Looks like rock of ages is back to 800 msp on the website.
Not surprising since it doesn't go on sale until Tuesday.
i want a sale on original xbox game stubs the zombie

i saw an article on ign where they were reminiscing their favorite memories of the xbox on it's 10 year anniversary, many mentioned that game which i never heard of

i watched some vids on it and it looked cool
If you can find the orignal Xbox game disc for cheap, it's playable on your Xbox 360 if you're using an official Microsoft hard drive.

Finally got around to playing the demos of the four games on sale this week. Only liked Hard Corps but unwillingly to spend since I don't think I'd play it much. Not my kinda thang.....I'll save my points for the New Years sales which start in 2 DAYS!!!

 Couldn't resist. I LOLed at your response

Redjoey, looks like you also need to emphasize the dates of these sales aswell as the 48hr trial issue, before you know it, the sales will be in post 3 just so people won't spam the thread with shit every week.

In anticipation of NEXT WEEK I just tried out the demo for Rock of Ages. It's a fun quirky combination of Super Monkey Ball and tower defense with a Victorian sort of art style. I plan to pick it up when the sale starts.
I have concluded that I will never how to play Bangai-o. I've tried it on the dreamcast, ds and 360 and I always die on the first level lol
dash, freeze, and counter attacks
dash, freeze, and counter attacks
Yeah, I guess I should do the tutorial since I have no idea what any of those are. I've just been flying around with the left joystick and using the right joystick to shot stuff.
Bangai, Guwange, and silvergun, which one to grab if I can only afford one?
Play the demos. Silvergun is considered the great classic, but really just buy what you enjoy.

Yeah, I see issues with adding the end date.
Bangai, Guwange, and silvergun, which one to grab if I can only afford one?
I got silvergun and hard corps.

those are awesome. the others look good but the aforementioned ones were the ones that resonated with me.
How is contra hard corp? Is that a genesis remake?
Although it plays much like a Contra game, it's not a part of the series and is instead a brand new IP.
I really hope for Solitrio Solitaire, Marvel Super Hero Squad DLC, and Crimson Alliance to be on sale.
I'm with you on SHS and Crimson Alliance! :) My daughter and I love that game.
Although it plays much like a Contra game, it's not a part of the series and is instead a brand new IP.
It's still a sequel to Contra Hard Corps... They are just spinning it farther away from the main Contra series (despite how well it fits in most ways).

I did get in on the Countdown Deals last year, but was wanting to see what you all thought would be up for this year's deals. Is it likely that the Summer of XBLA games will be on the list? What about Black Ops map packs?

Thanks for the free theme post. :)

I hope some of the Summer of Arcade deals are posted for the countdown. Love to get Bastion, Twisted planet, and Dust.

Wish we would get some free aracade titles like the Doritos, seems to be every two years (if they keep it up). Enjoyed last years Dorito titles. Getting some free xbox live WP7 titles is nice however.

I picked up After Burner the last time it was 400 points (last Christmas? two Christmases ago?) and it's a fun little game. Also an extremely easy and quick completion.
Seems Sega is doing ANOTHER sale. At the moment, though, seems to just be Renegade Ops for 800 MSP & After Burner Climax for 400 MSP. I'll keep an eye out for Sega to officially announce this.
AWESOME! Thanks for the heads-up. Renegade Ops is definitely on my list, and from the looks of it, I can wait to see what I have left after the year-end countdown to pick it up.

Just thought I'd remind everyone that Outrun Arcade gets de-listed at the end of the month, so if you have the slightest interest in that game and didn't catch it on sale earlier this year, now is the time to buy it.

As someone who bought it in the last sale, I have to say it's not very good. It handle like an OLD arcade racer and is brutally difficult with not much explanation as to what you're doing wrong. I immediately regretted spending the 400 MSP. This has been a public service announcement designed to save you regret. :)

Alright, here's the official announcement.

1st off, those 2 games will be part of the 11 Days of Christmas promo Microsoft is doing, so no word on WHEN they'll be on sale. Also, update on After Burner Climax. It's going to be on sale for 200 MSP.

For 200, I'll definitely bite. Just like the good old days at the local arcade (RIP) without the whole awesome equipment set-up and with better graphics.

Edit: the deal page shows 400 MS points, not 200. So the same deal I passed by before.

The Sonic Christmas Bundle includes:

Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic 4
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure Add-On

Sonic Adventure w/ the Add-On alone is $15. For $5 more, you're getting 3 extra games.

Also, bad news. After Burner Climax for 200 MSP was a typo by Sega. They've confirmed by Twitter it's 400 MSP.

Hmm, since I have PS+ it's really just $10 more from Sonic 4 and I get 1/2/Adventure+add-on. Going to need to see what the other person in the share wants to do.

Thanks for the info.

In the nicest possible way, let me just say...

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH. ;)

In all seriousness, it is really meant for fans of the original Outrun game (which I am) and you're right, it handles very differently than most racers today (ie: drifting perpendicular to the road for sections on end).

It's not meant for everyone, but hey, there's a demo, and I think anyone who's interested should at least give the demo a shot and decide from there.
Really hoping for the last two New Vegas DLCs to go on sale.
Ditto here. I haven't played New Vegas since before Lonesome Road came out, hoping the that and the Gunrunner's Arsenal are part of the sale this year.
Last year, Major Nelson released the whole schedule for deals on the first day, right?
No, but he did give us super obvious hints for each day.
Seems I'll finally get Sonic Episode 4 on PSN for $5.
Yup, me too. Finally $5
Last year, Major Nelson released the whole schedule for deals on the first day, right?
Yes, I believe the hints were actually on the dashboard for each day. Because I remember knowing what day Hydro Thunder would be ahead of time.

My guess (and hope) is that they will do a "Countdown to New Year" sale that goes from Dec. 20-Jan. 2, and then have daily sales on top of that. Hopefully these 2 deals won't be part of a daily sale, cuz I don't find them all that tempting.

+1 with further emphasis on the bolded text

It's old school hard as heck. I have 0 gamerscore out of it but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

Hopefully, yeah. These deals announced by SEGA are meh (woulda bought Afterburner in a second if it was 200 msp), so a couple sales going on would hopefully make a lot more people happy
