Great sales so far. Def. Picking up bg&e
If it helps, I'm at about 5,000+ Wizard Score due to the HUGE amount of multipliers I got for buying those 12 tables/3 packs (I'm at 14x at the moment since I also have SF2 & Paranormal). You can see my Gamertag on the left of this post.

Also, is it just me, or was there no XBLA release today?

I'm definitely picking up BG&E. I should have gotten it when it released, at 800 points, to drive demand for the sequel, but after a while felt I may as well just wait for it to go on sale. I would have gotten it for 400, but if it really is 240, that's fantastic.

Can someone break down pinball fX the difference between for and classic ? Which h on is better? Also what is the marvel. Package? Tia

LOL at Battlefield 2 going on sale with no servers anymore. What a complete troll move to the people unaware. It's like buying a game, going home, opening it, only to see the box is empty.

It's only partially empty: there's still the single player content.

Core was developed for FX2, so it has the most features and options, and is the most diverse.

Marvel is the most recent 4-pack and is.. well.. based on Marvel characters.

Classic is the old FX1 tables remastered, but they still lack the features and options that the newer tables have.

If you actually click on the BF2:MC link in the sale section of the xbox dashboard BF:Bad Company 2 comes up for purchase.

ok ok how about this. its like buying a cheeseburger with everything on it, then you get home and you got no cheese and no condiments. yeah its a burger still but...
Ed Boon tweeted that MKAK patch should go live 6th December.
https://twitter.com/#!/noobde/status/139098750462328832

I've also read it elsewhere, but they might also have based it on this tweet.
Oh wow, this is kind of important enough to be mentioned in the OP? This tweet wasn't too long ago either, not bad. I hope one of the three "surprises" isn't the fact that it's on sale Friday, but I'd actually hadn't read his Twitter at this point, and it's got some useful info, like no more DLC for MK9, and the given fact that they're not working on an MK vs. DC sequel. I bet one of the surprises is MK10, just sayin'.
I'm kinda hoping that since the patch took so long to implement that it'll be more than a bug fix, we'll see.
Opinions on Warhammer 40K: Killteam and Risk: Factions?
I wasn't disappointed with Risk factions at $5. Single player is fun but short. It just gets a bad rep because it goes on sale at least 6 times a year. Apparently online isn't that great, though I never played it. Because it's Risk, it's easy to tell who's winning & losing, so the player that is behind usually just quits out of the game, and the winner doesnt get a win recorded.

Demo for killteam was ok. I'm picking it up for $5.

Thanks for the input. I'll pick up both games. 200 MSP for Risk and 400 MSP for Killteam - can't go wrong with that.

I'd like some input as to whether or not Stacking is worth buying. I'm not a huge double fines fan but I did enjoy playing Costume Quest. Still debating on whether or not to get The Baconing as well. Even though I heard the gameplay just drags on and is repetitive.
I really enjoyed 40K. Well worth $10, let alone $5.
Glad that you enjoyed it. Just watched gameplay on YouTube, and I'm sold (especially since I'm a sucker for twin stick shooters). The lighting effects from the gun fire look awesome.

I thought Costume Quest was much more fun than Stacking. I loved CQ, but still haven't finished Stacking after getting it on sale several months ago. If the demo doesn't grab you, then there's nothing in the full game to change your mind.

Gonna +1 this. Finished CQ in one day, have taken months to get through Stacking...the concept just wears thin after a couple stages. It's not a bad game, just...somehow lacking.

+1 again. I loved CQ so much that I beat it in one sitting. On the flip side of the coin the DLC Grubbins on Ice just felt lazy. I wasn't nearly as impressed, I laughed out loud multiple times playing the full game, but not once during the DLC. Not worth 400 asking price at all, I know it's never been on sale, but keep waiting, trust me. I played the full demo for Stacking and it just seemed way too simple and didn't grab me like Costume Quest did. If I even did buy Stacking I'd say 200 would be the most I'd pay.

In other news, REALLY hoping for Bastion and Fallout NV DLC. Glad AC:B DLC FINALLY went on sale, but I mean what took so long? Revelations is already out. I loved the demo for Warhammer Kill Team, but no online was a total deal-breaker, but I'll probably bite for 400.
Yes, I did this last year. My Xbox was being refurbished and I bought a bunch of games through the web. I downloaded the, when my console got home but I also had to redownloaded everything else since that's how you finish the license transfer for content.

I'm doing it again now since I sold my Xbox and will buy a new one Friday.

I wasn't gold last year and am not now either.

Do you have or had a Xbox with Xbox Live gold ? Then yes, otherwise I don't know .

Correct, just don't sign onto any other xbox consoles either until then
Awesome! Yeah, my HDD just failed, so I'm waiting on a new one. Thanks, all!

