I hope the turd that hacked Xbox live and got my account information (because they didn't get it from me) and is preventing me from buying games (the dumbass bought Halo Reach with my points, but I was able to reclaim the account and reset the password) gets hit by a truck.

So... I'm locked out from buying anything (go to Giant Bomb for more details). Please buy the hell out of these deals for me, I wish I could.
So what's stopping you from opening a second account to buy games? It's a hassle, but it beats the alternative.
So what's stopping you from opening a second account to buy games? It's a hassle, but it beats the alternative.
That's what I ended up doing. I'm glad the deals aren't Gold exclusive because I'm trying to save my free month code from MS for my main account.

Had 1800 points in my account. Picked up Bastion and ITSP yesterday. If Ms. 'Splosion Man comes out at 600 points, my XBLA wishlist will be complete.

It was 400 points like 3 weeks ago.

Well played, sir. Well played.

ha ha ha... what a UFC stealing, BB shopping putz. You tell em.
Yeah, I tried back then, but it was only for Gold account users.
Oh I see. I make the mistake of assuming everyone is a Gold user a lot. My bad.

Don't feel too bad I would have pointed out that it was on sale a few weeks ago as well. I also assume everyone is Gold all the time.

Yup, in the same boat. Especially if they're waiting on a sale.
It is lonely up there on your pedestal?
Very. Cold up here, too.

Sorry, but I make no apologies for my statement. Anyone stupid enough to brag about piracy on CAG deserves to be banned, IMO.

THIS x 100000

I have no idea why I bought Crysis when it came out..... I haven't even played it yet. I guess I just assumed it wouldn't dip under 1600MSP ever.

Since I'm typically not too cynical, I still hope it goes on sale for those of you wanting it.
Whatever speed is gained by the new dash (and it does indeed load faster) is unfortunately killed by all the additional scrolling and clicking and going into sub-menus you have to contend with. I'm sure it's probably a couple quick hand waves with the Kinect - but I own a controller and a remote. The place where I'm living is too small to accommodate the thing. Plus, I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a $100+ peripheral just to get the dashboard to function properly!
Depending on what you are looking for the scrolling appears less than prior iterations, imo. Plus you have the guide button to find things as well. Either way it is rather easy to find things. You hit the bumpers to scroll the tabs for example to the games section, apps, etc. Before you would have to hit the dpad up and down until you found the correct area, and follow up by moving the dpad to the right until you find what you are looking for.

Now I hit the bumper hit dpad down once or twice and done. The home tab has the disc tray and recent games/applications right there, and that is fast. things are way easier to find. Finding anything in the last dash was a pain. The few things I think is a fail is the indie games was not improved within the market.

I do think it seems slower to load some things however-on the fence with that one. The voice command is the best feature, screw the hand waving. The voice works so well, fast, easy, the bing search using voice is faster to load one of my arcade games than than to find it.

OT-todays deals are not my bag. Bummer
Want Crysis and the 2 HD Res. Evil games to go on sale for $10 clams. C'mon!!!!
I would love to see Crysis on sale as I've been holding out on it but i think $10 may be wishful thinking. I would think $15.

People struggling with navigating the new dash really should learn how to utilize the blades (pressing the guide button) - I don't use the dash for much of anything since there has always been a quicker and easier way of doing things (usually).

I'm really hoping that they have some sort of deal on gears of war 3 online pass. Really want Raam's shadow plus the rise of fenix coming out in a few weeks.
Leedmees. Yes or no? Discuss.
From my research it looks like a no at least for me. I was going to buy until I went to reviews, and followed up on xbox360achievements.org and read the posts. achievements appear hard, and not fun.

The one day I don't get on my Xbox I miss the sale on Bastion which is the one game I really wanted during the sale. Hopefully it'll be like other SoA games and go on sale again eventually.

Thinking of picking up Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Renegade Ops.

Says the person who openly talked about using a fraudulent coupon at Kmart because they're "mentally challenged."

Agreed. This is Cheap Ass Gamer, not Broke Ass game, and piracy drives up prices which goes against everything we stand for.
Says the person who openly talked about using a fraudulent coupon at Kmart because they're "mentally challenged."
Didn't know what made them fraudulent, and once I did, I retracted my statement. Yes, I inserted a jab about K-Mart being run by primates, but that's besides the point. The coupons have already been shredded.

Since the entire discussion was deleted by a mod, I cannot do anything to remove the smugness you're exuding, but please, defend the pirate some more.

I'm not defending the pirate. Just pointing out your shit doesn't smell as sweet as you think.

To bring this thread back on topic the best I can:
Anyone know what the difference is between Hole in the Wall XBLA and the "Deluxe edition" physical copy?
oh well, I tried.

Bastion Dlc is $1 because pub said ms made them charge bc all Dlc must have price. But Santa joe danger suit just came out for free. Any insight as to how that works? Anyone? Fryyyy?
Bastion Dlc is $1 because pub said ms made them charge bc all Dlc must have price. But Santa joe danger suit just came out for free. Any insight as to how that works? Anyone? Fryyyy?
I've always heard that each game gets up to one free DLC on XBL, but Microsoft requires a charge on all other DLC. It's probably on a case-by-case basis though, depending on the publisher. If Activision were to ever want to offer all Call of Duty DLC free (that would a cold day in hell with pigs flying and monkeys coming out of my butt), I don't think Microsoft would be willing to tell them no.

Interesting. But then bastions Dlc should've been the free one, pub has said no more coming. Thanks!

Edit: truth of it probably comes down to that the game sold well, ms knew they could squeeze some money easily there.

The Bastion DLC doesn't have achievements, so it's not clear why they were forced to charge for it (while, for instance, Portal 2 and Monday Night Combat had free DLC packs that didn't add achievements).

What Rockstar said regarding Red Dead Redemption was that they were allotted a certain amount of free DLC. They never specified whether that was size or achievement amount or something. They've released more than one free DLC though and released one free DLC since they said they ran out of free DLC so I'd say that while Microsoft does limit free DLC, it probably really is a case by case basis. RDR's last free DLC was sort of a last hurrah, an official last DLC so it looks like Microsoft made an exception.

Also Kinect Sports Season 2 got free DLC and is going to get more free DLC apparently. So it's clearly not a set thing if it's a requirement at all. Maybe they are charging $1 for the DLC because they chose to do so? I don't know.
