I was sold on Bastion after playing the demo and hearing the Narrator. I would pay that man to read me a bedtime story after I get tucked in. Was that too far?
I stocked up 2400msp from religiously doing my Bing searches and earning my Bing Rewards. It helps to have a few accounts also... ;)
how do you do multiple accounts?

i tried and all but the first one i started were deactivated
how do you do multiple accounts?

I have 7 accounts all on diff email addys. And have had them for the whole year. I just push buttons and search nothing really while bored at work. So I get paid and get free Microsoft points! And as a bonus the signup referral promo has been very good to me. I'm just loaded with points.

I make it rain with points lol
I'm thinking about grabbing Portal: Still Alive. Worth it, or should I get Portal 2 on the cheap?
You could do that... Or you can get The Orange Box (which includes Portal, HL2, HL2 Episode 1, HL2 Episode 2, and Team Fortress 2) for about $20 (not including shipping and taxes) on Amazon. IMO it's better to buy The Orange Box (You're basically paying $4 per game).
Well I heard controls for leedmees was AWFUL. Something about kinect movements crapping out in the game..Not sure if that has been fixed in an update or not.
This! Anyone considering Leedmees, I urge you to read my review. While the concept is great, the controls are completely horrible, making the game far more difficult than it should be. Worst game I played this year.

I hope the turd that hacked Xbox live and got my account information (because they didn't get it from me) and is preventing me from buying games (the dumbass bought Halo Reach with my points, but I was able to reclaim the account and reset the password) gets hit by a truck.

So... I'm locked out from buying anything (go to Giant Bomb for more details). Please buy the hell out of these deals for me, I wish I could.

My friend who bought Bastion when it came out was yelling at me via text for not buying it on Steam a couple of weeks back for $5. I had 540 moon points left over from the XBL Dashboard deal last summer (3 months and 800 pts. for $12.50) after buying Beyond Good and Evil HD for 240 pts. a couple of weeks ago and the remainder was going to expire at year's end, so I had to buy something, so I bit.
LOL fanboyism. All the high-end hardware in the world won't fix a badly-implemented port from console, of which there have been plenty over the years (anything from Capcom until the last few years, for example).
Im a PC fanboy? lol. I dont even have a gaming PC, i mean i have a crappy laptop that barely plays anything...i have a 360, PS3, Wii...i built my own computer years ago but i spent more time upgrading it than playing games so i stopped and sold it. Ok maybe i shouldnt have said ALL games are better on PC, but most of them are IF they work right. And yes some games are worse on PC because of hardware/software issues like Rage and such, but usually they come out with updates and patches to fix them.

I picked up Bastion earlier and only played for about an hour but I'm enjoying it so far, especially hearing the narrator's voice. Really nice way for Microsoft to start this sale. I can't wait to spend the rest of my points.

is there a way to sign up new accounts with our own referral links? I havent gotten any points out of those yet/ no one to sign up on the link.

has there been any news of the free bing points coming to the UK? getting a bit pissed off that everyone is getting free points but i can't.

i used different emails, they still deactivated my accounts which really sucks

i was hoping to create 30 or so and never have to buy points again

I just created a bunch of new email addys and copy and pasted the referral link. Rinse and repeat for each account free 100ms points for every account.

when I try to do that it seems to know who i am, even if im signed out tho?
Broke as hell.
Bought Bastion anyway.
Totally worth it.
Can't believe it took 5 months to put this thing on sale. C'mon Microsoft, you don't have to be THAT big of dicks.
It's pretty much what happened to Lara Croft last year, same thing as the best game of the Summer of Arcade that year. This is one of the games they'll discount once or twice and that's it.

Hasn't every summer of arcade game from the last few years go on sale? Outside of Third Strike Online I held back all purchases in hopes for a sale, and of course Bastion goes on sale! Yay!

Maybe starting in 2012 I shouldn't buy even digital games day one anymore... wish I had that kind of self restraint.

Remember that the "Joe Danger SE" free DLC (Santa on an ATV) debuts today (Dec. 21st). Once it goes live here, you only have until Dec. 25th to grab it. More details about the Santa DLC here.
put Leedmees and Hole in the Wall in the OP. Hope that is the actual sale
You are the only one. The. Only. One. :)

Hope this is the day 3 sale:

Defense Grid 400
Orcs Must Die! 600
Dungeon Defenders 600

It's not unreasonable.

Liking what I've seen so far - grabbed Bastion, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and Renegade Ops. Hoping for Trenched, Toy Soldiers Cold War, Orcs Must Die, Skydrift, Burnout: Crash, and NBA Jam On Fire.
Thanks for the heads up on UFC 141, this will be the 3rd one I get for free.
I get them "all free". Thank you Bit Torrent ;) :applause::applause:

Awesome though for anyone who got in on this.

Just a heads up in case you don't know, Trenched is called Iron Brigade now.

Hoping for something on Burnout too. Would've been waiting on Orcs Must Die too but couldn't pass on the Steam sale.

Before you pat yourself on the back too much, I THINK with this deal you get to watch them live, which would be pretty sweet if I gave a crap about UFC

You're right, and it would be a great way to see how the Xbox UFC app does in regards to buying PPV. However, I can just as easily stream the fights online too.

It's somewhat a shame too because UFC could sell 7-10 Million PPV buys instead of the 1-2 Million they consistently have if not for Online Streaming Live, and Bit Torrent the next day to download.

Thanks for the heads up on the name change. I might have missed it otherwise. Now that I have a Kinect, Burnout Crash might still get a buy at 800 points, but I'm biding my time. The Steam deal is what gives me hope that we'll see a discount on XBLA.

If you already downloaded the demo, apparently you should delete it and download the one under the new name or the game won't run.

Good lord. To quote Steve Jobs, what a bag of hurt.

I'm holding off on buying the Summer of Arcade titles on sale (yes, even the great Bastion) since gift shopping and spending entirely too much on deals for myself has taken a massive toll. I have 200+ arcade games thanks to Deal of the Week and other promotions, and I know all the SoA titles will be discounted again.
Anyone who is in need of point shoot me an email. I have $10 off coupons for 1600 MSP. There are 4 coupons per sheet.

You're welcome.
I think I remember hearing about these a while back. They are supposedly fraudulent coupons. I'd be careful using these.
I think I remember hearing about these a while back. They are supposedly fraudulent coupons. I'd be careful using these.
They are fraudulent.

Can someone give me the lowdown on these coupons? What makes them bad?

I would really like to know before I go over to Best Buy and attempt to use them..... cause it sounds like I might have to go to Kmart instead ;)
getting raped in the ass in prison for using fake coupons would suck
What are you in for? "I killed a guy trying to steal my car"
"I robbed a bank at gunpoint"
*nerd voice* "I tried to save $10 on downloadable games so I could buy my favorite role playing game on the cheap"

*punch*

Someone created them, they are straight up fake. Using them is stealing. Not like grey area stealing, straight up stealing.

Damnit now I can't claim ignorance...... well that's what I get for asking.

I hate my local Kmart, which happens to be run by mentally challenged asshats, so I still may try it.....

....on second thought, $10 isn't worth the potential buttrape.

I really doubt you would go to prison for using them. More likely they would make you pay the $10 plus some sort of penalty for theft. Could be wrong though, not worth the risk either way imo. Too many legal opportunities to save on points year round to take a route like this. Knowing the end of the year sales come every year I always stock up when I can. Still have at least 4 4k cards sitting in my desk ready to go.
