I confirm UFC is free for now. But it requires a credit card to charge $0 to. I got the HD version, I'm excited, never watched UFC before.
You couldnt hope for a better freak show main event. These dudes are HUGE.

From the all the positive reviews (including here) on Bastion and since it's a one day sale, I decided to pick it up before going to work. I've got a busy day so I didn't want to take a chance and miss the sale. I'm looking forward to it! Tried the demos for Bangai-O, Guwange, and Radiant Silvergun. I was pretty sure I'd pick em up but for some reason, I couldn't get into any of them. I even tried playing them on a different day and still felt the same. I'm not a hardcore SHMUP fan but like the occasional one here and there. Anyways, I'm also interested in Renegade Ops. I downloaded the demo and will try it tonight. I like twin stick shooters and the setting looks cool. Any thoughts on it?http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...-9115-d80258410a54?DownloadType=Game#LiveZone
For some reason the UFC App has disappeared from my apps section, and it's not even in the app marketplace anymore. Anbody know whats going on?
Was that console in the beta? I just had the same problem and had to order through another console.

I had to use Bing search to find it then redownload it. Then I had to use the Quick Launch and Recent Downloads to launch it. MS still hasn't removed the beta section from my dash.
Lookd like UFC 141 is free through the UFC app. Free is limited to the first 25K to "buy" the fight
I asked somewhere else, but figured I'd ask here too.

I'm getting a new console for Christmas. Will my purchase carry over to the new console once I do that license transfer thing?

Renegade ops got a lot of praise when it came out. I didn't love the demo but it seemed to have depth. Several vehicles/characters with different upgrade trees and different abilities. 4 player online co op is a plus (don't think it has local).

That being said I bought it and played some b4 work this morning. Glad I bought it. Seems fun but fairly difficult solo. Ill recommend it on my limited play time and exp with it.

Ill also state it's a sizeable download at 2 gigs if space is an issue for anyone.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the demo tonight. I've read on several reviews that the best experience for this game is through co-op. If this doesn't have local co-op, that's a bummer.
Limited to the first 25K, better get someone to get it for you
Shit. I'll try and get my brother to do it, but if the app is buried and requires a search, he won't be able to find it anyway. Maybe it'll still be around tonight.

Yes, it's 2Gb. Almost 3Gb on the ps3. The game has nice graphics, and decent upgrades, although only some vehicles are worth upgrading for the solo campaign.
The A.I., and the game in general is ridiculous on the last level. So, co-op is definitely recommended at least for that level.
To compensate for not being able to have a game larger than 2gb on xbox live, it seems that Sega compressed some of the sound files. Therefore, you will occasionally hear crackle when there're a lot of explosions going on at once.

Renegade Ops has local split-screen multiplayer.

Just picked up UFC for free. Here's hoping I actually remember to watch it.

Played a little bit of the Bastion demo and wasn't totally sold on it. Immediately the art style and the Sam Elliott-esque narrator drew me in, but the combat bored me quickly. Plus I might need to get my eyes checked because I had a hard time distinguishing some of the smaller floating enemies from the background. Very pretty game but I don't see myself wanting to get through it.

fuck it's telling me it's sold out now
Seems like I'm the only one in for Peggle Nights.. along with Bastion! :D
I'll be getting this one too assuming it works with the Peggle version that came with my Plants vs Zombies disc.

My points card from ebay/buy.com should be in my mailbox when I get home tonight so I will finally have some points to make purchases. Feels like I have been waiting forever for it to get here.

I originally came in here to post about how the Bastion demo didn't impress me at all aside from the visual style and the narrator, until I continued on playing. By the end of the demo, I was left wanting more.

The thing is, I only have 840 MSP and I loved the demos for both Bastion and Renegade Ops. I was surprised by Renegade Ops because I normally don't like top down racers or shooters.

Your choice is easy as Bastion is only on sale today and Renegade Ops is on sale all week.

As Gabrius said, I would get Bastion today since it's only on sale today while Renegade Ops is on sale till 1/2. Then go get another points card to get Renegade Ops and possibly any of the other daily deals :)

Will you get any gift cards etc for Xmas? You could use those to get more points.

