• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Has anyone here tried fixing the stick drift on their controllers by replacing the parts inside?  I have a Dawn Shadow controller with stick drift in the left thumb-stick and I've been trying to decide if buying a small replacement part off Amazon versus just looking for a busted controller to part out

I have. You have to have a small tork screw driver. Its a star bit with a hole in the middle. I bought one on ebay for like 3.00.

I bought a non working controller on rbay. Took the parts I needed and resold it back on ebay as a parts only controller.

Its pretty easy to fix them. Most of the time the little rubber bands that hold the joystick in are dirty and gummed up. Clean them and reset them and normaly fixes the problem

Unless you know that the spare parts you are ordering for your controller are as good as stock parts, I would just buy a controller for parts. I need to do this because I have a controller that is otherwise fine but one of the rumble motors came loose and I am NOT into soldering. But since I was looking into that I've gotten three new Series X controllers so that's on the back burner.

Literally just replayed AW two or so months ago, but would definitely replay it again for a 3rd time if this is legit. You just don't get near that quality of game nowadays. Almost everything now is as generic as possible, and is probably open world.

Guess its totally the opposite for me then. Dead Space 1 is, IMO, the greatest survival horror game ever made, so I was REALLY hoping for a remaster more than a remake. I've avoided all clips of the upcoming "remake" because I didn't want to be disappointed about all the changes I expected to happen with a "remake". If its updated textures, 4k res, along with the generic QOL stuff, sign me up day one. If it's an actual "remake", I have no interest in it.

Well took little under two years, but beat all seven of the mainline Yakuza games and just thought I'd rank them from best to worst or what to expect if you're going into it.

#1 Yakuza 0 - Holy shit I look forward to giving this game another play through in a year or two on my XBox. The humor in the substories hits and the writing is great as well. I Put over 100 hours into it and I look forward to revisiting with achievements.

#2 Yakuza Kiwami 2 - The new battle system and graphics engine (if you're going from 0 and Kiwami 1 to this at least) make this feel like a proper followup to 0. Not only that, but it gives unexpected closure to parts of Maijima's story in 0. The only reason it isn't #1 simply because 0 felt more epic in scale with Maijima as a playable protagonist in that one.

#3 Yakuza 6 - It was great, but didn't feel like up to stuff as Kiryu's last outing as the protagonist until the last hour or so. Even then the substory's are good, but no where of the quality of Kiwami 2 and 0 since there were fewer and majority were just related to the side games, which are thought out in itself and fun, but I wanted more dumb substories with Kiryu. With that the ending though is great and gave me a great sense of pride knowing I played through them all and saw all the changes.

#4 Yakuza Kiwami 1 -  Very little humor in the game overall, but the story is great. Not much else to say, just felt like a downgrade when going from to 0 which had two protagonists and two cities straight to this where it's just Kiryu and one city.

#5 Yakuza 5 - Does everything 4 does, but better. Better thought out story and side games and better indication of where the series was going to go with the humor. With that all said, holy shit the enemy encounters in this game is ridiculous. Multiple times I finish a random fight and some random gang would immediately pick a fight with me as well then another and constantly just getting harassed by enemy's. The game also felt much longer than it needed to be.

#6 Yakuza 4 - First game to try and do multiple protagonists at once and it fumbles it and definetely falls and lands on it's face by the last chapter. The writing is just dumb. The big twist in the middle (that 0 was basically building up) is so dumb and non sensical and hard to take seriously. The game also just draaags out the mystery of the story by having people giving big long monolouges about to reveal some serious shit get shot in the off screen by someone constantly. It's so annoying. The protagonists aren't much better as it feels hard to relate to them most of the time because they make such stupid choices and the last hour or so... Holy shit they just didn't know how to write a conclusion with four characters and you can tell as the final battle makes absolutely no sense, but they had to try and find something with these characters.

