The first two have already been 50% off, each - surprisingly quickly after launch, too (the first re-dropped when the second was on sale, as well). I'd expect Old World Blues to drop before the end of January, and the others to be 400 each at the same time.

Then again, they'd still be $20 (points RRP) for all four DLC; $16 normal CAG Live points price. You can get New Vegas and all four DLC for $15 on Steam today. :D

I'm not making this any easier, am I?

I think for the sake of saving time (since I have all those hours in my 360 version), I'll just wait on price drops. I don't have time to play through the entire game again. But those prices are TEMPTING!

Naaah, I think I just won't play it on PC as much, simply because I don't see myself playing through it all over again. I appreciate the input anyway! Helped me make up my mind lol, just need to wait it out for the XBL DLC to go on sale!

Jokes on you. You're in the minority as most people in this thread have or will purchase at least 1 item or more. I buy lots of microsoft points and did the bing thing for awhile too, not worth doing the bing if all you're looking for are 70% off sales. All it cost you was time and electricity really so don't get too greedy. Some of these deals are good, some aren't. But full house poker is worth 400 ms points, mk kollection is worth 400 msp to me (nostalgia) and some others are good, just spend wisely. Look for good deals on ms points.

Along with the sales comes a new audience so that gives some games online play life again and now you can boost or just play to have fun. While people sit there and save up their points for a miracle sale, others are enjoying playing great games :bouncy:
 
I think I read awhile back that some Achievements for the Poker game are unavailable now. Can anyone expand on that? It's a longshot for me, but if the achievements are unattainable it'll def be a non-purchase.

P.S. Not looking for typical "Oh just play the game and don't worry about achievements" comments looking for info on the question. Some people enjoy achievements and they're obviously here to stay so save it.

Just by a quick overview, it looks like there were achievements that were tied to a "season" of poker (Spring 2011, Summer 2011, etc). Apparently those are unattainable now but are counted as DLC achievements.

I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like.

You can't get some of the DLC achievements. For this game you buy the full game, and all the DLC is released free with seasonal sessions. They've only done two so far (maybe that will be all they do), but you've missed one already. You can still get full gamerscore for the game part, though, just not for the DLC, so you'll be at 250/300.

And, for what it's worth, I hate this game. The poker is so mind-numbingly bad that it will actually make you a worse player. If you love playing freerolls where people call down with anything or go all-in pre-flop just because they can, then this is the game for you.

I'm not sure how they would be available as some of them are for ranking highly during each season.

Example: I ranked high enough to get a gold medal during the summer season live tournaments and got that achievement. A new season started in the fall but I havent played it yet so didnt get that achievement. Once the seadon is over I don't know how it would be possible to win previous seasons achievements.

And I spend less than a minute each day doing searches so to ME it's worth it. Just have to be patient to accrue enough to cash in. Thanks to Bing I spent no cash on Amazon so far.

Official wireless controllers are exactly as good as the wired kind. In fact, you can get the transforming d-pad controller (wireless only) and it's actually better thanks to the improved d-pad.

In wired controller territory, the Hori EX Pad 2 has the best d-pad of any Xbox 360 controller, 6 face buttons (perfect for fighting games), and adjustable turbo for each button. However, the analog sticks aren't quite as nice as the official ones, so it's a bit of a trade off.

I know someone who has had problems with 3 of the black wired controllers. My white wired controller from 2006 works fine. The black ones were having problems that seemed to be related to the wire...the controllers would just randomly not respond to the system as if they had lost power. We tried them on my console as well and they had the same problems. I'm pretty sure he wasn't doing anything weird. If it was just 1, I wouldn't even be posting this. But getting 3 bad ones in a row makes me think it might be a bigger problem.
 
I've got a question regarding all the ongoing sales: According to Major Nelson's Inside Xbox video (which his Crazy Larry gimmick is hilariously bad, by the way) he states that not only will there be a Black Friday 1-Day Only Sale, but there will be a "special sale" for Gold members only from November 25th-28th.

So... that means that on Black Friday (at least), there will be 4 sales running concurrently? 1. Deal of the Week, 2. Fan Appreciation, 3. BF 1-Day Only Sale, and 4. Special Gold-Only Sale.

I know we don't know all the details and specifics, but nobody really seemed to talk about that special Gold-Only sale he mentioned. See, because if there is an additional sale, I get the feeling that at least 1 Summer of Arcade title from this year will appear in it... (Come oooooon Bastion!)

Correct, there are still 200 base achievements, but there are additional achievements which are added for each "season", which you can't go back and earn. But there are still 200 gamerpoints available, and from there on out you can earn the seasonal ones.

Awesome game by the way, the only flaw is that the one on one matches can drag on, which is annoying because you aren't playing for real money. One on one in poker for a pot, or at least to earn your money back, is awesome. But when you're playing for game points, its irritating when it lasts 30 minutes, you want to just give in and make it end, but you don't want to give in. That's the only flaw, but that's really the flaw with any poker if there is no real value attached to it. Still, it was worth it when I paid full price, this day is so worth it.

Buyer beware on these Hori controllers. Between myself and my friends, all four of our controllers eventually ended up with an issue in which the controller picked up movement from the sticks when there isn't any (referred to as "ghosting" if you want to look it up). They are easily one of the best controllers that I've ever used, which makes this quality issue such a bummer. Mine started doing it a week after I bought it, and the replacement lasted a whole 6 weeks.

Also, Gold preview until the 27th. That's doesn't mean you get in on gold sales, but can watch ESPN or Hulu or Netflix, or get in on some multiplayer.
 
Deals may be live as I checked Warhammer 40K Kill Team and it's at 400. Also checked Bastion out of hope and it wasn't on sale. Dang it.

Thanks for the responses on the Poker game guys. Probably gonna pass, if I was gonna get in on it I should have done it from the beginning.

Yup, just picked up Full House Poker for 400 points. Even if it's just mediocre to bad it'll still be a decent time waster.

I had the same ghosting problem with my hori.
 
I can confirm warhmmer kill team and full house poker is at 400 points.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is indeed 320 points...

Anyone finding anything unannounced items?

the three games that we know that go on sale tomorrow already have their sale price on xbox.com. MvC 2 for 320 is weird but if you dont have it, the fuck you waitng for, a price of 76 MSP?

Quick spylon go and check all arcade games and dlc prices on xbox.com and report the ones that got discounted.:D

Did some snooping around and all of the announced deals are now live. Note: I checked all the summer of arcade games and none of those are on sale.