Risk really is a pretty fun game and the single player has some funny moments in the cinematics, but yeah, the online is plagued by people who just give up when the game switches from being in their favor. If you had a friend who owned the game, and since it's been on sale 6 times there isn't an excuse not to, would be fun to play against them.

WoW!!! Ms.Splosion Man WAS 400 Msp
Opinions on ... Risk: Factions?
RF's MP > SP. Especially when playing with friends :)
I disliked the SP only because I'm biased against the AI being able to defeat me even when I'm 4:1 against them. It's the sort of jaw-dropping disbelief that at times makes me want to chuck the controller at the TV.

One known bug: don't play the demo on your main account, or if you must try the demo, play it on an alternate account. for some players (like me) after playing the demo & buying the actual game, when we launch RF, it will stall just before the main menu screen. this only occurs when we launch the game with signed-in accounts that has played the demo. The only known workaround was to sign-off, launch RF and then sign-back in. Again not sure if they've ever patched it. don't ask me why there's such a quirky bug.
You probably didn't have to quote the whole OP, xFaith lol
sorry,I couln't figure out how to remove it
Opinions on Warhammer 40K: Killteam and Risk: Factions?
I really like Risk: Factions singleplayer. I haven't tried multiplayer at all. I enjoy the art style. If you're not into "casual' gaming, you might not like it as much as I do. I find games like Risk, Peggle, and Bejeweled are a nice break from the intensity of the "core" games.
sorry,I couln't figure out how to remove it
You could go back to the post, click Edit, and then delete the text that you don't want to quote. That would be considerate as people will still be looking at the last few pages for a while.
ok ok how about this. its like buying a cheeseburger with everything on it, then you get home and you got no cheese and no condiments. yeah its a burger still but...
I stopped at a Burger King in Murfreesboro, TN once and asked for two double cheeseburgers without a bun (I'm gluten intolerant, shouldn't be eating BK anyway but whatever). I got about 10 miles down the traffic-jammed road before finally discovering that I was given, I shit you not, four beef patties. And NOTHING else. Talk about a rage-induced scream.

OK, back to the subject... :p
I'd like some input as to whether or not Stacking is worth buying. I'm not a huge double fines fan but I did enjoy playing Costume Quest. Still debating on whether or not to get The Baconing as well. Even though I heard the gameplay just drags on and is repetitive.
I'll join in on the Stacking hatred. It kind of drags along and the cool premise goes away quickly. And it's an adventure game, meaning perfectly sensible solutions to problems DON'T work and it quickly infuriates the player (it does for me anyway).

I would say pay no more than 400 for it, but preferably less. I got it free on PS+ thank god.
The single player mode in Risk Factions is painfully short.

There always seems to be a few people on for multiplayer games, but as with all games like this (both board and virtual), you have to worry for the people who rampage after losing a battle they considered a certain-win for them then quit.

You can play both regular old Risk and the new kind of Risk, which I personally don't enjoy as much, but it's a nice change of pace.

I'd say I'm happy with the $5 I spent on Risk when it was the Family Deal of the Month earlier, but I wish I'd waited to get it for $2.50, it's definitely worth that much. As for Stacking, I really enjoyed the demo, but when I played through it a second time, I could see how the charm could wear off quickly. I know I'd scoop it up @ 400, the question is whether or not I'd want to wait for another sale, nevermind being at that price point.

Guess I'm gonna try the trials for Warhammer and Full House Poker over the weekend to see if its worth it. I'd highly recommend grabbing the free Summer DLC regardless, since as was pointed out, it's seasonal.

Also, for those of you considering buying the Classic Pack for FX2, check to see if your Xbox has the Pinball FX trial pre-installed. I got a 250 GB holiday bundle Xbox in Jan of this year, and while browsing my various demos, discovered I had the trial. I figure I might as well just wait for when I can plop down 800 for the full game which would give me the Classic Pack for FX2, since that price isn't changing anytime soon.

Excited about this sale.

Stopped into a TRU today to use the 20 giftcard from buying Skyrim there to grab a Xbox points card, and they were out of the 1600 ones. Manager at register looked around for them for a few minutes (the store has them somewhere according to computer) then just does a override for one of the new (to me at least) 3x800 point card packs.

Let the sales begin!
Sega rally online worth 400 MSP?
I'm playing it right now and so far I definitely think it's worth the points.

The only negative thing I can say about it is that the Championship mode is a little short.
Did ms not release any new xbla games this week?
who wants to be a millionaire Special edition. Supposed to be this week, I guess it got pushed back until next.

Man I'm glad I checked this thread! I just started playing AC:B and wanted to pick up the DLC, but planned to wait until it went on sale.

Am I correct in understanding that this DLC is basically the extra single player content that came with the collector's edition of the game?
For $10- It's debatable...
For $5- Without a doubt, buy it NOW!
What about if I already own SEGA Rally Revo?

It came out elsewhere, it's not being released in North America.