#7 Yakuza 3 - Holy shit. This game needs the Kiwami treatment bad just because as much as I love Kiryu, the gameplay and writing are all so bad. If given a Kiwami levels remake it wouldn't fix half the problems, but at least it'd be fun to play. It feels and looks like a PS3 launch title with both the graphics (some of the NPC's. Woof...) and how clunky the mechanics are. The story though, by God the story is painfully bad. It goes from a game about the Japanese criminal underworld to a story of international affairs and soap opera levels twists and it all doesn't work. You also have the slice of life segments and they bring nothing to the game and instead slow things even further. If you were to skip this one or YouTube bits and pieces of the ending I would not blame you.

So yeah, fantastic series even with two games in it that are meh to just so bad. With that all said I will for sure one day or another replay 0, Kiwami 2 and 6 one of these days.

Try 0 and let me know what you think. My friend wasn't big into Yakuza after she played the game on PS2 then I told her "YOU GOTTA PLAY YAKUZA 0!" and now she's nearly done with 5 and ready to go see the places the game based parts off of in Japan. It may seem daunting at first, but 0 will let you know if the series is worth it or not to you because the high's of the series are so great (if you're at least skipping 3 and parts of 4 though I guess).

Funny you and I have an almost identical list. Only difference is that I actually rank 3 higher than 5 and 4. I know I'm in the very minority with that and I'm the first one to admit the gameplay is lackluster and absolutely needs kiwami treatment. But I actually liked the city and I liked being Kiryu throughout and spending real time with Haruka and the rest of the kids. That's not to say the game doesn't get stupid as hell. But honestly I just kinda feel like 3, 4 and 5 are the low points for the franchise. Then again I do actually really like Akiyama from 4/5 so I guess there's that. 0, K2 and 6 are definitely the standouts for me. Did you play Y7 or Judgment?

I Do agree Akiyama is the better of the large ensamble based games not counting Kiryu (totally honest I think I might enjoy Shinata in 5 more), but it's not until 5 where I fully liked him. How he hid the money in 4 was so stupid that it felt allot of the positives I saw in him were just immediately taken away. Yakuza 7 though I'll probably start tonight then go to Dead Souls, Judgment, Fist of the North Star and Lost Judgment. I'm confident enough that I'll enjoy Judgment that I already bought it again for the Series since by the time they got to the new game engine it feels like they know what people want to see in their games.

I'm glad you got some enjoyment from Yakuza 3, but that one I think I also might've dumbed down to easy just because I was so over playing it and I wanted to just beat it for the sake of beating it. Only positive for me in that whole game was Kiryu's English learning substories.

The album is almost like a greatest hits album in that every track beats and arrangement wise sounds different from each other, but the tone and vocals somehow connect them all together. Reznor and Ross you did it again!

Halsey album is like a pretty mess. When it works it's great, when it doesn't I don't know wtf I'm listening to. There's 3 songs at least that should have been just left off for a tighter project. 5/10

I played Kiwami a while back and though it was ok.  I liked the story enough, but the gameplay wasn't for me.  Like A Dragon is amazing though.  The main characters are such nerds.  It's great.

I really really enjoyed Yakuza: Like a Dragon. So far it is the only game in the series I have played, so I don't know how connected the stories are or if the cameos have more meaning than I know.

I've always planned on playing all the games but never got around to it. Even owned half the games on PS3, collecting dust before I traded the system in.

Just bought Death's Door, Blaster Master Zero 3 and Star Hunter DX to knock out the summer spotlight punch card.  Bought all on the console, and the rewards page on the web updated pretty quickly with each purchase and redeemed the 5k points.  Don't know if I'll get the extra $10 for being GPU.

Blaster Master Zero 3 wasn't in the spotlight section in the store on console, but was on the web.

Not sure what other games aren't in the console list.  Looks like Blaster Master Zero 2 missed the spotlight window by a week or I'd have the set.

Considered buying Castle of Pixel Skulls DX and Ravva and the Cyclops Curse as cheap, quick platformers, but they appear to have start up issues for some people.  The dev for Ravva is posting in one of the TA threads about it, which is nice to see.  It appears to have trouble on Series X/S consoles.
