• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Gamerscore has changed a lot over the past few years. Remember how Avatar The Burning Earth became so well known on 360 because you could get the full 1000 in a few minutes? Now several games come out every week that give away 1000 points in less than an hour.

as far as I know yeah

some of the achievements are dlc based so youll just get the main game achievements

it's also one of those games you can do both on pc and xbox as separate achievements if I remember right

My last 1000gs game was AC Origins and I actually got the full 1500gs that took me 125 hours to complete everything.Towards the end I was a bit burnt out since the game is massive and wanted to be done with it.Overall the game looked and played smooth as butter.

I did that 2 years ago with Origins, and started december with Odyssey, I only got some achievements left of the last 2 DLCs (Hades and the 3rd), and I can't take it anymore, Hades DLC has become so boring... still, must ..... complete .... the ... damn .. GAME!

I think the real world violence I witnessed as a kid jaded me to violence. My therapist keeps pushing on it. Watch horror movies, made one once, blood doesn't bother me, it's weird. I have actual feeling as witnessed by my complete breakdown at my divorce tho.

I'm picked Watch Dogs Legion and it's just kinda mindless fun. I like it. Im waiting on a possible apartment and fighting with my soon to be ex over the right to live so I'm treating myself to little things. Living on my best friends couch I think I can buy a damn video game.

This can actually be done on XBox, but you need a non bluetooth keyboard and mouse and I guess the keyboard must have a designated + sign key to get it to work.

Going through some of my downloaded Game Pass games to see if any quick achievements to be had and have to say Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's storyline campaign is trash. So damn trash. I've never been so eager to skip through cut scenes so I can fight really the same two opponents with different characters with easily interchangeable personalities over and over again. Even then I much rather do this than go through a Telltale game right about now.

You can still click the options button over the tile and choose to quit the game. That will cause the timer to stop without using quick resume.

If you stick with it you'll see it's a short game and a fairly easy 1000G. Just might need a little backtracking at the end with an online map.

The Xbox One S Hot Wheels bundle for $199 was my first experience with Forza and I had no intention of playing it. Fast forward a few months and I’d bought all prior Horizon games and they are my most played games. Epic games and I’m holding out for FH5 to get the new console.

I used to really enjoy racing games but ever since the first Horizon came out, what I enjoy about them totally changed. Yeah, I still like the races but driving around in the different cars on a open map is the best. I love sitting in the driver’s viewpoint to see the dashboard.

I just discovered FH4 Forza Live or accidentally ended up participating in it (just been accumulating skill points for my cars before) and now I'm addicted to it and have been playing it every hour to get forza points. This game just has so much. I wonder what they're going to do with FH5.

I think the biggest game changer that Forza as a whole has done for racing games that I'm legitimately surprised has not become standard in most racing games is the rewind button. Like playing any other racer and immediately pressing Y after messing up a turn and not being able to correct it is so frustrating after it's become standard in nearly all Forza games for about a decade.

Yes! They fixed the most frustrating thing in every racing game. It's infuriating when you are in 1st place until one tiny mistake on the last lap puts you in dead last.

I've been back to FH4 a lot since picking up the Series X. Smooth 4K60 and nearly instant fast travel have made this even more of a joy to play.

I think I kind of get it. Does it ultimately matter, no, but watering down achievements will ultimately destroy them as they are. I don't go for them but I can appreciate the effort some people put into them; sucks if they cheapen that effort. I guess the serious hunters can just complete the easy games too to make it a wash. Paying for GS or encouraging shitty games to sale just for easy GS feels a bit greasy though...

The Gamerscore quest is a good idea, but buying games just to earn 10,000 Microsoft Rewards points makes absolutely no sense. 

Playing stuff that's already in your backlog that you might not otherwise touch, downloading Games With Gold and Game Pass games, and downloading free games to complete the requirement does.  I think that Microsoft does these types of promotions with the intention of getting you to play a bunch of the games in your backlog so that you will ultimately buy more games.  But I've got plenty.  

I'm trying to finish My Friend Pedro, and I already started Coffee Talk which was a Games With Gold offering.  It popped four achievements in the first five minutes of the game.  I will also play several of the Telltale games.  I love the Batman and Back to the Future franchises, so I'm looking forward to those, but I could care less about The Walking Dead, so I hope that I don't get bored before I get the 10,000 points.

The siblings were interesting to keep me engaged and the story itself is fine, but man, Dontnod needs to take a break with all their games and re-visit how they're coming up with them. I loved, loved, loved the first Life Is Strange (might be one of my top 5 games ever) but each of their subsequent games has gone down in quality imo.