Oh, I knew Bastion was only on sale today, but I thought Renegade Ops and all the others were only on sale today as well. Thanks for the heads up! I'll pick up Bastion now and get more points for the others. Thanks guys!
anyone know the full price of sonic cd? running low on pts and only wanna buy it if 400 is a sale price
400 is the retail price.
I asked somewhere else, but figured I'd ask here too.

I'm getting a new console for Christmas. Will my purchase carry over to the new console once I do that license transfer thing?
I honestly don't know, but I'd wager it's tied to your gamertag and you could easily switch.

When all those deals went live last night, I thought for sure that MS would say they accidentally flipped the switch on the 12 days of deals early and most of those things would go back up to full price today.

So happy to see there's a holiday sale and 11 more days of deals.
I honestly don't know, but I'd wager it's tied to your gamertag and you could easily switch.
Yes all licences, except rentals, will transfer over to a new console games, god, dlc, videos. (Not sure about Zune content as I have never purchased something from Zune marketplace.) I have done this multiple times over the years because of Red Rings.
I wonder what's next...will we find out in few hours like we did for bastion last night?
It's all up to MS (they can drop the prices any time) but my site should find it soon afterwards. Check around 6:30 to 7:00 Pacific.

Grabbed Rock of Ages as well... still debating Bloodrayne and the LA Noire pass. On the former, I'm just intimited by the extremely mixed reviews... on the latter, I haven't even had a chance to play LA Noire yet and am always hesitant to buy DLC for games I have yet to try...

I would say only get the LA Noire DLC if you care about achievements. Unless you're using a walkthrough and rushing, the main game will take a good bit of time to complete so, to me, the extra content kind of felt like work. Also, this is already the second time it's been on sale (third if you count the early-adopter discount) so it seems likely to be on sale again if you love the game so much that you need more cases.

Good points all around. I think I'll wait on it... heaven knows my backlog is big enough as is. Thanks for the recommendation.

Does the Complete Version have everything that the Season Pass offers? I was thinking of waiting until that version drops in price later on. My backlog is too high right now.
Does the Complete Version have everything that the Season Pass offers? I was thinking of waiting until that version drops in price later on. My backlog is too high right now.
To the best of my knowledge, yes.

Isn't the Rockstar Pass missing "The Consul's Car" case? The Complete Version is the way to go for a completionist.
Isn't the Rockstar Pass missing "The Consul's Car" case? The Complete Version is the way to go for a completionist.
Is it definitely included in the 360 version? I can't find confirmation of that and they didn't add new achievements.

Personally I thought that cases included in the Rockstar pass were better than most of the cases included in the main game, it's an absolute steal at that price.

I picked up Bastion and Rock of Ages. I'll almost definitely get ITSP, and I'm considering Renegade Ops and Bloodrayne, but I'm waiting for more daily deals.
I'm thinking about grabbing Portal: Still Alive. Worth it, or should I get Portal 2 on the cheap?
If you've never played Portal, I think it's worth it.
Is it definitely included in the 360 version? I can't find confirmation of that and they didn't add new achievements.
Yup. And there aren't any achievements associated with it, just like there aren't any trophies with it.

I watched plenty of video on Rock of Ages and loved it, but I just got around to playing the demo and I felt a bit underwhelmed.

What gives? I was so set on buying it, now I'm unsure.

Bloodrayne Betrayal's demo was horrible. Just an awful attempt at stylish tough action. Dishwasher beats it in just about every respect. What a disappointment.

Renegade Ops is also decent as a demo but it never gets better. It's just the same boring back and forth objectives with lousy vehicle handling all game. In co-op it might be a little fun but it's not a good game by itself.

Afterburner Climax is good fun though, if you like something light and wow and not that deep
I'm thinking about grabbing Portal: Still Alive. Worth it, or should I get Portal 2 on the cheap?
If you've never played Portal 1 in any form, absolutely get Still Alive. DO NOT play Portal 2 without having played the first, it won't have nearly the same impact.
Unless I'm blind, is the 12 days of sales not being advertised anywhere on the dash?
you're blind.
its at the very center of the games tab

I just wanted to stop in after my 12 hour work day to say...

BASTION. fuck YEAH.

Killer opening to a great sale. Totally considering ITSP and Rock of Ages as well. I'm going to try the demo for Renegade Ops.
