Might want to look into asking someone who does before you buy any themes. I still haven't redeemed my Sonic Generations theme because I want to see what my current premium themes look like once I get the new dashboard.

It's true. Trust me, unless they change it, it's not worth any money. Just stick with any theme you currently have

It's nothing like Stuntman. It's an arcadey rally racing game. All rally racing has a "spotter" that calls stuff out for the driver. I guess you haven't played any of the DiRT games?

Hrmm...that's kind of disingenuous of them to keep selling it. I'm in the dash beta and have the 2008 Holiday Theme (love it...use it every year during the holidays LOL) and haven't really noticed any problems. I think I might have some other premium themes I got for free. I'll test those. If anyone else is in the beta and can elaborate...would appreciate it.

For the premium themes there's usually a specific background item when you sort through friends. Not anymore in the coming update as the only time you see a specific background object from your premium theme is when you select your own profile. That and the bottom half is basically just a wide empty space now as well. So unless they fix it before the official update the Premium themes are just a total waste.
 
yeah the premium themes aren't necessarily ruined or useless, but they aren't as good, that's all. the friends portion is gone and the main theme on the home page is essentially cut in half by that grey thing at the bottom of your current dashboard, that thing gets bigger and blocks more of the theme. so while i wouldn't recommend paying money for any more themes, there'll probably be another free one for christmas / new years and in the mean time just use the current free ones

Another thing about the premium themes is that they will probably not look as good with the new Dashboard Update coming in December anyway?

...I thought about the TRON Premium Theme too :p
 
I've been hoarding points for this? This sale (so far) is garbage. Just my opinion but man they could offer a little more on Black Friday for crying out loud.

They didn't at first, but they just fixed them. When you get the new update it'll be good. The only difference is that when you look at the friends, they're more close together and the images behind them are about every 2-3 friends instead of one behind each friend. Still looks cool though.

Stacking came out 9 months ago, Trenched 5 months ago. Generally takes 6 months or more to see a "AAA" XBLA game on sale.

Not to mention that it finally comes out in Europe next week which is essentially a relaunch, doubt it'll be on offer for quite some time.

I'll have to try Space Marine's demo and see if it's worth the 400msp. Can't believe this is all there is for the "Epic" Black Friday sale this year. They probably should have put a few of the Fan Appreciation deals in there instead to fluff it up a bit more. I guess this means the stuff listed for Monday is all we get too. I know I sound bummed but only because I was hoping for more. Still going to pick up a few more games this week and overall there has been quite a lot to buy on the cheap.

Looking forward to the end of the year sale now with high expectations that at least one SoA game goes on sale (I'm looking at you Bastion! I know you've already been on sale on Steam so why not on XBLA too? Pretty please with sugar on top?)
 
I guess that "and more!" meant "and more disappointment".. Still grabbed MvC2, but it will likely be the only thing I get during this sale. It's the only thing out of a dozen older XBLA games that I've been waiting for discounts on during this sale. My hopes for a better Cyber Monday sale have tanked.

Let the multitude of complaint-filled pages commence.