As an aside, I'm still waiting on Microsoft Rewards support to give me my points for the Countdown punchard. Sent a ticket in literally the day it disappeared from the dashboard since the day before, it wasn't showing completed. Nothing so far other than a "we're sorry this happened, we'll look".

Is anyone familiar with UPS return pickup? Amazon told me UPS will come by today or Monday and to leave my package out front and they will just come pick it up and ship it back. I called UPS and was told they will come out Monday and leave a slip and then come back the next day to pick up the item. That makes no sense. Why would they come back 2 days in a row when they can just take the item and return it that day? I called Amazon again and asked if I can just go to a local UPS store and drop it off but was told that the item doesn't have a QR code to email me so I would have to print out a label they email but I don't have a printer. I was then told I would have t o pay out of pocket to return the item. I was advised to ask UPS whenever they arrive on Monday if they can just take the item and return it right there and then. I was told UPS will provide a box to ship the item back in.

I don't know when they are coming on Monday so I have to wait all day. She said it could be as late as 8 pm. I have never returned a product through Amazon but this doesn't seem to be an easy thing to do. I suppose I can drive to a kinkos, pay to print out the label and then drive to the UPS store and return it that way but that's more driving than I want to do. I am just going to wait around on Monday and ask UPS when they get here if it can just be sent.

There are more things that need patched in ACV? I'm still playing it on Series X and not many issues at all outside a few mysteries not loading right and going back a few autosaves or reloading fixes that.

I was in HS in the early 2000s from super low population conservative areas so it is based on a environment that I could relate the basis of the game

Oddly enough I went in expecting very well put together characters as the protagonists and a bunch of stereotype small town bigots but I so far (almost done with chapter 2) am finding the opposite in my opinion

the side characters are more complex and well put together than just (small town bigot bad trans person good) and I thought they did well on those

the 2 main characters are boring (his sister is about as generic and forgettable as a character can be) and the dialogue is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh between them

I'm glad they did it and I'm glad they brought in people from the community to help them with it but so far they just didn't do it for me on these main characters but the surrounding story and characters were well done imo but I still have a chapter to go.

Whatever it is that is needed to really enjoy this genre of gaming I don't have it though because it is brutal to sit through the long scenes only to go click on stuff on a linear path before another long cut scene. Is anyone familiar with UPS return pickup? Amazon told me UPS will come by today or Monday and to leave my package out front and they will just come pick it up and ship it back. I called UPS and was told they will come out Monday and leave a slip and then come back the next day to pick up the item. That makes no sense. Why would they come back 2 days in a row when they can just take the item and return it that day? I called Amazon again and asked if I can just go to a local UPS store and drop it off but was told that the item doesn't have a QR code to email me so I would have to print out a label they email but I don't have a printer. I was then told I would have t o pay out of pocket to return the item. I was advised to ask UPS whenever they arrive on Monday if they can just take the item and return it right there and then. I was told UPS will provide a box to ship the item back in.

I don't know when they are coming on Monday so I have to wait all day. She said it could be as late as 8 pm. I have never returned a product through Amazon but this doesn't seem to be an easy thing to do. I suppose I can drive to a kinkos, pay to print out the label and then drive to the UPS store and return it that way but that's more driving than I want to do. I am just going to wait around on Monday and ask UPS when they get here if it can just be sent.

If you've got a local library that's open, see how much it is to print there. That's where I go to print up the return labels for $.10.

If you do print it up, look to see if there's a UPS drop off box closer than the UPS store. As there's been times where it sits at a store for a few days, but the drop off box ones get picked up that day(if you get there before pick up time).

There are more things that need patched in ACV? I'm still playing it on Series X and not many issues at all outside a few mysteries not loading right and going back a few autosaves or reloading fixes that.

In February they are adding raids that can be redone. They haven’t said when but they are also going make it so we can change the appearance of our gear like in Odyssey.

First game beaten this year is Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. I Played and beat it out of morbid curiosity and because somehow it's over 60GB and I hope the game files are just padded with UHD pictures of the developers pets because it sure as hell didn't go into the game. I'm just once more glad that Game Pass saved me from ever blind buying this game.

Almost done with The Gardens Between and it's a nice reminder I am ing stupid at puzzle games, but I dig the art direction and I'm glad I learned about it through Game Pass AND easy achievements!

I’ve had a few mission glitches but got around them with google searches. The main issue affecting me that I hope is patched ASAP is the last update introduced a quiver glitch. Despite multiple upgrades I’m still stuck at a low number of arrows. It’s a confirmed bug.

Decided to finally get back to Halo 5, which I was only half way though. Not sure if I’ve just gotten older and suck or if it seems harder than the other Halo games? Probably just older and suckier.
