when it releases, too. Looks fun, always enjoyed it on the Dreamcast too.
As one of the few people who actually buys games on demand i approve this message...i get my points cheap so that usually balances out the high GoD prices and i like not having to change the discs, especially since ME2 on xbox is 2 discs. The only multi-disc GoD game that I can think of is LA Noire and that's probably largely due to it's unique structure. Other multi-disc games probably require more work to get put on the service. The PS3 versions don't have any disc swapping built in so they can probably just repackage the files and put it up for sale.

Ugh! Last minute waffling on BloodRayne. I haven't heard much positive about it but for some reason I'm still itching to pull the trigger. I get the feeling it will drop lower so I'm hesitant to put it in the backlog.

I'm a big fan of Bloodrayne Betrayal. Great Music. Kinda reminds me of Symphony of the Night. Grab it for 600 points. I paid 1200 points back when it first came out and I dont regret it. Well worth it.

Yeah, that sucks ass. I'm still holding out hope that they post some SLC in the next half hour.

I hope that's just the GoD portion of the sale and the dlc and arcade stuff will be dropping soon! Hopefully

where do you get your points from?
If those are the only things on sale they should be ashamed to even call it a sale.
I hope not.. I would love to see crysis or nba jam..
where do you get your points from?
I get mine half price from microsoft expertzone, you have to work with a microsoft partner though so I usually don't mind getting GoD either.
Don't think I'll be wasting any money for what is on sale yet though.

If those are the only things they're putting on sale then I can breathe easy after spending about 5880 points in the past two weeks. Though I doubt it's that easy...

I wouldn't buy EA games on sale because they don't come with the required online pass in order to play multiplayer with them. Really shitty IMO.

I would expect more from the EA sale, and those might not be sale items. They may be the recently reduced for Jan 2012.

That's kinda what I've been thinking. Love me some MetroidVania games but I did just scoop up ITSP which is definitely going to be higher on the backlog pile.

this can't be real?

i started twisted planet today. i just beat twisted planet today. in about 3-4 hours. the fuck? i knew it was short, but i wont be paying more than 5$ if they ever make a sequel, especially if this is the amount of playtime that they are willing to push for 15$. if they were able to double the playtime and advance some of the better ideas used in the first game, then i'll support them at full price for the sequel

no , you could play online i bought bad company 2 last week , no pass needed .
no , you could play online i bought bad company 2 last week , no pass needed .
Does the game allow you to double dip and buy the pass on accident?

Bad company 2 never required an online pass as far as I know.

I bought it and played the first stage, not impressed at all.

I'm so tempted to buy hot pursuit at $25. I mean, 20 would be ideal but no disc means I'll save space and it's a game I'd keep and not resell. But can anyone confirm if the online pass is included? it's a pain to "borrow" one from gamestop :(

ok fair enough, i though you were talking about a site or something.

i have a question about games with online passes.
for games that require an online pass on disc, would they still need an online pass for the games on demand?

No online pass is needed for a games on demand version of a game. Online passes were implemented to fight used games sales. You are buying a new version of the game when you buy a games on demand copy. Enjoy!

I see no reason why the online pass would not be included, buying a new disc copy is the same buying it as a download..if not i would i complain like hell to EA.
I got a ton of ms points and the cheapest I can find me2 is 19.99 free ms points or cash cheap ass gamer for a reason
Hehehe I'm in the same boat. Last week I grabbed the first ME and Beautiful Katamari through Games on Demand. This week I may pick up Sonic Racing if I don't find anything better for $20. I do have a physical copy of ME2 though.
Wow I hope they add more.
They will. Sales don't usually take effect until 3:00 AM Pacific. These were probably an accident from the countdown sale.

Cool. Just scary cuz they are all EA published.

they always have some arcade games on sale too, right?
That sounds a little low...

Madden and NHL Arcade
Command and Conquer: Commander's Challenge (featuring Ric Flair: WOO!)
Deathspank and Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue
Gatling Gears
Spare Parts
Fancy Pants Adventure
NBA Jam: On Fire
Battlefield 1943
Microbot
Wing Commander Arena
Boom Boom Rocket

and, of course, all the Hasbro games are EA published as well.

For some reason I never associated them with many Arcade games. I Think mostly because of all the publishers I have the least amount of stuff from them so my bad. Now I want goddamn NBA Jam: OF.

I think I'm on stage 6 of Bloodrayne, and I'm enjoying it so far. If it's just going to sit in your backlog though, you're probably safe passing on it for now in hopes it will go on sale again down the road..... Anyway, that's what I'm doing with ITSP. :)

Yeah, I am also playing Bloodrayne and I am aslo enjoying the game more than I thought I would, I am on stage 9, the end of stage 8 was messed up lol. Anywho, I am glad I jumped on the sale, now I am hoping for an NBA Jam sale.

So....I've been anticipating this sale waiting for crysis to go on sale, but I was just on my xbox and realized I already have it, Don't remember buying it but oh well must have been a late night impluse buy, well worth and full price,

If NBA Jam drops its worth it, I paid full price for it and think it was well worth it

This seems reasonable and logical, however searching for Bad Company 2 on xbox.com shows this before you click on the game page:

VIP Access is not included with Games on Demand purchase.

EA is nuts. They seriously don't take the time to work out giving players who pay full price for an intangible product that has no resale value full online access?

That being said, I'm actually strongly considering picking up the GoD version of BC2. I'm a Battlefield nut and have put in tons of time into the disc version so I already have the lame VIP access and the Vietnam expansion. How cool would it be to essentially turn this into another Battlefield arcade game and be able to boot up a quick match or two at any time? That might be worth 1200 points to me.

My only concern would be the size of the remaining online community for BC2 with BF3 out now. I usually play during crazy hours so I need there to be Conquest games available around the clock. Does anyone here know how BC2 is still holding up online? If not I'll pop in at the Battlefield dedicated thread. BF3 is a great online experience but I'm not sure I didn't enjoy BC2 more.
On my 360 dashboard, it had an ad for Crysis 2 on sale...wait for it...........$34.99!
Yeah it does that for both crysis games I get excited thinking its a sale and they're both regular price.
I'm thinking about making a new thread for 2012.
With almost 4500 posts it would not be a bad idea.
what do you mean on physical media?
XBLA compilation discs contain several XBLA games on a single disc, but the DRM license embedded within each title is locked to that specific disc. "Worms" is another example of a game that was available on 512mb MU's as a promo, but only licensed for play from that MU. See OP's list by clicking "XBLA Discs" under the question "Q: I noticed some talk about "compilation discs?" What is that and is it cheaper?".
